Member of Memorial Baptist Church. preceded in death by husband of 70 years, Lloyd Kerr; parents, J. Mont and Polly Williams; sons-in-law, John Jackson, and Lloyd E. Burchfield. Survivors: sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Sandra Kerr, Mayford and Judy Kerr; daughters, Wanda Jackson and Betty Burchfield, all of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Reba Faye and Keith McDaniel of Friendsville; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen Kerr of Maryville; special friend, Carolyn Trentham of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. MRS. L. FAYE KITE
Mrs. L. Faye Kite, age 79, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2005, at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was a member of Inskip United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of Millers Department Store after many years of service. Mrs. Kite was preceded in death by her parents, Bart and Hazel Potter Murphy; brother, Ralph Murphy; and sister, Ruby LeQuire. Surviving is her husband of 59 years, G. James Kite of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Ginny Kite of Knoxville; granddaughter and spouse, Angie and Robert Beard of Knoxville; granddaughter, April Kite of Knoxville; great-grandchildren, Brett, Garrett and Matt Beard, all of Knoxville; sister, Raye Spears of Maryville; brothers, Bill Murphy and John Murphy both of Maryville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Chapel with Reverend David Lewis and Reverend Bob Pardue officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at Lynnhurst cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. JESSIE LEE BUTLER WALKER
Jessie Lee Butler Walker, 85, of Maryville, passed away Saturday morning August 20, 2005, at Blount Memorial Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Jessie dedicated her life to caring for others, not only in her career as a nurse, but also through her love and devotion to her family. She was a member of Piney Level Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Smith Walker; parents, Charlie and Nora Butler; brothers, Homer, Junior, Shorty and Frank Butler; sisters, Frances Everett and Noreena Beaumont; beloved daughter-in-law, Kim Walker. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Georgia and Danny Harmon, Claudia and Lennie Russell; son, Charlie Walker; grandchildren, Jennifer Harman, Christy Potter, Jessica McCarter, Michael Russell; great-grandchildren, Kane, Nora and Melicah; sisters and brother-in-law, Ruby and Earl Russell, Mildred Sands, all of Maryville; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Nancy Butler of Kansas; stepdaughter and husband, Betsey and Pete Karnes of Arkansas; many nieces and nephews. GARRY LYNN CAYLOR
Mr. Garry Lynn Caylor, 52, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life November 18, 2005, at his residence. Garry was born November 25, 1952, in Blount County, a son of the late George Caylor and Sue Ella Hatcher. He had been employed with Mohawk Industries for over twenty-one years.
Mr. Caylor is survived by his loving wife, Janice Owens Caylor of the residence; son, David; daughter, Victoria Lynne Caylor; stepchildren, daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Phillip Huggins, Michael Huggins, Beth and Junior Lanhan and Derick and Connie Huggins, all of Chatsworth; brother, William 'Bill' Caylor of Chatsworth; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Jack Travis and Catherine and James Cobb, all of Maryville; mother-in-law, Dicey 'Dot' Owens of Chatsworth; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jane Reed of Park Hill, Okla., Edna and Jackie Long and Debra and Ray Long of Dalton, Ga.; uncle, Carl Hatcher of Maryville; eight step-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Monday, November 21, 2005, at 12:00 p.m. from the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Hoyt Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the West Millers Cove Baptist Church cemetery in Blount County, with Derick, Phillip and Michael Huggins, William and James Caylor and Charles Free serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2005.

