Alice is survived by a son, John C. Thomas of Ocala, FL; a grandson, James Thomas of Atlanta, GA; a granddaughter, Helen Dykes of Clinton, TN; and a sister, Elizabeth Stafford of Lenoir City, TN. Alice had five great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 8, from 12:00 until 1:30 p.m. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, 220 W. Broadway, Maryville, TN. The service will follow at 1:30 p.m. with the Chaplain Clay Mulford and Rev. Mark Flynn officiating. The interment will follow in Clark's Grove cemetery in Maryville.

KIMBERLY ROBYN WATKINS
Kimberly Robyn Watkins, age 39, of Friendsville, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at UT Medical Center. She was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, and friend who remained full of life until her untimely death. She was preceded in death by her maternal granny and papaw, Hess and Roy Miller of Greenback and paternal grandparents, Flo and Kyle Parrish of Maryville. Survivors include her loving husband of twenty years, Marshall Watkins; mother, Mildred Parrish of Maryville; father, Robert Parrish of Maryville; brother, Steven Parrish of Maryville; sister, Theresa Parrish of Greenback; nephew, Hunter Parrish of Maryville; extended family members; and many special friends. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2005 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Mike Parker officiating. Family and friends will meet at Salem cemetery Saturday, July 9, 2005 for the interment service at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

ECHOLS, CARNELL, Louisville, died Thursday, July 7, 2005, at University of Tennessee Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Foothills Funeral Home.

AKRIDGE JR., JOHN E. 87, died Wednesday, July 6, 2005, at his home in Louisville. Survivors: wife, Ruth; sons, John E. Akridge III, D. Steven Akridge, James W. Akridge. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.

ETTA MAE DOBBS CHAMBERS
Etta Mae Dobbs Chambers, age 96, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2005, at her home. She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church, where she taught children's Sunday School Class and Vacation Bible School for several years. She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and taught school for 34 years. She taught first, second and third grades for 11 years in Scott County, Tennessee, and second grade for 23 years at Eagleton Elementary School in Maryville. She was preceded in death by husband, Roscoe Chambers; daughter-in-law, Peggy R. Chambers; parents, Mack and Sally Dobbs; brothers, Martigay, Noah, Dan and McKinley Dobbs; sisters, Lettie Jeffers, Ollie Hawk and Esther Brown. Survivors are daughter, Vivian R. Chambers of Maryville; son, Vaughn D. Chambers of Kingsport; granddaughter, Gina R. Flack and husband Rusty of Kingsport; great-granddaughter, Haley E. Bishop of Kingsport; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2005, in the Trinity Chapel at Smith Mortuary with Dr. Robert F. Brown officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2005, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Broadway Baptist Church.

MARGARET MELSON GARNER
Margaret Melson Garner, age 80, of Friendsville, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2005, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She retired from ALCOA after 33 years of service and was a member of the ALCOA 25-Year Service Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Garner.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, James and Fern Garner of Clearfield, Utah, and Ricky and Kathrine Garner of Marathon, Fla.; daughter, Benese Garner and Wayne King of Madisonville; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Anis Titlow and Vida Roe, both of Maryville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Amy and Ray Andrews of N.C. and Johnny and Don Johnson of Mich.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel. The entombment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville 982-6812

FREDERICK M. HUFFMAN SR.
Frederick M. Huffman Sr., age 86, of Maryville, passed away during the early afternoon of Saturday, August 27, at Blount Memorial Hospital. During Fred's life he started and owned two successful businesses, Pocomoke City Flower Shop in Pocomoke City, Maryland, and Huffman's Health Foods in Crystal River, Florida. He retired from the Postal Service in Crystal River and moved to Tennessee in 1986. Fred was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church. He was a devoted husband, father, brother and friend.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Joyce Huffman.
He is survived by his son, Fred Huffman Jr.; grandchildren, Kristin Lanzoni and Deanna Kashdan; great-grandchildren, Payton Leigh Kashdan and Simon Lanzoni; nephews, Mickey, Freddie and Michael Wigglesworth.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday August 30, 2005, at Fairview United Methodist Church with Dr. Jerry Russell officiating. McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home in charge.

