Lucy Belle Morris, age 93, of Maryville, formerly of Louisville, Ga., passed away Saturday morning, February 5, 2005, at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. Member of Louisville United Methodist Church, Ga. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Swain and Jean Morris of North Augusta, S.C.; daughter and son-in-law, Lynnette and Bill Tucker of Maryville; granddaughters, Valerie Humphreys, Stephanie Tucker both of Maryville, Julie Brown of Lake City, Florida, Amy Tapely of Statesboro, Ga., Ginger Greenway of Colombia, S.C., Christy Starnes of North Augusta, S.C.; grandson Brad Hodge of Evans, Ga.; 12 great-grandchildren. Graveside service and interment 2:00 p.m. Tuesday February 8, 2005, at Louisville City Cemetery, Louisville, Ga., Rev. Larry Montgomery officiating. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

MARGARET ELIZABETH POOLE CAUGHRON
Margaret Elizabeth Poole Caughron, age 83, of Maryville, passed away Friday, February 4, 2005, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She attended Piney Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Caughron, and children, Elizabeth Ann Carlson, Bobby and Douglas Caughron; parents, Hubert and Mary Poole; sisters, Cora Lee Lane and Virginia Mays. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and David Lemons; grandchildren, Sonya, Debbie Crosno, Jeffrey Carlson, Stacey Cutshaw and her husband, Mark Cutshaw, Jason Lemons and his wife, Vanessa Lemons, Dustin Lemons and his fiancee, Amy Reagan; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Jim, Bethany, Cole, Ashton and Savannah; four great-great-grandchildren. The family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2005, at Grandview Cemetery, Rev. Adrian Jones officiating. RALPH RUSSELL
Ralph Russell, age 82, of Maryville, passed away Friday, February 4, 2005, at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II, having received the purple heart. He retired from Cherokee Aviation. preceded in death by: wife, Laura Belle Russell; parents, Marion and Flora Finchum Russell. Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Tommy Russell of Maryville, Lisa and Steve Blankenship of Maryville; sons and daughters-in-law, Perley Mike Russell of Maryville, Stanley and Linda Russell of Maryville, Doug and Sharon Russell of Maryville, Tim and Janice Russell of Friendsville, Vic and Tammy Russell of Knoxville; grandchildren, Sarah Begley, Casey Russell, William Russell, Elizabeth Russell, Queena Russell, Abby Russell, Katie Russell, Ginger Kerr, Greg Russell, David Blankenship, and Chris Blankenship; great-grandchildren, Jarred Begley, Jordan Begley and Griffin Russell; sister, Anna Belle Edgar of Rockford; special friend, Raven, and all other special friends at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. ANNA LUCILE STEEL
Anna Lucile Steel, age 88, of Maryville, died Friday, February 4, 2005, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Friendsville United Methodist Church and their United Methodist Women's Group. preceded in death by: husband, John D. Steel; daughter, JoAnn Steel; parents, George M. Lewis and Annie P. Lewis; brothers, John Lewis Jr. and Jack Lewis; sisters, Helen Stringwell and Virginia Lewis; grandson, John Trenton Steel. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, John A. and Carolyn Steel of Marietta, Ga., and Don and Jane Steel of Knoxville; daughters and son-in-law, Barbara and Fred Graves of Cumming, Ga., and Mary Jane and Ted Klenske of Friendsville; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Fred W. Lewis of Greenback; sister, Betty Ruth Jenkins and husband Clyde of Valrico, Fla.; dear friend, Howard Hudson. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Alterra Sterling House and doctors and caregivers at Blount Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2005, in the East Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Darrell Rasnake and Rev. Wendell Smith officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, February 6, 2005, at Grandview Mausoleum for the entombment. WILLIAM H. `BILL' WEST
William H. 'Bill' West, age 75, of Maryville, passed away Friday, February 4, 2005, at Morningview Village Transitional Care. He was a Charter Member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, retired from Lockheed Martin, Oak Ridge, after 39 years. He was a longtime Volunteer with the Community Food Connection, which he enjoyed very much. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd W. and Annie Taylor West.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Phyllis Young West; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Cindy West of Knoxville, Steve and Leonora West of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; son, Scott West of Cookeville; ex-daughter-in-law, Rosemary West of Knoxville; grandchildren, Eric West of Cookeville, Amie Phipps of Maryville, Zachary and Jacob Edwards of Knoxville; two great-granddaughters; sister Mary E. Green of Maryville; niece, Ann Joyce of Atlanta; very special brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Johnny and Linda Webb, Sonny and Trula Young; sister-in-law, Vada Mills; special niece, Leisa Whitehead; many longtime and devoted friends; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a Prayer Service in McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Raymond Burnett and Father Alex Waraksa officiating.
Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment service.

