RUTH L. STOOKSBURY
Ruth L. Stooksbury, age 85 of Maryville, passed away Monday, October 11, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Binfield United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph L. Stooksbury; son, Ricous Stooksbury; great-grandchildren, Gracie Ann Russell, and Ricky Browny; parents, George D., Sr. and Minnie Cunningham Carpenter; brothers, G. D., Lester, Ralph, Burley, Roscoe, Clifford and Fred; sisters, Elsia, Iva, French and Louies.
Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Rowena and Charles Ford of Friendsville, Phyllis and Jim England of Maryville; daughter, Janet O'Connor of Louisville; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Janie Stooksbury of Greenback; daughter-in-law, Nellie Stooksbury of GA; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Gertrude Carpenter of Maryville and Louise Carpenter of SC; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Barbara and Sal Anisa of NJ; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lee Hokaj officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Union Grove Methodist Church cemetery for the interment service with Rev. Charles Copeland officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.

Traci Renee Thomas, age 37 of Maryville passed away Monday, October 11, 2004 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was a 1985 graduate of Heritage High School and a former employee of BTR. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clyde and Ruth Williams. Mattie J. Law Abbott, age 88, of Maryville passed away Monday morning, October 11, 2004 at the family home. Charter member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. preceded in death by husband, Rev. Ben Israel Abbott; sons, Benny Lowell Abbott, Jacky Abbott; daughter, Jo Ann Abbott; great-grandson, Michael Shane Harrill; step-daughter, Barbara Jean Harrison; son-in-law, Bill Jones; sisters, Alene Payne, Ruth Russell, Mildred Whitehead; parents, John and Susie Teffeteller Law.

ROBERT LEE HORNER
Robert Lee Horner, age 77, of Townsend went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, October 11, 2004. He was a member of Caylor's Baptist Church, Townsend, and a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Carolyn King Horner; son, Lee King Horner; parents, Ernest F. and Mayme Colboch Horner; brothers, Elmer Horner and E.F., Jr. 'Bootie' Horner; sisters, Fannie Rae Helton and Betty Jo Horner.
He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Trundle, Charlene and Gilbert Webb, Rita and Chris Vananda, Teresa and Barry Johnson, and Connie and Mike 'Thunder' Roberts; sisters, Gertrude Buchanan, Billie and Ed wolfe, Kate King; brother, Tommy Horner; grandchildren, Michelle and Gary Hayes, Stacy Vananda, Yvonne and Richard Carnes, Jason and Lara Vananda, Kerri Webb, Alicia and Josh Custer, Caroline, JT, and Tate Roberts; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be an informal fellowship at Caylor's Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Townsend, Tuesday, October 12, 2004 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. IRA THOMAS `TOMMY' CABLE JR.
Ira Thomas 'Tommy' Cable Jr., age 58, of Greenback. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. preceded in death by father, Ira T. Cable Sr.
Survived by his daughter, Kelly Hudson; sons, Kent Cable Hudson and Cory Cable and Jared Cable; grandchildren, Ella and Becky; mother, Thelma Spangler Keaton; sister, Shirley Brill; uncle, Earl Spangler; nieces, Teresa McLemore, Kathy Evans and Melissa Johnson. RUTH HAMILTON KYKER
Ruth Hamilton Kyker, of Maryville, formerly of Andrews, N.C., passed away Sunday, October 10, 2004, at the family home after lengthy illness. She was a graduate of Western Carolina University and taught in the Graham County and Cherokee County, N.C., school systems, from which she retired. During her long teaching career she received numerous teaching awards, had the high school annual dedicated to her, and had numerous conference and district championship girls basketball teams. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Honor Society. After moving to Maryville, Ruth served as a substitute teacher with the Blount County School system and as a volunteer with the Blount Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was an active member of Williamson Chapel United Methodist Church, serving several terms as Chairperson of the Administrative Board and delegate to the Annual Conference.
She is survived by her husband of over 40 years, James M. Kyker of Maryville; stepdaughter Marilyn K. Cate and husband Tom of Kodak; sister, Lenna H. Ford of Andrews, N.C.; brother and sister-in-law, James L. and June A. Hamilton of Augusta, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Gaye King officiating. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00-2:30 p.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Williamson Chapel UMC, c/o Billie Payne, Treasurer, 1522 Brick Mill Road, Maryville, TN 37801. DORTHEA K. `KAY' KELLEY
Dorthea K. 'Kay' Kelley, age 87, of Walland, passed away at 11:40 p.m., Monday, October 4, 2004, at her home. She was a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Choir and Methodist Women's Association, was a graduate of the University of Wichita, a teacher, mother and shining example.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gemmi W. and Tessie Pearl Kane, and brother, James Elliott Kane.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Hal Kelley; four sons, Patrick Kelley of Six Mile, S.C., Michael Kelley of Middletown, Conn., Daniel Kelley of Knoxville and Steven Kelley of Coarsegold, Calif.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 21, at Maryville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Brenda Carroll and Rev. Larry Carroll officiating. The interment will be in the Tennessee Veterans cemetery in Knoxville.
The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. Thursday at the Church.

CLARABELLE LYKINS
Clarabelle Lykins, age 94, of Maryville passed away, Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by husband, Harvey Lykins; daughters, Phyllis Hall and Nancy Littlefield; son, Darl Lykins; parents, Fonce and Ruth Walden; one sister and four brothers.
Survived by, daughters and son-in-law, Henrietta Driggers of Florida, Eloise Blackburn of Maryville, Clara Roberts of Florida, Mary and Roger Davis of Michigan and Alice Henke of Maryville; 26 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; four great-great-great-grandchildren; sisters Dora Marie Blankenship of Ohio and Christine Valentine of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2004, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Michael Kelly (grandson) officiating. Cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
ELSIE HUFFSTETLER MCCONNELL
Elsie Huffstetler McConnell, age 90, of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and a former Blount County supervisor and teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Newton McConnell; parents, Jim and Della Giffin Huffstetler; brothers, Robert L. and J. Hubert Huffstetler.
Survivors include her son, James W. McConnell of Maryville; nieces, Louise King of Abingdon, Va. and Ann Peterson of Maryville; special devoted friends, George and Patricia Howards; two great-nephews and cousins.
Family and friends will meet at 10:30 Monday at Grandview cemetery for a graveside service with Dr. Jerry Russell officiating.

JOHNNIE JACK MIKLES
Johnnie Jack Mikles, of Seymour, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at Asbury Place. Alcoa retiree and 25-Year Club member. During World War 11 he served as a rifleman in the 36th Infantry Division in the Rhineland and Central Europe. He was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church. One of five children of Fannie and Luther Mikles to survive infanthood, he was predeceased by brother, Martin Mikles of Seymour. He leaves sister, Frances Reagan; and brother, Jim Norton Mikles, both of Seymour; and sister, Lora Hensley of Asbury Place; nephew, Mike Mikles, Seymour; and nieces, Sylvia Mikles Greer, Chattanooga, and Lois Reagan Thomas, Seymour; great-nieces, Jessie Mikles and Sarah Greer Richerson; great-nephew, Cody Mikles and Bill Greer. JUANITA RUSSELL ADERS
Juanita Russell Aders, age 75 of Maryville, passed away Monday, September 13, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Maryville First Baptist Church and had been a Church Organist for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Russell; four brothers; one cousin and one niece.
Survivors include her husband, Chaplain W. D. Aders, LCDR, USNR-Ret.; son, Captain David G. Aders, AAL; 2 grandchildren; sister, Marjory Yancey of Opp, AL; nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on September 20, 2004 at Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens in Opp, AL.
