Henry Hubert 'Hank' Perry Jr., age 52 of Greenback, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at Baptist Hospital in Knoxville.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Paul & Melissa Perry of Greenback; grandson, Lane Perry of Greenback; sister, Stacy O'Kelley; nephew, MacKenzie O'Kelley; several cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday at Alcoa First United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Green officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4-5:00 p.m. Saturday at the Church.

FLORENCE ROSS/EDGAR ROSS
Florence Ann (Rasor) Ross, age 81, and Edgar Cecil Ross, age 82, of Maryville, TN, both passed away Sunday, March 19, 2006, at their home. Florence was born and raised near Leland, WA, and was graduated with her B.A. in English from the University of Washington in 1972. She was married
to Edgar Cecil Ross on August 24, 1946. Florence was an avid reader with a passion for traveling. She also had a gift for needle work. Edgar was born and raised in Denver, CO. He served in the prestigious U.S. Army Band during WWII. He received his Ph.D. in Music Education from the University of Iowa in 1961. He served as Professor of Music at Central Michigan University until his retirement in 1981. They relocated to Maryville in 1984 after several years traveling the United States. Florence and Edgar are preceded in death by Florence's brother, Eugene, and by their youngest son, Daniel Ross. They are survived by Edgar's brother, Don Ross and his spouse Carolyn of Colorado; sons, David Ross and his spouse Bettina of El Paso, TX, Stephen Ross and his spouse Beverly of Bloomsbury, NJ, Philip Ross of Fenton, MI, and daughter-in-law, Maria Ross of Carlton, MI; grandchildren Deanna Ross, Angela Ross, Jason Ross and his spouse Dianna, Sasha Ross, Bonnie Forrest and her spouse Eric, Amanda Ross, Scott Ross; and three great-grandchildren. They are also survived by their beloved pet collie dog, Gypsy.
Services will be held on Friday, March 24, 2006, at 11 a.m. at New Providence Presbyterian Church in Maryville, where they were members, with the Rev. Dr. Emily Anderson and the Rev. Dr. Phil Bembower officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association and/or to the Humane Society or other animal protection services.

T.J. TEFFETELLER
T.J. Teffeteller, age 83, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, Tennessee. A native of Maryville, Tennessee, he was a US Army veteran of WWII and a retiree after 43 years of service with the Aluminum Company of America. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Maryville, Tennessee and a member of New Providence Lodge F&AM of Maryville, Tennessee and Scottish Rite and Kerbela Temple of Knoxville, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Ethel Hicks Teffeteller; a brother, Paul Kenneth Teffeteller; and a sister, Imogene Teffeteller Madison. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Birda Ramsey Teffeteller of Maryville; two sons, David Teffeteller and wife, Joanne Waddey of Ellijay, Georgia and Don Teffeteller and wife, Julie of Maryville, Tennessee; a grandson, Aaron Teffeteller of Knoxville, Tennessee; several nieces, nephews, in-laws, and many dear friends Family and friends may call at their convenience after 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 24, 2006 at Smith Mortuary. Minnie Orr Tulloch, age 87 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday morning, March 21, 2006 at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. She was born in Robbinsville, N.C. on September 29, 1918. She was a member of Springview Baptist Church. preceded in death by husband, Jess Tulloch; parents, Sherman and Lillie Phillips Orr; brothers, Olen and Glenn Orr; sisters, Leona Houston and Roberta Helton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Clyde Clark and Ellie Orr.
Survived by her sister, Bobbie Orr Clark; brothers and sister-in-law, Hoyle Orr, Tommy and Mary Ruth Orr all of Maryville, Mack Orr of Garden City, Michigan; brothers-in-law, Carl Helton, Bob and Blanche Houston; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends; the family would like to thank her caregiver Jaynelle Potter, for the love and special care she gave. Evelyn Rose (Frost) Hammontree, age 66 of Seymour, passed away at home Monday March 20, 2006.
She was a long-time member of Valley Grove Baptist Church. What she enjoyed most was yard work and spending time with her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, WW (Bill) and Mamie Frost.

