Bernice Snoderly, age 83 of Maryville died Monday, January 24, 2005 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Survivors include husband of 64 years, Lager Snoderly; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Sharon Snoderly, Patrick and Sandy Snoderly, Anthony Snoderly all of Maryville; five grandchildren, Julie and husband, Brad Albright, Dustin and wife, Amber Snoderly, Kaitlyn Snoderly, Jackie Williams, Misty Whaley; three great-grandchildren, Baylee Albright, Brittney Snoderly, Destiny Snoderly; several special nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2005 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. John Coates officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at Grandview cemetery for the Interment. Family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 983-1000

DELORES I. COUDEVILLE
Delores I. Coudeville, age 71, of Maryville, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2005, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Avery County Revival Center, Newland, N.C., and attended Brownsville Assembly of God, Pensacola, Fla.
Survivors include: husband, George Coudeville; sons, Maurice Roger Coudeville and Patrice Pierre Coudeville; daughter and son-in-law, Carla Leanna and Larry Cole; grandchildren, Brittany and Christopher.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2005, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Robert Beers officiating. The interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.

VIOLET D. EWING
Violet D. Ewing, age 96, of Maryville, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2005. She was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church since 1994. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo E. Ewing. Survivors include her daughter, Cylene Wood of Helena, Montana; grandson, Jason Wood; two great-grandchildren; brother, Arnold-McCollom of New Mexico; sister and brother-in-law, Nonie and George Mason of Maryville; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

MARTHA DEAN TARWATER
Martha Dean Tarwater, age 86, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2005, at her son's home in Greenfield, Indiana. She was a native of Etowah, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Oliver R. Tarwater Jr.; her parents Oran L. and Nell Dean Matney Reed. She was a member of Fountain City United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College and also Maryville College. She was a retired teacher of Knox County, where she had taught at Brickey-McCloud School. She also served with her husband at many Methodist churches in East Tennessee. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Alice (Tarwater) and Eddie Green of Appalachia, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law, Reed and Jan Tarwater of Greenfield, Indiana; grandchildren, Chris and Mendy Tarwater, Laura Tarwater-Scharp and Ben Scharp, Jacob and Jennifer Green, Alice Ann (Green) and Kevin Smith; brother and sister-in-law, Matney and Mildred Reed, Etowah, Tennessee; her nieces and nephews include Rebecca Reed, Margaret and Mike Hubble, children Adam, Daniel and Tom Reed, children Annie and Jeremy. Funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Monday, Fountain City United Methodist Church, Rev. James E. Whedbee, Rev. Don R. Hanshew and Mr. John Needy officiating. Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2005, at Green Hill cemetery in Etowah, Tennessee, Rev. Rebecca Reed, Rev. Tom Reed and Rev. Mike Hubble officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fountain City United Methodist Church, 212 Hotel Ave., Knoxville, Tennessee, 37918. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2005, at Fountain City United Methodist Church. Arrangements by Gentry-Griffey Chapel.

GLESSIE M. BAKER
Glessie M. Baker, age 85 of Maryville went home to be with the Lord on February 1, 2005.
She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. She was the wife of loving husband, Leslie Adair Baker, Sr. From her family: She will be forever loved and in our hearts. And will be sadly missed by family and friends. Many thanks to The Dialysis Center, ETHRA Van Drivers, Rural Metro, Adventa Hospice and Home Health Care. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Calvin Miracle and Sarah Melissa (Jones) Miracle; six brothers; one sister; and three great-grandchildren.
Survivors include: husband, Leslie Adair Baker, Sr.; children, Herschell E. Baker, Wanda (Baker) Ridings and her husband Lowell, Barbara (Baker) Dunn and her husband Bill, Leslie A. Baker, Jr. and his wife Cindy, Kenneth W. Baker and his wife Sharon; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Cecil Miracle and Ralph Miracle; sisters, Mae Baker, Betty Shelton, and Emma Warren.
Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Danny Jenkins, officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in Grandview cemetery for the interment. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.

JAMES DELANO `JIM' CAUGHRON
James Delano (Jim) Caughron, age 60 of Maryville died of a short illness Tuesday February 1, 2005 at his home. He was born in Los Angeles Calif., and raised in Maryville TN. Jim was a graduate of the University of Tennessee in Agriculture, and a graduate of Georgia Tech University of Atlanta GA in Civil Engineering. He worked for Daniels Construction all over the United States. He was in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of Post 13 of the American Legion of Maryville.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary K. Caughron and Sam J. Caughron of Maryville; all 3 brothers, Jack, Bob, and Bill of Bakersfield CA.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Alysia Caughron of Alcoa, adopted stepson, Michael Johnson of Maryville; special friend, Bill Lowe of Rocky Branch, members of the East Tennessee Traveling Road Show, members of Post 134 of the F.U.B.A.R.
At Jim's request, he was cremated and there will be no services held at this time.

