WILLIAM 'DAVID' JONES
William 'David' Jones, age 62 of Rockford, died suddenly Wednesday, August 1, 2001 at the family home. He was founder and owner of David Jones Excavating. He was involved in the excavating business for over 25 years.
He was a member of Central Point Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Lyle Jones and father, Jake Dewey Lee Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Jeannie P. Jones; son, Mark David Jones of Texas; daughter, Heidi Danyelle Jones of Rockford; close friends of the family, Julie Hickey of Rockford, Larry Truitt of Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lindy and Callie Jones of Knoxville; Eldon and Penny Jones of Rockford; sisters, Billie Faye Summers and Shirley Ann Dunlap, both of Knoxville; sister and brother-in-law, Betty Lou and John Smith of Morristown; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral service will be at 8 P.M. Friday, August 3, 2001 in the Dotson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Beecher Whitehead and the Rev. Chris Cupp officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 A.M. GLENN CROWDER 'DOC' WILLOCKS
Glenn Crowder 'Doc' Willocks, age 83 passed away July 23, 2001 in Winston-Salem N.C. He was born in Maryville, Tennessee and was a longtime resident of Boca-Raton, Fla. He operated his own electrical contracting business in Tennessee and Florida. He was spending retirement in Boonville, N.C.
Survivors: wife, Helen Louise Willocks who still resides in Boonville, N.C.; sons, Ron of Longmont, Colorado, Nick of Longwood, Fla., Curt of St. Petersburg, Fla., Steve of Boonville, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren; sister, Vesta Willocks Dzura of Quakerstown, Pa.
Graveside service and interment 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2001 at Magnolia Cemetery, Rev. David Sweitzer, Rev. Jerry Sweitzer officiating. Rella G. Atchley, of Maryville, died at 8:15 a.m., Monday, July 30, 2001, at Fairpark Nursing Center. She was a member of Grandview Baptist Church. She was a switchboard operator for Blount Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Theodoshie Atchley; brothers, Herman, Lloyd, Shirley and Mayford.
Survivors: brother, William Hubert Atchley of Maryville; brother and sister-in-law, Wendell and Jackie Atchley of Maryville; sister, Grace Atchley of Maryville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2001, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary with Chaplain S.M. Atchley officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 2, 2001, at Grandview cemetery for the interment. CHERYL WILLIAMS BUCHANAN
Cheryl Williams Buchanan, 43, was born on July 25, 1958, to the union of John and the late Mary Williams. She expired on July 29, 2001, at Blount Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was baptized at an early age, and was a member of Pilgrim Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Rockford. Cheryl was a devoted and caring mother who deeply cherished her children. She will be sadly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Buchanan; mother, Mary Williams; and brother, Victor Williams.
She leaves to mourn her passing, children, Leon, Nicholas, and Ashley; father, John Williams Jr.; brothers, Pedro (Mary), Mack (Tamekka Wilson) Williams; granddaughter, Ayla; father-in-law, Alvin Buchanan Sr; brother-in-law, Don Buchanan; sister-in-law, Ann Buchanan; many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including her best friend Jo Ann; special family friends, Dorothy Mynatt and Inell Thomas.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. at Foothills Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 1, with graveside services to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Alcoa. The remains may be viewed after 12:00 noon on Tuesday.

Wanda Louise Lynn, age 68 of Maryville, passed away Monday morning, July 30, 2001, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Member of Central Baptist Church in Alcoa. preceded in death by father, John M. Beets; brother, Clyde Beets; sister, Helen Beets and granddaughter, Sinda Harmon.
Survivors: husband, Gardner Boyd Lynn; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald B. and Gerri Lynn and Christopher and Tammy Lynn, all of Maryville; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Johnny Whitehead of Tallassee and Delta and Lynn Kirkland of Maryville; grandchildren, Cregg Lynn, Angie Myers and husband, Steve, Doyle Stephens and wife, Susan, Tanya Extine and husband, Brian, Penny Stinnett and husband, Jesse, Kimberly Teffeteller and husband, Mark, Grover Kirkland and wife, Lisa; great-grandchildren, Ashley Lynn, Cody Myers, Joey Stephens, Elizabeth Stephens and Sofia Harmon; mother, Ulela Beets of Oak Ridge; sister, Johnnie Gary of Oak Ridge; several nieces and nephews.