FRANKIE HARRIET WATSON ADAMS
Frankie Harriet Watson Adams, age 90, of Powell, passed away 6:00 a.m. Thursday, August 25, 2005, at Northhaven Health Care Center. She was a member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. preceded in death by parents, Bruce and Hattie Hensley Watson; husband, Van B. Adams; son-in-law, David E. Bean; infant son and daughter. She was a retired LPN as a Private Duty Nurse; Past President of the Knoxvile Region LPN Nurses Association and the Tennessee State LPN Nurses Association; Past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star Areme #466 of Knoxville. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Carolyn Callahan of Powell; daughter, Norma Bean of Louisville; stepson and wife, James V. and Patricia Adams of Arizona; grandchildren, Jeff and Elaine Callahan, Christian and Cindy Callahan, Suzette and Roger Lacy, Lisa and Joe Hopson; nine great-grandchildren and one step-granddaughter; sister and brother-in-law, Etta and Glen Killian of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service 3:00 p.m. Sunday, Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel, with Dr. James McCluskey and Rev. Kent Williams officiating. Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jeff Callahan, Christian Callahan, Joe Hopson, Roger Lacy, Jerell Killian, Gary Killian. BESSIE TYLER EVERETT
Bessie Tyler Everett, age 84, passed away Friday, August 26, 2005, at Maryville Healthcare Center. preceded in death by: husband, Andy Everett; parents, Sherman and Winnie Tyler; brother, Marion Tyler Jr.; sisters, Josephine Frank and Sue Hicks Russell. Survivors include: brothers, William E. Tyler of Greenville, S.C., John Tyler of Maryville; sisters, Ruby Watkins of Aiken, S.C., Agnes Strickland and Bertha Blair of Maryville; a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 28, 2005, in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. John Davis officiating. GRACE L. GIDEON
Grace L. Gideon, age 89 of Friendsville, passed away Friday, August 26, 2005 at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. She was a member of West Maryville Baptist Church. preceded in death by: husband of 73 years, Charles C. Gideon; son, Don Gideon; granddaughter, Missy Davis; parents, Stoke and Sally Brown. Survivors include: son, Norman Gideon and wife Janie; daughters, Jama Layne and husband Larry, Karen Earls and husband Mike all of Maryville, Doris Keith and husband Cecil of Acworth, GA; daughter-in-law, Shirley Gideon of Louisville; grandchildren, Judy, Steve and Keith Gideon, Todd and Derrick Gideon, Kristi Curtis, Ginger Wallsinger, Wendy Willocks, Jason Earls; several great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2005 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Gene Gann and Rev. Tom McLemore officiating. JAMA GORDON JONES
Jama Gordon Jones, age 85 of Maryville passed away Thursday, August 25, 2006 at Blount Memorial Hospital. preceded in death by: husband, Carlton Jones; granddaughter, Traci Decker. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Harry Zschack; grandson, David Zschack. Numerous nieces and nephews of the Gordon Family. Special friends, Lincoln and Vicki Johnson. Memorial service will be at 6:15 p.m., Saturday, August 27, 2005 at Asbury Place Chapel with Chaplain Robert Hayes and Rev. Walter Barton officiating. Herman Gene Lowery, age 55 of Maryville, formerly of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on August 26, 2005 at U.T. Hospital at around 5 a.m. Survived by parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman R. Lowery; loving wife, Rosie Lowery; children and children he loved, Kevin, Chris, Shelia, Sherrie and her husband Lee, Lisa, Shannon, Donnie, Renee, and Becky; grandchildren, Shane, Timmy, Lane, Conner Lowery and Alex Wicker; brothers and sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Lowery, Mr. and Mrs. Buster and Phyllis Cardwell, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lowery, Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Lowery, and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy and Sandra Eslinger; mother-in-law, Etta Faye Anderson; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Mrs. Doris Hudgens, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard and Linda Birchfield, Mr. and Mrs. William Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis McCormick, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Anderson, Carolyn Anderson, Miss Betty McGill and Miss Kathey Baeza. preceded in death by grandparents; brother, Billy Ray Lowery; and grandson, Caleb Eugene Lowery. SUDIE CAGLE MORROW
Sudie Cagle Morrow, age 95, widow of William Morrow, resident of Asbury Acres, Maryville, formerly of Madisonville, passed away 5:06 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2005 at Asbury Acres. Daughter of the late William and Gussie Ervin Cagle. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors - sisters: Willie Mae White, Maryville, Opal Radford, Hampton, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by sisters - Chester Sanders, Merle Severs; brothers - Carroll, Kenneth and Marshall Cagle.
Graveside service and interment 12 Noon Saturday, Piney Grove Cemetery, Richard Tester officiating. Friends may call 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.

