BERNICE WRIGHT KENNEDY
Bernice Wright Kennedy, departed this life on June 5, 2006 peacefully in the arms of her beloved grandson Chadwick Carr.
She was born Sept. 21, 1921 to Rev. Preston and Idessa Wright who preceded her in death; she was also preceded in death by husband William L.S. Kennedy and a sister Margaret.
She found Christ at an early age and was very active at Mt. Pleasant A.M.E. Zion Church in all facets of its operation.
She was a graduate of W.J. Hale High School and Knoxville College with advanced studies at UT Knoxville.
She was a member of Eastern Star, Golden Circle, Daughter of Isis and The National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. where she held top positions in each.
She taught for 46 years in the Maryville/Alcoa Public Schools; after retirement she was a substitute teacher at Maynard Elementary Schools in Knoxvlle, TN.
She is survived by two devoted children; son, Luther Wayne Kennedy; and daughter, Christa Kennedy Carr; seven grandchildren, Donita Williams and Yolanda Sullivan, Gallatin, TN; Sonya Kennedy, Lexington, KY; Meagen Frazier, Trenton, Ohio; Johnathan Kennedy, Dayton, Ohio; Whitney D. Carr, Knoxville, TN and Chadwick W.D. Carr of Rockford, TN.; nine great-grandchildren; cousin, Mrs Dorothy W. Dean; nephew, Garfield (Linda) Morris; devoted friends Rev. Elizabeth Toles, Memphis, TN, Mrs. Elizabeth Cotner and family, Mrs. Marie Scudder all of Rockford, TN and Della H. Oliver, Knoxville, TN.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant A.M.E. Zion Church in Rockford with Rev. Richard Gadzekpo, officiating. Entombment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m. prior to the services. Friends may view the body after 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Fraternal services will be held at Foothills Funeral Home Friday at 6:00 p.m.

ELMER `WILLIAM' MCCAULLEY, JR.
Elmer "William" McCaulley, Jr., age 51 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2006, at home. He attended Cokesbury United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by his father, Elmer William McCaulley, Sr.; grandparents, Flo and Ed Schlangen, Leonard and Gertrude McCaulley; aunt and uncle, Mickey and Roy Whitehead.
Survivors include his daughter, Ashley McCaulley of Maryville; mother, Clarice Buchanan of Maryville; stepfather, Cecil Buchanan of Maryville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pam and Tom Sawyer of Maryville, Judy and Jack Gastenveld of Greenback; brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Glenna McCaulley of Blountville, TN; nieces and nephews, Paige Clark, Mark Stewart, Misty Bauman, Johnathan Sawyer, Lori Lewis, Matthew McCaulley.
Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Cades Cove Memorial Cemetery, on Duncan Road, for a graveside service with Rev. Chuck Giles officiating.

DELORAS KATHLEEN GODFREY TEFFETELLER
Deloras Kathleen Godfrey Teffeteller, age 92 of Maryville, died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Maryville.
Deloras was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lawrence Teffeteller; son, James Howard Gibson; parents, Jacob Godfrey and Dora Long; brothers, L. V., Charles, and Gene Godfrey.
Survivors include her brother, Tom Godfrey and wife Edith; sisters-in-law, Vernell Godfrey, and June Godfrey; sons, John R. Teffeteller of Waynesboro, PA, Lyoren V. Teffeteller and wife Wanda of Maryville; grandchildren, Sherri Hafer and husband Clifford of Maytown, PA, Kathy Webb and husband Gary of Duluth, GA, Mike Teffeteller and wife Caryn of Maryville; great-grandchildren, Kelsey Hafer, Tyler and Tracy Webb, George Teffeteller, several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Clark's Grove cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Charles Ballard officiating.

ANDREA L. HINES
Andrea L. Hines, age 57, of Maryville, passed away Friday, June 16, 2006, at University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Maryville, where she was a member of the choir. She was a retired Blount County school teacher with 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Pete and Lura Thames Hines.
Survivors include her brother, Ron Hines, of Richardson, Texas; cousin, Beverly Coleman, of Maryville; several other cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and close friends.
Family and friends will meet 1 p.m. Monday at Grandview cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Brenda Carroll and Rev. Larry Carroll officiating.
Friends may call at their convenience at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.