G. James Kite, age 89, of Knoxville, passed away suddenly Saturday, March 18, 2006 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was a member of Inskip United Methodist Church and was a retired accountant of Vulcan Materials following many years of service. Mr. Kite was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Lola Faye Kite; parents, Samuel and Myrtle Haun Kite; and brothers, Jack Kite and Sam Kite. Surviving is his son and daughter-in-law, Don and Ginny Kite of Knoxville; granddaughters, Angie Beard and April Kite both of Knoxville; great-grandsons, Brett Beard and Drew Beard of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Raye Spears of Maryville; brother-in-laws, Bill Murphy and John Murphy both of Maryville; and special nephews, Bob Kite and Jim Kite. JAMES `JIM' FEUSTEL MARTIN JR.
James (Jim) Feustel Martin, Jr., passed away at his home in Lillian, AL, on December 21, 2005, following a brief battle with cancer. Visitation for family and friends was held December 27 at Trahan Family Funeral Home followed by graveside services and interment December 28 in Barrancas National cemetery at the Pensacola Naval Air Station. His oldest son, Pastor James F. Martin III, officiated. In lieu of flowers, some family and friends contributed to various charities.
Jim, a former resident of Sparta TN; Virginia Beach VA; Pearl Harbor HI; Myrtle Beach SC; Pensacola FL; Chula Vista CA; San Diego CA; San Francisco CA; Maryville TN; and Nashville TN, was born in Nashville on October 24, 1934.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine Ann; infant son, Gregory Scott; mother, Mary Elizabeth Martin; nephews, Richard Craig Martin and Rusty Masters; maternal grandparents, Henry and Cora Mae Gomer; paternal grandparents, James Cleveland and Aline Martin; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Surviving Jim are his beloved wife, Martha Ann Steele Martin; father, James (Pete/Poppa) F. Martin, Sr.; brother, Ronald L. Martin, Sr. and sister-in-law, Angie; sister, Jenifer Martin; stepdaughter, Rebecca (Becky) Kincer and son-in-law, Kenny; stepdaughter, Sheri Steele Woods; adopted daughter, Virginia (Ginny) Gardiner and son-in-law, Colin; son, James (Buck) F. Martin III and daughter-in-law, Patty; son, Bret Martin, daughter-in-law, Gaynell, and grandson, Brice; son, Christopher Martin, daughter-in-law, Brooke, and twin grandsons, Matthew and Christopher; grandson, Bud Kincer, his wife Amy, and two great-granddaughters, Jada and Hailey; granddaughter, Sarah Rittenberry, her husband Shane, and two great-grandsons, Justin and Jacob; and step-granddaughter, Heather Woods.
Also surviving Jim are nephews, Ronald L. Martin, Jr., wife, Mona, grandnephew, Coy, and grandniece, Melissa; Chad Martin, wife, Danielle, grandnephews, Chase and Kelton; John Masters, wife, Holly; niece, Diana Martin; grandnephew, Trevor Martin, grandniece, Sara Christian Masters; two paternal aunts, Lillian Kelley and Maxine Stone; and many cousins in the Nashville TN area.
Jim was a Lutheran and charter member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Maryville TN, and a former member of both First Lutheran in Nashville TN and St. Phillips Lutheran in Myrtle Beach SC.
In 1952, Jim enlisted in the Tennessee National Guard. Upon discharge from the Guard in 1954, he joined the United States Navy. His first homeport was California, where he met and married
Katherine in 1957. He saw sea duty aboard the USS Prairie, USS Dixie, USS Chowanoc, USS Independence and served with 'Top Secret Clearance' in the flag offices of CNATRA, COMSERVPAC, CINCPACFLT. One of his proudest accomplishments while serving in the Pacific, was the 'Dixiecats' -- a band he and two shipmates formed in 1956. The band went on to win second place in the Far West Division of the All-Navy Talent Contest held in Yokosuka, Japan.
Following his 1972 retirement from the Navy, Jim moved his family to Sparta TN, where he was employed by and retired from the Tennessee Department of Human Services. After the death of Katherine, he traveled and renewed friendships with many of his former Navy mates. His renewed friendship with a former WAVE, Martha, resulted in their February 2003 marriage.
Jim never met a stranger, was a lot of fun, had a powerful personality, was a loyal friend, and could be counted on when needed. His lasting influence on family and friends is seen in the 'gifts' he left to his family and friends: Martha -- love, laughter, companionship; Becky -- appreciation for music; Ginny -- tolerance and acceptance of others; Buck -- concern for all people; Bret -- wonderful sense of humor; Chris -- beautiful bass voice; Sheri and Heather -- understanding, friendship, help, and love; Poppa -- a little trouble but a lot of pleasure; Ron -- brotherly love; Jenifer -- laughter and a shoulder to lean on; grandchildren and great-grandchildren -- support and enthusiasm; friends -- laughter and loyalty.
