Mildred Nora Caughron Boling, age 84 of Maryville, passed away Friday morning, November 3, 2000 at Asbury Acres Health Care Center. She was of the Baptist faith. preceded in death by husband, Clarence O. Boling; son, Gene Clarence Boling; parents, Bruce Delozier and Addie Frances Caughron; brothers, Cleophus, Homer, Conley and Bruce Jr. Caughron; sisters, Gladys Hicks, Zelma Vaughn, Trula Mae Arwood, Mary Elizabeth Lewis, Blanch and Lucille Caughron.
Tura Mae 'Mom Binkley' Binkley, age 94 of Maryville, died at 4:15 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2000 at Maryville Health Care Center. She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. She served the Lord in the Baptist ministry with her husband for many years in Newport, Middle Tennessee and Maryville areas. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Vollie Hudgens, and infant twin sons; second husband of 52 years, Rev. C.O Binkley; son-in-law, Fred L. Graves Sr.; great-grandson, Donald Lee Graves.
Survivors: daughters, Margaret Graves of Maryville and Eloise Wiley of Newport; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Jaeda Marie (Oescher) Cody, newborn, passed away suddenly, shortly after birth, on Monday, October 30, 2000, at St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was the beloved daughter of Robert (Malik) Lee Cody, Jr. and Carrie Oescher of Rockford. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Jack W. Oescher of St. Petersburg, FL, Samuel and Gladys Marie Cooley originally of Pittsburgh, PA and then St. Petersburg, FL, Haskel and Betty Brabson of Strawberry Plains and Hulon Cody of Knoxville.
Anjanette Comer, age 35, of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2000 at UT Hospital. Member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She was a supervisor at Book Market.
Survivors: mother and stepfather, Jean and Larry Claiborne of Gatlinburg; father and stepmother, Richard and Janet Comer of Maryville; sister, Christine Claiborne; grandmother, Polly Wise.
Osie Lee Belcher age 73 of Maryville passed away Tuesday morning, October 31, 2000 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Member of Edgewood Primitive Baptist Church; retired from Levi Strauss Co. after 25 years of service; preceded in death by parents, Edgar and Bertha Hicks; sister, Vina Adkins; brother, J.D. Hicks.

Robert M. Brown, age 62, of Parrish, Florida, formerly of Maryville, died Friday, October 27, 2000. He was a former member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He served in the United States Navy and was a graduate of Walland High School. He was President of Speedling Incorporated.
Grace Lavern Johnson Bales, age 68 of Maryville died Friday evening Oct. 27, 2000 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her Husband: Isaac (Ike) Bales of Ike's Repair Shop., Parents: Herman and Hazel Curtis Johnson, Sister: Ruth Smith.

Gene Allen Bennett Sr. age 56 of Knoxville, formerly of Louisville, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2000 at Fort Sanders Parkwest Hospital.
Harold Eugene Grant, age 56 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 24, 2000 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was an employee of Mid South Towing Company, Tampa, FL; member of the Maryville Civitan Club; veteran of the U.S. Navy; preceded in death by father, John Thural Grant.

Walter Ealy Daffron Sr., age 83 of Alcoa died at 10:45 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2000 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Member of Prudentia Lodge F&AM #719, Pride Council #103 and 32nd Degree Mason. Retired from ALCOA and a member of their 25-Year Club. Mr. Daffron is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Myrtle Powell Daffron; also parents, Walter Ealy Daffron and Lillie Blair Daffron Moore; two brothers, Earl and Leon Daffron.

Edwin 'Ham' Alexander Hammontree, age 87 of Maryville, died Saturday November 18, 2000 at the family home. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Maryville since 1947. He was a 1990 distinguished member. He served as president and teacher of the Wesley Barnhill Sunday School Class. He served on the Administrative Board, Board of Trustee, Budget Program, and building fund campaigns.