MARGARET TERESA ANN LAIGNEL `MIKKI' ORR
Margaret Teresa Ann (Laignel) 'Mikki' Orr peacefully went to live with Jesus at 4:15 p.m. on November 12, 2005. She fought a long battle with cancer and won victory on Saturday at her home in Tupelo, Mississippi. Mikki worked as the first administrative assistant of Maryville Christian School (MCS) from 1994-2000 with her husband of 35 years, Steve Orr, who was the first Administrator of MCS.
Mikki is survived by her husband, Steve Orr; two daughters, Christy Thomas and her husband Chris of Little Elm, Texas, and Stephanie Tangen and her husband Danny of Kansas City, Missouri; one son, Todd Orr and his wife Tarri of Independence, Missouri; five sisters; four brothers; ten grandchildren; her mother-in-law and special caregiver, Mary Anna Orr; a sister-in-law, LaVonna Lary and her husband Dan of Maryville; and a brother-in-law, Ken Orr and his wife Barb of Louisville, Kentucky.
Mikki loved her family and her church and was a faithful prayer warrior. Memorial donations are being accepted by Maryville Christian School and by Tupelo Christian Preparatory School (Mississippi).
FRED C. PAYNE JR.
Fred C. Payne Jr., age 84, of Maryville, passed away Friday, November 18, 2005, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Monte Vista Baptist Church, retired from ALCOA, a member of the 25-Year Service Club and a member of New Providence Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Zola R. Payne, and brothers, Yale, Earl and Audley Payne.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Pat and King Jenkins of Loudon; granddaughters, Connie Bailey and husband Rickey of Pa., Lynn Jenkins of Calif.; great-grandchildren, Jake Bailey, Logan Skye Jenkins; sisters, Eunice Toomey of Tellico Plains, Mildred Best of Knoxville, Dorothy Hall of Tellico Plains; several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside and interment service was held on Saturday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bob Dalton officiating.

Betty J. Witt Fortenberry, age 82, of Knoxville, passed away Friday, March 24, 2006, at Asbury Acres Health Care Center in Maryville. She was a member of Oakwood United Methodist Church. After working for Miller's Department Store on Gay Street for many years, she retired from Nancy Lynn Fashions in Powell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Fortenberry; sons, Jack Fortenberry and Gary Fortenberry; brother, Wallace Witt; sisters, Ruth Pratt, Maudell Presnel, Letha Frazier, Dena Ford, Dora Emert and Laura Carter. She is survived by son, Tom Fortenberry and wife, Bunny; daughter-in-law Betty Fortenberry; sister, Anna Elmore and husband, Orville; sister-in-law, Louise Witt. Grandchildren, Eric Fortenberry and wife, Amy, Kristi Smothers and husband Drew, Robin Logan and husband, Dan, Gina Fortenberry and Paul Fortenberry. THOMAS P. BARRY, JR.
Thomas P. Barry, Jr., age 78, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 23, 2006 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He is survived by his wife, Grace E. Barry of Rockford; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Becky Barry of Rockford; daughters and sons-in-law, Dan and Melanie Morgan of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Tim and Eileen Thrower of Carrollton, Georgia; 23 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; twin sister, Elizabeth Feild; sisters, Adelaide Brackman and Myrtle Solomon; and brother and sister-in-law, David and Pat Barry. Thomas Barry was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, moved to Tennessee in 2000 and became an active member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. His family, past and present, and his love for the Lord were always important to him. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, March 31, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Fred Feezell, age 79 of Maryville entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 23, 2006 at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. Retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company after 39 years of service also a veteran of Military Services having served in WWII and Korea also one of the elder members of Madison Avenue Baptist Church. preceded in death by mother, Grace Feezell; father-in-law, Arville Debety; sister-in-law, Betsy Millsaps; brother- in-law, James Glandon.

Joseph T. Hobbs Jr., age 86 of Maryville, passed away Friday, March 24, 2006, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was an active member of New Providence Presbyterian Church, retired from ALCOA after 40 years of service and was a previous member of several professional and civic organizations. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Hobbs, second wife, Beth Edmondson Hobbs and son, Michael Hobbs.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Niece Hobbs of Maryville; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Sherry Hobbs of AL; granddaughter, Julia Hobbs; stepchildren, Ron Hitch, Sharon Robertson, Jan Tatum all of Maryville; step grandson, William Tatum of Maryville.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Emily Anderson and the Rev. Dr. Philip Bembower officiating. The interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