DUSTIN SHANE SEATON
Dustin Shane Seaton, age 19 of Maryville, went home to be with the Lord follwing a tragic accident on August 24, 2005. He was a former student of Heritage High School and a member of Restoration Internatioal Outreach. His radiant smile and loving arms will be missed by all that knew him. Survivors include: parents, Don and Edith Seaton, Mechelle Webb and Tim Hughes; grandmother: Amanda Hughes; siblings: Brandon, Whitney, Kayla, Nathan and Sabrina; aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on August 29, 2005 with the funeral following at Restoration International Outreach, Hwy. 321 West, Maryville with the funeral to follow with Rev. Doug Tipton officiating. Interment will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m., at Chilhowee cemetery at Pleasant Hill Road at 11:00 a.m. East Tennessee Mortuary Svc. 539-2458

DANIEL EUGENE `DANNY' AKINS
Daniel Eugene 'Danny' Akins, age 50, of Louisville passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2005. He will always be remembered as a passionate and devoted soul mate to his wife of 22 years, a devoted and loving father, a selfless provider for his family, and a loyal friend. Danny was a lover of all things God-created, having hiked the entire Appalachian Trail in 1992, and spending nearly every moment of his free time in nature. He was a fervent fan of UT football, avidly studied astronomy and followed the NASA space program, and could often be seen cruising the mountains on his Harley. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Reverend Eugene and Mary Sue Akins. He is survived by his wife Sherrie; his daughter Elizabeth and son-in-law David Trexler; his son Waylon Mink, daughter-in-law Melanie, and grandson Jacob of Atlanta; his brother Doug Akins, sister-in-law Emily, and niece Tracy; his brother Darrell Akins, sister-in-law Debbie, nephew Harrison, and niece Rachel; his mother-in-law Doris and Bob Randolph; his father-in-law Tom Reep; his sister-in-law Kim Niles, brother in-law Neil, nephews, Austin and Jerrod; several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will have a celebration of life to honor Danny at his home on Friday, August 26, 2005. Family and friends are welcome to join in the celebration of Danny's life between 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Friends of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park or the American Cancer Society. MELODY R. DANIEL
Melody R. Daniel, age 33 of Loudon, passed away, Wednesday, August 24, 2005. She was a graduate of Iager High School in 1990 with the honor of Valedictorian. She received her Bachelors Degree in 1995 in English Literature Magna Cum Laude from The University of Tennessee. In 1998 she received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee College of Law with honors. She was a Law Partner in the firm of Johnson and Daniel in Loudon, TN. preceded in death by: father, Ray Daniel; grandfathers, R.E. 'Sonny' Poe and Norman Daniel; great-grandfather, J.F. 'Fielden' Shumate; great-grandparents, Clara and E.H. Poe. Survivors include: mother, Sandra Daniel of Maryville; grandmothers, Olla Wave Poe of Princeton, WV and Haseltine Daniel of Iager, WV; great-grandmother, Ethel Shumate of Princeton, WV. She is also survived by her special friend, Bobby Best; ex-husband, Jeff Musick and many other extended family members and friends. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 27, 2005 at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluefield, WV for the graveside service and interment. Pallbearers in Maryville will be: Robert Best, Tommy Brewster, James Keller, Russell Johnson, John Sanchez, and Bill Russell. Pallbearers at the grave will be: David Daniel, Lee Daniel, Leroy Roberts, Brenton Helmandollar, Dewayne Helmandollar, and Danny Powell.
