Marjorie Guy Orick, February 6, 1921 - September 13, 2004
We celebrate the life and home-going of Marjorie Guy Orick, our mother, mamaw, sister, and friend. Marjorie Guy Orick of Crossville, TN met her Savior Monday evening. She was a member of Tansi Community Church and was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Walter Howard Orick; her parents, William "Bill" Mack and Lilly Guy; and her siblings, Paul Guy, Wilma Sender, Thelma Roe, Billy Guy, and Paul Guy.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Pearson and son-in-law, A.J. Pearson; her son, Eugene Orick and daughter-in-law, Rita Orick; grandchildren include, Conley and Sonya Orick, William 'Bill' Orick, and Cindy and Travis Colston; great-grandchildren include, Ryan and Brady Orick, and Olivia Colston; siblings include, Spurgeon Guy, Bobby Guy, Stanley "Buddy" Guy, JoAnn Penland, and Karen Taylor. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allen Raines officiating. The interment service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in Anderson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.

MARY RUTH WILLIAMS
Mary Ruth Williams, age 79 of Townsend, passed away Monday, September 13, 2004 at U.T. Medical Center. She was a member of Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church in Townsend and a member of the Tuckaleechee Quilters and she loved to sing. She is preceded in death by son, Edward Williams; parents, Wylie and Artie King; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include husband of 61 years, Grayson Williams; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lynn and Harold Carter of Johnson City; and several nieces and nephews. At Mrs. Williams's request, she was cremated. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2004 at Bethel cemetery in Townsend for graveside services, Rev. Ken Abbott officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church, 7322 Tuckaleechee Road, Townsend, TN 37882. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

HODGE, EDITH, 85, Knoxville, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at her home. Arrangements will be announced by Smith Mortuary.

FAGG, FLORENE
Florene Fagg, age 84, of Walland, died Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at Colonial Hills Nursing Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Fagg.
Survivors include her son, James F. Fagg of Walland; daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Madison Inman of Walland; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Mary Lou Smith; sisters, Margaret Ratliff and Sally Bradley, all of Cherokee, NC.
Ms. Fagg was cremated according to her wishes, and no services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements by Dotson Funeral Home, Wildwood. (865-984-5959)

MYRTLE IRENE KEASLER
Myrtle Irene Keasler, age 80 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2004 at the family home. She was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church and preceded in death by husband, Harold Keasler; daughters, Donna Faye Keasler and Mildred Teffeteller; parents, Anderson and Pearl Roberts; brothers, Carl and Homer Roberts; and grandson, Robert Keasler Jr. Survivors include children and spouses, Leta and Buddy Bryant, Sandra Marcum, Robert Keasler, Ronald and Angela Keasler and Carolyn and Willard Russell all of Maryville; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and June Roberts and Roy and Betty Roberts all of Maryville; sister-in-law, Louise Roberts of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2004 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Harrison Hill officiating. Interment 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Old Mt. Tabor Cemetery. JOANNE NAMAN
Joanne Naman, 64, of Lincoln, AL, died Tuesday, September 14, 2004, at Citizen's Baptist Medical Center, Talladega, AL. She was a native of Maryville, TN, lived in Lincoln the past 34 years. Member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Pell City, AL. Member of the Quest Club of Lincoln. A volunteer of the Motor Sports Hall of Fame. In 1990 she received the State of Alabama Volunteer Oo the Year Award. In 1998, Senator Gerald Dial presented her with the annual International Motorsports Hall Of Fame Chairman's Award.
Survivors: husband, Don Naman of Lincoln; daughter, Sharon Griffin of Charlotte, NC; 3 sons, Donald V. Naman of Leeds, AL, Kevin P. Naman, Lakeheath, England, serving in the U.S. Air Force, Joseph P. Naman, San Diego, CA, serving with the U.S. Navy; 2 sisters, Sandra Standbridge of Bluffton, Ohio, Susan Teffeteller of Maryville, TN; 1 brother, Bob Hubbard of Maryville, TN; 5 grandchildren, Taylor, Erin, Ross and Ryan Naman and Juslin Griffin.
Funeral service in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Pell City, AL, Saturday, September 18, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln, AL with Father Pat Sullivan. Visitation Friday, September 17, 2004, 5:00-7:00 p.m. followed by Rosary in the Chapel at 7:00 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home.