NELL SHY LEWIS
Nell Shy Lewis, age 77, of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at her home in Maryville after a long illness. She was a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church. An avid hiker and bicyclist, Mrs. Lewis loved the outdoors and life in general. She got the most out of each moment and shared it with as many people as possible. She was a blessing to all who knew her and will leave her many friends and family with lasting memories of the joy she brought to their lives.
Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert C. (Bob) Lewis; daughter, Karen Lewis Pflanze; parents, Newton and Osie Shy; and brother, Newton Bruce Shy.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Mike) Lewis and daughter-in-law, Brenda Lewis; daughter, Laurie Lee Lewis; granddaughters, Melissa Lewis Beeler and husband, Brian Beeler, Jennifer Pflanze Lane and husband, Jason Lane, and Rebekka Pflanze; sister, Eloise Wynn; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Monday, June 19, at 11 a.m. at Grandview cemetery with Dr. Kenneth Gates and Dr. Philip Bembower presiding.

BESSIE ELIZABETH REVELS
Bessie Elizabeth Revels, age 85, was born to the late Ralph and Bertha Hodges on February 24, 1921. She departed this life on June 15, 2006. preceded in death by: husband, Arnett Revels, Sr.; sisters, Katherine Revels Moore, Etolia Hamlett, and Leoria Butler. She is survived by: son, Arnett (Jean) Revels Jr.; daughters, Beverly (Jim) Warren, Imogene (Sam) Woodfin, Janice (Jerry) Upton, Cheryl (Frank) Wilson, and Doris (Fred) Carson; devoted granddaughters, Lawana (Elliott) Purdy and Stephanie Hill; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Milton and Hubert (Mary) Hodges; sister-in-law, Mae Revels of Canada; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2006, 3:00 p.m., Rest Haven Baptist Church, 224 East Watt St., Alcoa, TN, Pastor Richard Turney officiating. Body may be viewed Monday after 10:00 a.m. at the mortuary and Tuesday at the church after 12:00 noon. Family will receive friends 2-3:00 p.m. at the church, and also at 3657 Concord Road, Rockford, 984-2571. Interment, Grand View Cemetery, Maryville, TN. Arrangements by Jarnigan & Son Mortuary.

Andrea L. Hines, age 57, of Maryville, passed away Friday, June 16, 2006, at University of Tennessee Medical Center. FRANK RUSSELL
Frank Russell, age 91, of Oliver Springs, passed away Friday, June 16, 2006, at his home. He was a founding member of the Cove Road Primitive Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Besides his love for his church and his family, he enjoyed farming and gardening. He retired as a union laborer from the Oak Ridge plants. He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. and Mattie (Vann) Russell; sisters, Mamie Pennington, Maudie Gallaher, Daisy Massengill, Sadie Smith and Nervie Russell; brothers, John Henry, Harvey, Billy, Arnold, Horace, Jim and Orvil Russell. He is survived by his wife, Betty McCarter Russell; children, Frankie L. and his wife, Krystle Russell, Sadie K. and husband, Daniel Benbenek, Robert M. and wife, Mandi Russell, all of Oliver Springs; grandchildren, Samual Franklin Russell, Joseph Edward Russell, Kaylen Abree Benbenek, Autumn Brooke Benbenek, Mackensie Kristina Russell, Michal Baily Russell, Jonathan Levi Russell, and Austin Tayler Hart. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2006, at Jackson-Oliver Mortuary in Oliver Springs. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Cove Road at Primitive Baptist Church with elders Ronnie Crisp, Ronnie Inman and Ricky Boring officiating. Interment will follow at the Indian Creek Cemetery.

CHARLES FRANKLIN WILSON
Charles Franklin Wilson, age 85, of Friendsville, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2006, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving on the USS Enterprise. preceded in death by: parents, Harve & Louisa Wilson; first wife, Virginia; son, John; and brothers, John, Fred, Paul, and Jimmy. Survivors include: wife, Evelyn Wilson; daughters, Gloria, of Virginia, and Steina, of Washington; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers, Vernon Wilson and Jesse Wilson, both of Maryville, Wade Wilson, of Alabama; sister, Polly Robinson, of North Carolina; step-children, Jeffrey Endsley and Kimberly Muller; two step-grandsons; several cousins and special friends; and special cousins, Adam and Jean Garner. No services are planned at this time.