JOSEPH BIRDWELL `J.B.' ATCHLEY
Joseph Birdwell 'J.B.' Atchley, age 82 of Maryville, formerly of Sevierville, died Tuesday, February 1, 2005. He was a veteran of World War II having survived a tour of duty in the European theater. He was a decorated infantry soldier in Europe during World War II. After the war he was given accommodations for capturing Nazi War Criminals. He worked at Ryan's Aeronautical that built lunar landers for the Apollo program. He was a talented musician known for his ability to play a guitar and sing. He graduated from Knoxville Business School and worked in the aircraft industry in San Diego, CA for almost 20 years.
He is preceded in death by a large family who all lived in Sevierville for many years; his father, Rev. Joe Atchley; his mother; and many brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his two children, Joyce Taylor-Lane of Alcoa and Joey Atchley; and his wife, Tracy of Maryville. He was 'Papaw' to four grandsons, Dylan Lane and Jordan, Evan, and David Atchley. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was always close to God in life and he surely sits by his side today.
Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Franklin officiating. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.

LISSIE EMMA WILHITE AUSTIN
Lissie Emma Wilhite Austin, age 89, of Seymour, passed away on Wednesday February 2, 2005 at Ft. Sanders Sevier. She was a member of Seymour Community Christian Church. She was a loving mother, and the beloved wife of Henry Austin, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death is daughter, Lissie Clare Austin; brothers: Dr. Richard Wilhite and Virgil Wilhite Jr.; and grandson Adam Michael Hill. She is survived by her loving family, daughters, Myra Lea Hill, Dee Ann LeDoux; brother, Dr. Robert Wilhite; grandchildren: Lissie Lea Miller, Amanda H. Hill, Ashley Hamock, Jayme Wester; 4 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Austin is at Highland South, where the family will receive friends Saturday, February 5, from 2-3:00 p.m., with services following at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. ADA RUSSELL EVERETT
Ada Russell Everett, age 84 of Maryville, passed away Friday, February 4, 2005, at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. She was born in Blount County, Cades Cove and attended Mountain View Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Maynard Everett; daughter, Trula Arnett; grandson, William Ray Pedigo; parents, Cowan and Cora LeQuire Russell; sisters, Alice Garland and Edith Gregory; brothers, Grant Russell and Grayson Russell.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Rex and Joyce Everett of Maryville, Rick and Ferlanda Everett of Knoxville; son-in-law, Walter Arnett of Maryville; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Gail and Ted Rogers of Maryville; grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Joshua and Heather Everett of Maryville, David and Angela Everett of Maryville; great-grandchildren, Callie Jewell Everett and Andrew Rex Everett; sister and brother-in-law, Audine and Ed Harmon; sisters, Katherine Tipton, Hester Wilburn and Gladys Fowler; brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Nancy Russell; brother, Hubert Russell.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Macht officiating. The interment will follow in Piney Level Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mattie Belle Kereszturi, age 83 of Seymour died February 2, 2005. She is preceded in death by her parents: Shade and Melvina Boling. Survivors include her husband of 36 years, John J. Kereszturi of Seymour; children: Jack Kirk of Seymour, and Lisa Kereszturi of Memphis; brother: Shade Boling of Nashville; sister: Flori Crosley of FL; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many friends and relatives. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Sunday, February 6, 2005 at Mountain View Church of God, 209 Ogle Rd. Seymour with Pastor Dennis Donnaly officiating. SHARON V. LATHAM
Sharon V. Latham, age 54, of Walland, died Thursday, February 3, 2005 at Blount Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Gibson; grandchild, Jenna Henry; and parents, Ford and Mary Bowen.
Survivors include her husband, Lewis Latham; son and daughter-in-law, David and Janet Latham of Townsend; daughter, Ginger Gibson and Leroy Henry of Rockford; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Randy Kitts, Janice and Chip Wyatt, all of Maryville; Paula and Steve Wynn of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Allison, Ashley, Mara, Aaron, Alex, and Ryan; brothers, Danny Bowen of Chamblee, GA; Michael Bowen of Atlanta, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Vince Rivas of Carrollton, GA; sister, Lorraine Crumbley of Atlanta, GA.

CARRIE ADELINE GEER LEWIS
Carrie Adeline Geer Lewis, age 66, of Tallassee, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday January 22, 2005.
Her parents, Lowery W. and Mabel J.Geer, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children and grandchildren: Lee and Kristin Lewis of Sevierville, Phillip Lewis of Newport, Spencer and Alexis Lewis of Sevierville, Robert and Angie Lewis, of Flowery Branch, GA, and Brenda Moore of Morristown.
Her longtime companion and closest friend, Lewis Hutchinson of Tallassee also mourns her passing.
Private memorial services will be held.

Carl Dexter 'Pap' Ogle, age 78 of Maryville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 4, 2005 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was of the Baptist faith and was a WWII Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Bertha Ogle; former wife, Judy K. Ogle; brothers, Cecil Ogle, Clinton Ogle, Bill Ogle, Virgil Ogle; sisters, Ruby Law, Roxie Ogle, Dixie Hutsell and Lucille Law; granddaughter, Katherine Kelley. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Ogle; daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and William Swiney, Debbie and Gilbert Kelley, Carlette and Ronald Brown, Marlene and Rob Brown; daughters, Pamela Ogle and Crystal Ogle; sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Judy Ogle, Jerry and Joanne Ogle, Trent and Charlotte Ogle, Rodney and Mary Ogle and Scott and Julie Ogle; 25 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
