Paul Goodman Sharp, age 90 of Culloden, Ga., formerly of Alcoa, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999 in Culloden, Ga. He attended Beech Grove Baptist Church in Louisville, Tenn. He retired from ALCOA. He was preceded in death by wife, Margaret Ada Davenport Sharp and parents, George and Ida Sharp.
Peggy Jean Davidson Henderson, age 78 of Maryville, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at Fairpark Healthcare Center. She was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church and was former President of the altar guild. She was a graduate of Alcoa High School and a graduate of Knoxville Business College.
Robert Hubbard, age 94 of Etowah, formerly of Maryville, passed away Tuesday morning, Feb. 9, 1999 at Woods Memorial Hospital in Etowah. preceded in death by wife, Mary Ellen Hubbard; sons, Edward and Roy Hubbard.
John E. Pate, age 72, of Knoxville, died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999. He was a graduate of The University of Tennessee. He was a member of Emerald Avenue United Methodist Church. He served as a missionary in Cochabamba, Bolivia for 3 years, along with being a Minister of Education in San Antonio, Texas for 2 years. Upon return from his missionary work, he taught in the Knox City and Knox County School Systems for a total of 31 years prior to retirement. He was a Boy Scout Leader in the `60s, an avid reader, bird watcher and an advocate for youth in our community.

John Echard Cutshaw, age 93 of Maryville died early Monday morning, Feb. 1, 1999 at his home. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and a Mason. He was a former Blount County School Board Member and operated Cutshaw Grocery Store for many years.
Clarence Leonard Baker, age 73 of Greenback, died at 3:43 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29, 1999 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army where he served in World War II. He retired from Scruggs Restaurant Equipment. preceded in death by: parents, Clifford and Rena Baker; two brothers; five sisters.
Lloyd Baumgardner, age 87 of Maryville died at 2:06 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999 at the family home. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in World War II in the European Theater. He retired from Sears and Roebuck with over 20 years of service.
