EDGAR HORACE BRYANT
Edgar Horace Bryant, age 70 of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2004, at his home. He was a Mechanical Engineer with the DOE Facilities for 30 years. He was an avid U.T. sports fan and loved boating, farming, gardening and reading.
Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne D. and Marie Jordan Bryant; sister, Rose Marie Bryant; brother, John Wayne Bryant.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Taylor Bryant of Knoxville; sons and daughters-in-law, Grant and Teresa Bryant of Friendsville, David and Resa Bryant of Loudon and Stephen and Audrey Bryant of Friendsville; stepson, Bryan Allen West of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Nichole, Nicholas, Brayden and Andrew; sister, Carol Bryant Gill of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Marsha Bryant of Louisville; aunts, Velma Shearer and Mary Hicks; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Middlesettlements United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Ogle officiating. The interment will follow in Middlesettlements Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Church.

Robbie Lewis Hodge, age 85, a longtime resident of Maryville, died Tuesday, September 7, 2004, in Griffin, GA. She was born in Stewart County, TN, to the late E. Guy and Eula Lewis.
She was a member of Everett Hills Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Hodge; her parents; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Survivors include, son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Dianne Hodge of Griffin, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Margie and George Henry of Maryville; sister, Rosetta Smith of Clarksville, TN; sister-in-law, Aileen Bach of Talbott, TN; brother-in-law, Carl Hodge of Grainger Co.; grandchildren, Kim Antonio and husband, Dan, of Austell, GA, Joy Hogan and husband, BJ, of Bentonville, AR, Michael Henry of Maryville, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2004, in Mccammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home chapel with Dr. John Franklin officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 11, 2004, at the gravesite in Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the burial with Dr. John Franklin officiating.

EARL RUSSELL ROBERTSON
Earl Russell Robertson, of Charlotte, NC, formerly of Maryville, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2004, in Charlotte. He was born on February 15, 1913 in Mortimer, NC to Frank and Rose Robertson and was a retired Accountant for ALCOA Aluminum. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Sieber Robertson and daughter, Marilyn Lee Robertson.
Survivors include daughter, Margaret Robertson Boner and husband Richard of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Julie Boner and Jason Boner both of Charlotte, NC.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at New Providence Presbyterian Church with Rev. Steve Musick officiating. A private interment service will be held in Grandview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Church following the memorial service.

Lawrence Edward Wilson, age 54 - of Knoxville, went home to be with his Lord Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at Fort Sanders Parkwest Hospital. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Shawn and John Curtis; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Dawn Wilson; 7 grandchildren all of Maryland; sister, Brenda Galyon; 1 niece and 1 nephew all of Knoxville; several aunts, uncles and cousins all of Maryville. Della Lou Blair, age 89, of Athens, Tenn., died Tuesday, September 7, 2004, at Athens Regional Medical Center. A native of Monroe County and former resident of Loudon, she was a daughter of the late James Owen and Susan Taylor Mills and was preceded in death by her husband, Elige E. Blair, Sr. in 1972 and a son, Max Gordon Blair on April 16, 1994. She was a member and missionary of the Jehovah's Witness.
Survivors: 1 daughter & son-in-law, Georgia & Donald McNabb of Riceville; 1 son & daughter-in-law, Elige W. and Marion Blair, Jr. of Knoxville; 1 brother, Laylie Mills of Oviedo, FL; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Lela Frances Burnett, age 100 of Maryville, passed away Monday, September 6, 2004 at Asbury Place. She was a member of Logan's United Methodist Church. She was a principal and teacher at the school in Cades Cove before it became a part of the National Park. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burl Burnett Sr.; parents, John and Lila Clabough; brother, Rex Clabough; sisters, Beulah Gray and Ina Teffeteller. Anna H. Caughron, age 91 of Rockford, left her earthly home surrounded by her loving family on September 7, 2004 at 11:45 p.m. to join her Heavenly Father. Anna's life here on earth included serving her Lord at Riverview Baptist Church, she was baptized at age 22. She worked for Rockford Manufacturing Company and upon retiring she began making cakes and pies at Glico's for twenty years until age eighty-five. Our beloved mother and grandmother will be met in Heaven by her husband, Willie C. Caughron; children, Johnnie Murr, Billie Thompson-Charles, Brenda Ables, Isaac 'Buddy' Caughron. She will be greatly missed by daughter, Sarah Thompson of Chicago, Illinois; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Donald Bryan Hollifield, age 67 of Maryville died Monday, September 6, 2004 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and worked for J.C. Penney Company for 31 years. preceded in death by: parents, Charlie and Ruth Hollifield; grandson, Cody Hollifield. Desmer Bea Huskey, age 82, of Sevierville, died Tuesday, September 7, 2004, at Pigeon Forge Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of Rocky Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Morris Huskey; father, James Ellis Huskey; sister, Ruby Lea Huskey; and brother, Burl Huskey of Sevierville.

Earl Richard Stephens, 62, Newport, died Friday, September 3 at Ft. Sanders Hospital in Knoxville. He was a member of Marbledale Church of God. preceded in death by parents, Cecil and Sophie Stephens; brother, J.C.; brothers-in-law, Pete Lance and Kenny Whitehead. Survived by wife, Mary Stephens; daughter, Sonjia; sister, Maxine Lance; sisters-in-law, Margaret Stevens and Brenda Whitehead; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nellie and Ray Garland; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, George and Barbara Whitehead, Bill and Liz Whitehead; special cousin, Doris Ledbetter; several nieces and nephews. The body was cremated. A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, September 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Marbledale Church of God on Thorngrove Pike in Strawberry Plains with Rev. W. A. Pendergrass and Rev. WILLIAM A. VAN BLARCOM, JR.
William A. Van Blarcom, Jr., age 56, of Chadds Ford, Pa., died at home surrounded by his friends and family on Friday September 3, 2004, following a two-year battle with prostate cancer. Mr. Van Blarcom, called Bo by his family and closest friends, was the President of the Delaware Symphony Orchestra (DSO) of Wilmington, DE at the time of his death. Born in Patterson, N.J., the son of William A. Sr. and the late Jane (Whitman) Van Blarcom, he grew up in Sherborn, MA. He attended Mt. Hermon School in Greenfield, MA, and graduated from Dover-Sherborn High School. While living in Sherborn, he was an active volunteer fireman and an EMT with the rescue squad, and the owner of MacArthur's Market. A graduate of Boston University, he worked with Fidelity Investments in Boston, and later Maryland National Bank, Loyola Federal Credit Union, and Chase Manhattan in Baltimore, followed by MBNA and First USA in Wilmington, DE. At each of these, he served as Senior Vice President. Joining the Delaware Symphony Orchestra as Executive Director, he was later made President. At the DSO he instituted a variety of successful and well-received initiatives and collaborations. Fond of travel, food, cooking, and music of all kinds, he was known to all for his infinite sense of humor, and it was his humor that sustained him, and those around him throughout his illness. He is survived by his wife, Julie Wernick Van Blarcom; his father, William A. Sr., of Sherborn, MA; brothers, Kenneth W. of Sherborn, and Thomas B. Van Blarcom and his partner Manan Kanaratana, of Bangkok, Thailand; his nieces, Katherine and Elizabeth, and nephews, Nicholas and Samuel, all of Sherborn; his aunt, Carola Whitman Taylor of Washington, D.C.; and uncles, James Van Blarcom of MD., and Donald Van Blarcom of Tennessee; his brothers-in-law, Bill Wernick and Dan Gilbert of Baltimore, and his sister-in-law, Linda Wernick Cassell and her husband Charles I. Cassell of Washington, D.C.