DONNA M. TOOMEY
Donna M. Toomey, 66, formerly of Alcoa, died Monday at her residence in Paragould, Arkansas. A former administrative assistant to the Works Manager of Alcoa Aluminum, she was an accomplished musician having played for churches in East Tennessee. Moving to Paragould in 1989, she sang in the choir at First United Methodist Church for many years.
Survivors include husband, Kent of Paragould; two sons, Major Timothy Toomey of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and Christopher Toomey of Bartlett, Tennessee; one sister, Betty Reynolds of Alcoa; five grandsons.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Heath Colonial Chapel, Paragould, Arkansas. Visitation is Tuesday from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Heath Funeral Home.

EMIT BUMGARNER

Emit Bumgarner, age 79 of Friendsville passed away Sunday, July 29, 2001 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Laurel Bank Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the Seabees in the Pacific. He was a longtime freemason, member of Rockford Lodge #469, member of Martha Washington Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, 32 degree member of the Scottish Rite, and a Shriner. He retired from Alcoa and was a member of the Alcoa 25 Year Club. He retired as a millwright.
Survivors include: children, Paul Bumgarner of Friendsville and Betty Bumgarner of Knoxville; brothers, Paul Bumgarner of Newport, Wallace Bumgarner of Rutledge, and Ferman Bumgarner of Rutledge; sisters, Myrtle Roberts of Fort Oglethorpe, GA., and Hazel Gowans of Hot Springs, NC; sisters-in-law, Coleen Bumgarner of Rutledge and Bonnie Bumgarner of Maryville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Charles Bailey officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Rest Haven Cemetery, Newport, TN. for the interment.
DANA ELIZABETH CANNON
Dana Elizabeth Cannon, of Maryville departed this life Saturday, July 28, 2001 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church Alcoa, and order of Eastern Star.
Preceded in death by husband, Floyd Cannon; parents John Henry and Annie Hammontree; brother, Henry Hammontree; sisters, Hettie Lambert and Gladys Henry.
Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, James Lawrence and Glenda Cannon; daughter, Anna Geraldine Conyers; grandsons, Stephen Conyers, Kevin Conyers and wife Kathy, Neil Cannon and wife Paula, Craig Cannon; great granddaughters, Kelly and April Conyers, Ashelee Cannon; brother, Joe and wife, Lucille Hammontree; sister, Jonnie Mae Dorsey; several nieces and nephews.

Nancy Evelyn Rutherford, age 80 of Maryville died at 4:55 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2001, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member and Sunday School Teacher of Grandview Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by husband of 57 years, George Rutherford; brothers, Earl and Clyde Whitehead; sister, Georgia; and parents, Burl and Mellie Whitehead.

Dorris Lynn Walker Teffeteller, age 39 of Maryville died Sunday morning, July 29, 2001 at Blount Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was a member of Zion Chapel Baptist Church where her husband, Norman is Minister of Music. She was a former worker at BTR Sealing Systems Tennessee Operations. She and her husband were co-owners of AIRCO Heating and Air Conditioning Company.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dewey and Ella Eve Prows Walker; aunt, Marcella Walker Ruggles.
She is survived by her husband, Norman; daughter, Sandra Teffeteller; parents, Orville and Ida Beth Walker all of Maryville; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Denise Walker; niece and nephew, Rebecca and Zacharie Walker all of Yorktown, VA; cousins, Darlene Conne, Angie Oliva of Centereach, NY; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Arthur and Sarah Teffeteller, Wayne and Janice Teffeteller, Clifton and Wilma Cooper, Mark and Betty Christenson, Jay and Connie Teffeteller; Several special friends, Sandy and Danny Hutsell, Lisa King, Donna Sweet, Judy Jones, Francis Hill, and Betty Payne.

Audrey Carson Anderson, age 71 of Maryville passed away Friday, July 27, 2001 at Maryville Health Care Center. She was a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church. preceded in death by husband, Joseph Q. Anderson.
Survivors include: Daughter, Emily Jo Williams of Maryville. Grandchildren: Carrie Elaine Williams of Nashville, Ben Elam Williams of Maryville.
