KITTRELL, MARTHA ESSIE PEMBERTON, 92, Oak Ridge, formerly of Alcoa and Knoxville, died May 31.
Survivors: daughter, Elizabeth Kittrell, Oak Ridge; son, Robert E. Kittrell, Dunwoody, Ga.; six grandchildren.
Graveside service will be private. Arrangements by Berry Funeral Home, Knoxville.

MCQUEEN, SAMUEL B., 54, Knoxville, died Monday, May 28, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville.
Survivors: wife, Darshan McQueen of Knoxville.
No local services are scheduled. The body was transported to Sullivan Funeral Home in Novi, Mich., for services. Interment will be in Oakland Hills cemetery in Novi. Local arrangements by Dotson Funeral Home.

MOODY, DENNIS D., 66, Friendsville, died Thursday, May 31, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He retired from ALCOA.
Survivors: wife, Mildred Moody; daughters, Karen Moody, Tammie Hartline; mother, Grace Moody of Maryville; sisters, Dot Jackson and Mildred Norton, both of Maryville, Faye Cable of South Carolina, Terri Hipps of Louisville.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Smith Mortuary. Interment will follow at Unitia Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary.

ROSS JR., CHARLES H., 71, Maryville, died Wednesday, May 30, at his home. He was retired from ALCOA.
Survivors: William O. Ross of Woodbridge, Va.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grandview Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the mausoleum. Arrangements by McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.

SMITH, FRANCES (FRAN) MCCOY, 72, Maryville, died May 29, in Florida.
Survivors: husband, D.K. Smith; three children, Sharon, Judy and Darrell Jr.; four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

WILLIAM `DAVID' JONES
William 'David' Jones, age 62 of Rockford, died suddenly Wednesday, August 1, 2001 at the family home. He was founder and owner of David Jones Excavating. He was involved in the excavating business for over 25 years.
He was a member of Central Point Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Lyle Jones and father, Jake Dewey Lee Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Jeannie P. Jones; son, Mark David Jones of Texas; daughter, Heidi Danyelle Jones of Rockford; close friends of the family, Julie Hickey of Rockford, Larry Truitt of Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lindy and Callie Jones of Knoxville, Eldon and Penny Jones of Rockford; sisters, Billie Faye Summers and Shirley Ann Dunlap, both of Knoxville; sister and brother-in-law, Betty Lou and John Smith of Morristown; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral service will be at 8 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2001 in the Dotson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Beecher Whitehead and the Rev. Chris Cupp officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2001 at Central Point Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Dotson Funeral Home, 4838 Wildwood Road, Wildwood, (984-5959)

WARREN BRADLEY BUD ROBINSON
Warren Bradley Bud Robinson, age 54 of Louisville, TN, passed away August 1, 2001, at U.T. Medical Center. Bud was born May 3, 1947. He was a faithful member of Topside Church of God and was a Right of Way Agent for the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation for 33 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, McGhee and Beulah Robinson and his father-in-law, Neil Walker.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Walker Robinson; daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Eric McInturff; son, Brad Robinson; sisters and brothers-in-law; twin sister, Betty and Alvin Hord and Brenda and Harold Lambert; mother-in-law, Margaret Walker.
He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews, Rev. Jeff Lambert, Cheryl Walden, Christi Prater, Brian Hord, Steve Walker and Sherry Walker and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Lambert officiating. The interment will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Louisville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Maryville. Pall Bearers will be fellow employees of the Department of Transportation.
Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in memory of Warren Robinson, JDRF, 4700 Rutledge Pike, Knoxville, TN 37940.

LOIS I. CUNNINGHAM SHARP
Lois I. Cunningham Sharp, age 87 of Maryville died Wednesday, August 1, 2001 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Pecks Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved her children, people, and crocheting.
Preceded in death by: parents, Lon L. Cunningham and Mae Mee Cunningham; husband, Virgil G. Sharp; daughter, Karen Hurst; brother, Allen (Shorty) Cunningham.
Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Shirley Sharp of Atlanta, GA, Duane and Bobbie Sharp of Knoxville, Dewey and Nellie Sharp of Maryville; grandchildren and spouses, Heather and Tom Sowders, Whitney Hurst of Maryville, Beverly and Mike Riley, Brian and Allison Sharp, Brad Sharp all of Atlanta, GA, Greg and Courtney Sharp of Knoxville, Stephanie and Robby Cutshaw, William and Amanda Ellis of Maryville; four great-grandchildren; brother, Curtis Cunningham of Alcoa; sisters, Eula Davis of Maryville and Helen Cunningham of Alcoa.
Special thanks to the staff and friends at Colonial Hills Nursing Home and also special thanks go to Dr. Gordon McCall.
Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2001 at Grandview cemetery with Rev. Bobby Hurst and Rev. L.G. Hutchens officiating. PHUONG THI SHULER
Phuong Thi Shuler, age 48 of Alcoa died Wednesday, August 1, 2001 at her son's home.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Shuler, son and daughter-in-law, William and Marissa Shuler; grandsons, Tavis and Tharrin Shuler all of Alcoa; nephew, Dao Van Vu of Nashville.
Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m Friday at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville with Rev. Clarence Byrd officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Shuler's remains will be returned to Viet Nam for burial. Memorial Funeral Home 983-2050.

PAULA `POLLY ELIZABETH CARVER' SMELCER
Paula 'Polly Elizabeth Carver' Smelcer, age 71 of Maryville passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2001 at the family home.
Preceded in death by parents, Samuel and Elizabeth Covington Reagan; sisters, Lillian Wilburn, Beatrice Keller; brothers, Elmer 'Red' Reagan, June Reagan, James O. 'Dee Dee' Reagan; grandson, Jamey 'Bubba' Fuller.
Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and James Owen of Maryville, Brenda and Lowell Hamby of Maryville, Wilma and Wayne Goodman of Maryville, JoAnn and Ellis Fuller of Maryville; sons and daughter-in-law, Gary and Karen Carver of Maryville, David Carver of Maryville; grandchildren, Angela McGaha, Dena Thompson, Scott Sammons, Shawn Sammons, Brian Chambers, Sherri Gunderson, Chucky Green, Daniel Carver, Crystal Fuller, Amanda Fuller; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Saul of Maryville, Margaret Russell of Maryville, Moline Stalans of Maryville; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will meet at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2001 for cryptside service and entombment, Rev. John F. Davis, Rev. Lee Fuller officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

CLYDE GRAVES

Clyde Graves, age 88 of Maryville died at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, August 1 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was retired from Bendix.
Preceded in death by: wife, Frieda Graves; son-in-law, Roy Polmanteer Sr.; grandson, Roy Polmanteer Jr.
Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Frieda and Gordon Lequire of Maryville; daughter, Bernice Polmanteer of Owensburg, IN; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service and interment will be at 12:00 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2001 at Grandview cemetery with Rev. Herman Helton officiating. Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000.
