Geneva Lee Vaughn Cruze, age 84 of the Glendale Community, went to be with the Lord Saturday morning July 28, 2001 at the Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a retired LPN for Eastern State Hospital and was a member of the Unitia Free Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, James B. Vaughn, Sr. and Linnie Dovie Crisp Vaughn; son, Glenn Douglas Cruze; and a brother, Fred Allen Vaughn.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Mary Cruze of Seymour; daughters and sons-in-law, Vivian and William Hiltz of Kensington, Conn.; Linda Spires and Bill Spires of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Starla Spires Gill and husband Kevin of Atlanta, GA; Brian Allen Cruze of Fairfax, VA.; brother James Vaughn, Jr. and wife Marilyn Maxwell Vaughn, of Lenoir City; sister, Dorothy Mae Vaughn of the Glendale Community; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends from 6-7:45 p.m. Monday with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dewey Morton and Rev. Jimmy Guider officiating. Elizabeth Vernell Long Evans, age 76 of Maryville died at 6:40 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2001 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She worked at the Lay's Variety Store from the time it opened until its closure. preceded in death by: Husband, Edward J. Evans, Parents, Ben and Stella Long, and Brother, Larry R. Long.
Survivors include: Son and daughter-in-law, Ronald E. and Katherine Evans of Alcoa. Daughter, Elissa Eve Evans of Maryville. Two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Brother, Ben D. Long of Louisville. Nephew, David Long and niece, Cynthia Smith.

Grace Tallent Hampton, age 80 of Rockford passed away Saturday morning, July 28, 2001 at Fairpark Health Care Center. preceded in death by parents: John and Effie Bell Tallent. Sister -- Neida. Brother: Homer Tallent.

Neoline Elizabeth Patty McBee, age 86 of Alcoa died at 5:30 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2001 at Asbury Acres Nursing Home. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Alcoa, order of Eastern Star, Alcoa (Prudentia Lodge). She was a seamstress for Minton's for many years. preceded in death by: Husband, James L. McBee.

Roy Neal Payne, age 62 of Maryville passed away Friday evening, July 27, 2001 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He attended Lone Oak Baptist Church. Retired from Alcoa and a member of the 25 Year Club. preceded in death by parents: Robert Dale and Bertha Mae Palmer Payne.

Rena Secrist Inman, age 91 of Walland passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2001 at the family home. She taught 1st grade in Blount County for 42 years and was one of the first Head Start teachers in Blount County. preceded in death by husband, J.D. Inman; stepson, Tom Inman; brothers, U.L. Secrist Jr., Harry Secrist; sisters, Inez Delozer, Virginia Secrist; parents, U.L. and Dorotha Secrist.
Survivors: daughter, Ginger Inman and partner in life, Charles Underwood both of Walland; stepchildren and spouses, James T. and Edna Inman of N.
