DAVID GOSSETT
David Gossett, age 84, of Maryville, went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 21, 2004. He attended Laurel Banks Baptist Church in Maryville. He was retired at the age of 50 from the Federal Government after 30 years of service. His survivors include: daughter, Renda Sasscer, and son, Donald Gossett; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Grace Gossett. The funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Bailey and the Rev. Roberta Sasscer officiating. The interment will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway.
INEZ `MAW' HILL
Inez 'Maw' Hill, age 80, of Alcoa, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by husband, Quinton K. Hill; sons, Dale Quincey and Marvin Dennis Hill; brothers, Martin and Jess Hubbs; sisters, Ina Tindell and Wy Henderlight. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Jess Randall and Barbara Hill of Alcoa and Vernon E. and Myra Hill of Seymour; daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca Lynn and Rick Whitmore and Jessica Townsend, of Knoxville; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association, 900 E. Hill Ave., Ste. 240, Knoxville TN 37915. Smith Mortuary, Maryville, in charge, 983-1000.
SAMUEL MAX MCCALL
Samuel Max McCall, age 76, of Maryville passed away Saturday, August 21, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. He retired from ALCOA with 40 years of service. preceded in death by his first wife, Helen DeLozier McCall; brothers, Ed and Charles McCall; sisters, Emma Carter, Anna Davis and Marie McCall.
Survivors include: wife, Colleen Whitehead Graves McCall; sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Sherri McCall, Jeff and Laura McCall, all of Maryville; stepson, Mike Graves of Sevierville; grandchildren, Kayla, Clark, Jessi and Joey McCall of Maryville and Emily, Michael and James Graves of Sevierville; sister, Phyllis DeLozier of Maryville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Raymond Burnett and Rev. Willie Newman officiating. The interment will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Clarks Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. JUDY MOON
Judy Moon, 57, of Maryville, died Sunday August 22, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She attended Unity Full Gospel Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Ella Willis Heaton; son, Richard Mack Simerly Jr.; brothers, Claude, Reece and Gerald Heaton; sister, Wanda Burger. She is survived by her husband, Tommy Moon; daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Dennis Morgan; grandchildren, Jamie Simerly and Matthew Morgan; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Brenda Heaton; sister and brother-in-law, Alma and Jimmy Fann. Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. Monday at Unity Full Gospel Church with Rev. Mike McClurg and Rev. John Henry officiating. The family and friends will meet at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at the church to proceed to Grandview cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. JIMMY PATTERSON
Jimmy Patterson, age 53, of Maryville, died Friday, August 20, 2004, after a long illness. Jimmy was one of a kind; he loved life and never met a stranger. He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Brenda. Jimmy's passions were sports and his dog Ally. Jimmy had a long and distinguished career with the state of Tennessee; he was the Office of Personnel's Military Supervisor for Law Enforcement at McGhee Tyson National Guard Base for 33 years. He also retired from the Tennessee Air National Guard as a Master Sergeant with 20 years of honorable service. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lela Patterson. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Darlene Patterson and Ralph E. and Christine Patterson; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Jerry Hurst, all of Maryville; many more devoted family and friends. A special thanks goes to the many doctors and medical staff who have cared for Jimmy over the last 12 years. A graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2004, at Grandview cemetery with Jeff Clendenden officiating. Della Hale Reagan, age 85, of Maryville, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2004, at the family home. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Reagan; brothers, Arthur Hale Jr. Andrew Hale and Carl Hale.
Survivors include: daughter, Fredia Reagan Lemons; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Phyllis Reagan, George and Penny Reagan; granddaughters, Cindy Lemons and Kim Reagan; grandsons, Jeff Reagan and wife Cate, Marcus Reagan and wife Kasi, Chris Reagan and wife LaBecca, all of Maryville; great-grandchildren, Jessie Alligood, Kiera Reagan and Seth Reagan; several nieces and nephews.

WANDA YARBROUGH
Wanda Yarbrough, age 70, of Knoxville, passed away Friday Aug. 20, 2004, at University of Knoxville Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn M. Kiger; brother, Gerald Kiger; and sister, Karen Daniels.
Survivors include: sons, Ed Yarbrough and partner Len Greaney of Barrington, N.H., and David Yarbrough and wife Lara of Knoxville; brothers, Edward Kiger and wife Nell of Maryville and Charles Kiger and wife Sue of Ocala, Fla.; sister, Donna Guyett and husband Jack of Knoxville; brother-in-law, James H. Daniels of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Fay Kiger of Colliers, W.V.; several nieces and nephews.

HAMILTON, JAMES H., 52, Knoxville, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at the family home.
Survivors: wife, Mary Lou Hamilton; sons, Matthew Hamilton and Paul Hamilton; one grandson; three brothers; one sister.
He was cremated. A memorial service was held Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church. Arrangements by Dotson Funeral Home.

Barbara Helen Albright, age 70, of Friendsville, passed away Friday, August 20, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Lou Mote McCulloch; brother, Donald Joe McCulloch; nephew, Timothy Joe McCulloch.
Survivors include: nephews, Steve McCulloch and wife Renee of Tallassee, and Gary McCulloch of Madisonville; great-nieces and great-nephews, Heather and Ashley McCulloch and Kimberly and Josh McCulloch; special friend, Jessie Brewer.
The body was cremated and no services are planned.

Clyde E. Curtis, age 64, of Rockford, died Saturday, August 21, 2004 at the family home.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Curtis; daughter, Lisa Bartlett; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Greg Ryberg, all of Evergreen, AL; stepdaughter, Debra A. Burk of Knoxville; mother, Lucille Curtis of Springfield, VA; grandchildren, Andrea Gayle Burk, Amanda Curtis, Leanna Bartlett, Gregory Ryberg, Angela Curtis, T.J. JANET W. MCCLURE
Janet W. McClure, age 97, of Maryville, died Saturday, August 14, 2004, at Shannondale of Maryville. She was born in Blairsville, Pa. on August 12, 1907, a daughter of the late Rev. Robert E. and Margaret McNaugher McClure. She lived in Blairsville until moving to Maryville in 1977. She was a graduate of Westminster College and Duquesne University in Pennsylvania. Prior to her retirement in 1971, she was employed as a librarian by the Blairsville Joint School District. Previously, she had been the librarian at the Blairsville Public Library. She was a member of the New Providence Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Donald, John and Thomas McClure; two sisters, Margaret Cummings and Catherine McClure, both formerly of Maryville. She is survived by thirteen nieces and nephews and their spouses: Robert and Betty McClure of Brandenburg, Ky., John and Betty McClure of Latrobe, Pa., Helen and Earl Long of Davidsville, Pa., Margaret (Peggy) and David Campbell of Maryville, Janet and James Martin of Norwich, N.Y., James and Marilyn Cummings of Lakeland, Fla., Margaret and Charles Partee of Cranberry Township, Pa., David and Beverly McClure of Zionsville, Pa., Lyda and Andrew Byers of Newton, N.J., Corey and William Gettig of Cape Coral, Fla., Kathleen and Randall Hill of Parker, Colo., Thomas and Donna McClure of Latrobe, Pa., and William and Jeanne McClure of Kingsport. She is also survived by many grand-nephews and -nieces and many caring friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 23, 2004, at New Providence Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Pruden Baptist Church and a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving for six years.