William L. Braden, age 75, of Maryville, passed away Friday, September 17, 2004, at NHC Ft. Sanders Healthcare. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Rollins Braden, and his parents, Vena and Conley Braden. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, David and Angela Braden; stepsons and wives, Jim and Cathy Jo Huskey and Jerry and Cathy Lynn Huskey; five grandchildren, Kim, Jonathan, Ashley, Shawn and Summer; step-grandchildren, Troy, Nathan and Steven Huskey and Amy Russell; step-great-grandchildren, Kahlee Huskey and Hunter Russell. Kenneth Ray `Redeye' Chaney Sr.
Kenneth Ray 'Redeye' Chaney Sr., age 61, of Maryville, passed away Friday, September 17, 2004, at the family home. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company as a millwright and was a member of the 25-Year Club. He was also a member of the United Steelworkers of America. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Esmond and Rose Lee Chaney; an infant brother; brother-in-law, Ed Johnson; and son-in-law, Joe Whitehead. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny and Tammy Chaney of Maryville and Kevin and Yvette Chaney of Maryville; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Reed Watson of Maryville and Kelli and Brian Payne of Walland; daughter, Kim Whitehead of Maryville; brother, Henry Chaney of Maryville; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Sarah Chaney and Roy and Sharon Chaney, all of Maryville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Charles Wilson, Bobby and Tommy Frye, Diane and Dennis Smith, all of Maryville; sisters, Virginia Morton of Louisville and Elizabeth Johnson of Maryville; grandchildren, Emily, Andy, Kayla, Jordan, Skyler, Reed, Britteni, Joey, Kasey, Candice, Vince, Brigitt, Sara and T.; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Nancy Rogers of Maryville. John Robert `J.R.' or `Pop' Garner
John Robert 'J.R.' or 'Pop' Garner, age 77, of Maryville, passed away Saturday morning, September 18, 2004, at his home, after losing his battle with cancer. He was retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company, a veteran of World War II. preceded in death by parents, Robert and Rebecca Garner; brother, Raymond Garner.
Survived by his wife of 54 years, Bernice Garner; children, Vickie and James Fagg, Jerry and Janice Garner, Glenda and Steve Beasley and Randy and Cindy Garner, all of Maryville; grandchildren and spouses, Allen and Brandy Fagg, Kristi and Mike Combs, Jason Fagg and fiancée Jennifer Hartford, Chelsea Garner, Shelley Fagg, Julie Garner, Ryan Garner and Eli Garner; great-grandchildren, Alisa, Jacob and Isaiah Fagg and Brandon and Kalynn Combs; brother, Tommy Garner of Walland; sisters, Willie McCaulley, Vertie White, Janie Martin, Opal 'Toots' Tipton and Betty 'Boots' Potter, all of Maryville; many nieces and nephews and friends.

Sharon Giles, age 52, of Maryville, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cam and Nerve Hammontree. Survivors include her husband, Richard Giles; and son, Jerry Ray Giles of South Korea with USAF. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Smith Mortuary Chapel. The service will follow at 8:00 p.m. The family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Oakland Methodist Church cemetery in Greenback for the interment. Carolyn I. Gregory, age 71, of Maryville, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2004. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and preceded in death by husband, Luther Gregory; parents, Grover C. and Ethel F. Isbill; brother, Kyle Isbill; sisters, Geraldine Ellis, Wilma Baldwin, Maloy Branch, great-grandson, Michael Nathaniel Ellis; brothers-in-law, Edward Gregory and Cecil Wilson; mother-in-law, Lilly Mae Gregory.

William Lynn McMurray
William Lynn McMurray, age 68, of Maryville, passed away Friday, September 17, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He attended Gospel Temple Baptist Church and was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bart and Hazel Garland McMurray, and granddaughter, Regina Kay Gentry.
Survivors include his wife, Imogene Nichols McMurray of Maryville; sons and daughters-in-law, Virgil and Brenda McMurray and Gary and Deborah McMurray; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and David Gentry and Tammy and Wesley Garland, all of Maryville; grandchildren, Wayne, Melissa, Daniel, Jason, Rebecca, Brittany, Lacey, Ethan and Autumn; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Betty McMurray, Luke and Evelyn McMurray, Don and Ruth McMurray and James and Vicki McMurray, all of Maryville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Fern and Douglas Sutton of Fla., Frances and Richard McClean of N.C., Patsy and Bill Toney of N.C., Gladys and Bert Harbison, and Joyce and Donnie Sutton, all of Maryville; several nieces, nephews and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Hatti Walker; brothers, Douglas Walker and Paul Walker. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Edna Cloeella Walker; son, Randall Walker of Maryville; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Rhonda Walker of Maryville; two grandchildren, Tyler and Savannah; brother, J.B.
