HARRY H. HARTER
Dr. Harry H. Harter, age 87, of Maryville. A memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 15, 2004, at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, with Rev. Martha Sterne officiating. A private interment will be held at Maryville College Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Willard House on Maryville College campus following the memorial service at St. Andrews. PAUL W. HENRY
Mr. Henry was born in Knoxville on September 5, 1909. He spent his childhood in Elkmont, now part of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and in Townsend, where he enjoyed rainbow trout fishing and harvesting wild chestnuts. He attended the University of Tennessee, playing trombone in the university band. While employed by the Aluminum Company of America in Alcoa, he met and married
Mildred Lowe from LaFayette, Alabama. During World War II, he served in the Adjutant General's Section Headquarters 313th Bomb Wing of the 20th Air Force stationed on the island of Tinian in the Northern Pacific. From 1948-1954 he served as treasurer of Maryville College.
In 1954, Mr. Henry was appointed assistant business manager for Alabama Polytechnic Institute, now Auburn University. He later became the university's Director of Auxiliary Enterprises, overseeing development of housing, bookstore and food services. Upon his retirement in 1976, he joined his wife's real estate firm, Henry Agency, until her death in 1993.
Mr. Henry was active for many years in the First Presbyterian Church of Auburn, participating as an usher and choir member. He particularly enjoyed singing 'The Messiah.' He was a member of the Kiwanis Club for 56 years, still attending meetings frequently. He helped found the Auburn University Federal Credit Union, an accomplishment which brought him great pride. He served as an officer in Auburn University's Faculty Club.
Mr. Henry is survived by two daughters: Nancy Lowe Henry (New York, N.Y.) and Linda Henry Dean (William Dean); two grandchildren, William Roberts Dean and Gabrielle Dean, both of Atlanta; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home in Opelika, Ala., on Saturday, August 14, 2004, at 2 p.m., with visitation prior to the funeral from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Family and friends will meet 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 15, at Carpenter's Campground Methodist Church Cemetery, Maryville, for the interment service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the First Presbyterian Church of Auburn, 143 East Thach, Auburn, AL 36830.

OVA LEE FOX
Ova Lee Fox, age 94 of Maryville, went to be with the Lord Sunday, August 15, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She attended Fairpark Weslynan Church and loved God. preceded in death by husband, Edgar D. Fox; sons, David and Pat Fox; son-in-law, John Kiser; brothers, Melvin and Arnold; sisters, Pauline, Eula Mae, Mary and Jessie.
Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, James D. and Margaret Fox of Greenback, Kenneth and Barbara Fox of Friendsville. daughters, Barbara Kiser and Hazel Ann Fox of Maryville; daughter-in-law, Emily Fox of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Doug and Wendy Fox, Andy Fox, Judy and Tracy Smith, Patricia and Richard Alston, Tony Fox, Steve and Lisa Fox, Karen and Mike Campbell, Greg and Jennifer Fox, Derek Fox; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Al Robbins of Pleasant Prairie, WI.

GUY MAYBERRY
Guy Simmons Mayberry, of Chattanooga died Monday, August 16, 2004, in a Maryville, TN nursing home. He was a member of First Centenary United Methodist Church and a veteran of World War II. Mr. Mayberry was retired from Hamilton County Schools as a Principal and was a noted storyteller. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Springer Mayberry and his second wife, Helen Lord Mayberry. Survivors include one daughter, Jan ward and husband, Loys of Titusville, FL; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. R.H. Neighbors, Huntsville, AL; and sister-in-law, Bernice Mayberry, Cookeville, TN. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at U.S. National cemetery with Dr. David Harr officiating. EDWARD TATE PIERCE, III
Edward Tate Pierce, III, age 47, of Alcoa, passed away Saturday evening August 14, 2004. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sada Rudder Pierce. Survived by: his life partner, Rebecca McCollum Gibson of Alcoa; son, Edward Scott Pierce of Cookeville, TN; father, E. Tate Pierce of Knoxville; sisters and brother-in-law, Susan P. and Dr. Harold Fredericks of Brentwood, TN, Ann R. Pierce of Knoxville; niece and nephews, John, Katie and Benjamin Fredericks of Brentwood, TN; many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Austin Blake Helton, infant son of Kara Helton of Rockford. WALTER DONALD HOYLE
Walter Donald Hoyle, 78, of Clinton passed away Saturday, August 14, 2004, at Windwood Health & Rehabilitation Center in Clinton.
Preceding Walter in death was his wife, Bobbie J. Huff Hoyle; brothers, John Edwin and Hollis Reynolds.
Leaving behind to mourn his loss is his daughter, Trina Clinton and husband Rodney of Christiana, Tenn.; grandchildren, Brittany and Brian Clinton of Christiana; brother, Thomas Frank Reynolds and wife Anita of Nashville; sisters, Joan Lohr and Burnette Adkins, both of Maryville. Besides the immediate family, several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends are left behind to mourn Walter.
A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2004, at Shiloh cemetery with Rev. Ben Whitted officiating.

DORIS LEE MYERS
Doris Lee Myers, age 79, of Maryville, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She retired from Levi Strauss with 27 years of service and was a greeter at Wal-Mart for eleven years. She was well known as the Dolly Parton of Wal-Mart. preceded in death by: husband, Leroy Myers of 32 years; parents, Clarence Goddard Teffeteller and Mary Roxie Mollie Teffeteller; brothers, Ray and Jack Teffeteller; sister, Faye Spence. Survivors include: daughter, Carolyn S. Myers of Nashville; sisters, June Graves and Anna Ruth Sterling both of Maryville; nieces and nephews, Ruby Hill, Debbie Rasbury, Clarence "Choo" Sterling, and Ginger Miya; several great-nieces and great-nephews. The funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m., August 16, 2004, at Smith Mortuary with the Rev. Ronald Longmire and Rev. Greg Kelly officiating. The interment will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 17, 2004, at Grandview Cemetery. REV. ELMER SHARP
Rev. Elmer Sharp, age 78, of Knoxville, entered Heaven on August 13, following a very brief illness with colon cancer. He was a member of Holston Baptist Church and devoted his life to serving the Lord as Pastor and Interim Pastor of several churches throughout Knox, Blount, Anderson, Sevier, and Jefferson counties. He served the Lord faithfully for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his son, Stanley; his mother and father, Rosey and Miller Sharp; sister, Vonnette Bright and brother, C.P. Sharp.
His family includes his wife of 56 years, Lois Fair Sharp; daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Ralph Long of Maryville, Elmeria and Kenne Teffeteller of Alcoa; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jill Sharp of Maryville; grandchildren, Kendra Teffeteller and Morgan and Stan Sharp; brother, Troy Sharp and his wife Marsha.
The family will receive friends 5:00-8:30 p.m. Sunday, August 15, 2004, at Holston Baptist Church, 1012 Andrew Johnson Highway. Paul N. 'Pee-Wee' Caylor, age 89 of Maryville died Wednesday, August 18, 2004 peacefully at home with family by his side. Edna Burchfield Dodd, age 87 of Maryville died Tuesday August 17, 2004 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Johnnie Everett Burchfield; brothers: Arthur, Hugh, Jess, and J.D. Burchfield; sisters: Helen Cruden, and Aileen Compton; and one great-grandchild. She is survived by her daughter: Bertha McKee of Maryville; sons and daughters-in-law: Allen and Carol Dodd, and Billy and Henrietta Dodd all of Madisonville, Danny and Debbie Dodd of Georgia; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother: Ernest Burchfield.