WOODY M. COMPTON
Woody M. Compton, age 75, of Walland, died Wednesday, February 2, 2005, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Keebles Chapel Baptist Church where he was a Deacon for 28 years. He was retired from ALCOA with over 30 years of service and he was a member of the ALCOA 25 Year Service Club. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Rosa Compton; his sister, Willa Mae Looper; and son, Johnny Compton.
Survivors include: his wife, Betty Compton of Walland; daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Edward Hill of Montgomery, AL; son, Ricky Compton and his friend, Prissy Daniels of Walland; son, Danny Compton of Sevierville; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kristin Compton of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Eddie Hill and wife Meredith of Dallas, TX, Andrew Compton of Walland, Dakota Compton of Maryville; sister and brother-in-law, Mabel and Doyle Whitehead of Okeechobee, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Curt Compton of Walland; special brothers-in-law, Harold Bledsoe of Maryville and Earl Blair of Walland; several nieces and nephews and many special friends.
Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Martin, officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Grandview Mausoleum for the entombment service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.

TAMMIE LEA MCNEILLY FINLEY
Tammie Lea McNeilly Finley of Atoka, TN, age 45, died Sunday, January 30. Mrs. Finley was a Sales Asst. for 93X, FM 100 and Talk Radio 790. A past chairperson for the Downs parents of Memphis, a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Survivors: daughters, Maranda Ashley Finley of Atoka, TN., Kimberly Alise Finley of Atoka, TN; son, Christopher John Finley of Brighton, TN; parents, Don and Bessie McNeilly of Memphis, TN; sisters, Donna Jerry of Brighton, TN, Sharon McNeilly of Virginia Beach, VA; brothers, Craig McNeilly of Memphis, TN; grandmother, Bernice McNeilly of Maryville, TN.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2005 at Munford Funeral Home, Munford Chapel. Burial in Helen Grigger cemetery in Munford, TN.

OLA B. HUMPHREY
Ola B. Humphrey, age 92 of Maryville died Wednesday February 2nd 2005 at Blount Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of Unitia Free Holiness Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John M. Humphrey; daughters, Barbara Jean Guider, Mary Weeks, and 3 infants; son-in-law, Floyd Weeks; and brother-in-law, Bud Lewis Wilson; and grandson, Mike Weeks.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Pat Weeks and wife Sandy of Friendsville, Jeanna Simpson of SC., John Guider and wife Sheila of GA., Carl Guider and wife Cheryl of Maryville, and Troy Guider of Maryville; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Katherine Wilson of Knoxville; many friends; and several nieces and nephews; son-in-law and wife, Ralph and Pat Guider.
The funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Guider and Carl Guider officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Big Springs cemetery for the interment service.

WILLIAM ROBERT `BOBBY' OWENS
William Robert 'Bobby' Owens, age 58, of Maryville passed away Wednesday February 2, 2005 at the family home. He was a member of Grey Ridge Baptist Church, and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Vietnam Era. preceded in death by: parents, William L. and Frankie Weeks Owens; several brothers and sisters. Survivors: wife, Tammy Tucker Owens; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Harold Gumm III of Maryville; grandchildren, Jaron Goodson, Shawn McAfee Jr., David McAfee, Kadana Gumm; step-children, Tanya Hudspeth and Dorothy Hudspeth both of North Carolina, Lt. William D. West of Louisville, Melodie Goldstein of Knoxville; step-grandchildren, Brooke Stinnett, Michael Watkins, David Watkins, and Sasha Evans; sisters, Bertie Hundley of Greenback, Thelma Hudson of Maryville, Lucille Ramsey of Sevierville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Thursday February 3, 2005 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Billy Carrigan, and Rev. John Chambers officiating, interment service 2:00 p.m. Friday at Marble Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

EVELYN NAOMI PRESLEY
Evelyn Naomi Presley, age 78 of Maryville passed away Tuesday February 1, 2005 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Monte Vista Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Presley; 9 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Annette Presley; daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Josey Walker, Gail and Pete Rodgers, all of Maryville; grandchildren, Lisa Bonanno and husband Eric, Michelle Walker, Chuck Rodgers and wife Dianna, and Michael Walker; great-grandchildren, Joseph Bonanno, Michael and Maci McCarley.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jerry Mantooth officiating.

HOWARD T. `TOMMY' LONG, SR.
Howard T. (Tommy) Long, Sr., age 80 of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, January 31, 2005 at his home. He attended Old Hickory Valley Church. Retired from Alcoa, Inc. where he was a member of the 25 Year Club. Tommy was a longtime farmer. preceded in death by parents, Frank and Mada Long; and brother, James Long.
Survived by his wife of 60 years, Jennie Bell Long; children, Howard T. Long Jr. and wife, Cathy of Maryville, Sara Jane McClendon and husband, Mitchell of Cleveland, TN; grandchildren, Tommy Long of Lenoir City, David Long and wife, Carrie of Greenville, SC, Becky Clevenger and husband, Mark of Rockford and Drew McClendon of Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Eddie Long, Jeff Long, Allison Long and Josh Clevenger; sister, Lillian Hodge of Tullahoma; several nieces and nephews; special cousin, Scotty Long and wife, Aileen.
