JEREMY ANDREW BISHOP
Jeremy Andrew Bishop, age 32, died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on June 11, 2004, near Rose Hill, Virginia. Also killed in the accident was his beloved wife, Jamie Leonard Bishop.
Drew was a graduate of Lee High School, Jonesville, Va., and a graduate of the University of Virginia at Wise. He was an excellent athlete and attended college on a baseball scholarship. He spent most of his adult life working in corrections. He worked several years as a Probation and Parole Officer for the state of Virginia, and later was a Legal Instruments Examiner for the federal prison located in Lee County, Va.
Drew was a member of the Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. He was a gentle, easy-going person who will be missed by all who knew him.
Drew Bishop was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Jerry Bishop, formerly of Jonesville, Va., and his dearly loved grandparents, Rev. W.L. and Lucille Odum of Cleveland, Va., and his paternal grandparents, Mack and Kate Bishop of Church Hill, Tenn.
Drew is survived by: mother, Linda Odum Bishop, Maryville; brothers, Stan Bishop and Dr. Britt Bishop and wife Madeline, and dear nephews Bob, Lucas and Mathias Bishop, all of Maryville. He is also survived by his lifelong friend, Diane Graham, of Abingdon, Va., and special cousins, Matt Odum and Ryan Odum.
Calling hours will be from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at the Binghamtown Baptist Church in Middlesboro, Ky. Funeral services will be at 7:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary with Rev. Boyd Bingham, Rev. Jim Whitaker and Dr. John Williamson officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2004, in Greenhill Memorial Garden, Middlesboro, Ky.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Celebrate Recovery, Cokesbury United Methodist Church, 9908 Kingston Pk., Knoxville, TN 39722.

JOHN EDWARD `ED' FANN
John Edward "Ed" Fann, age 79, of Maryville, died Friday, June 11, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital.
He was retired from ALCOA and a member of the 25-year service club. He was a decorated veteran of WWII, having received the Bronze Star at Omaha Beach and the Purple Heart during the Battle of The Bulge.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Ruth Webb Fann; daughter, Joyce Brown; granddaughter, Jennifer Lowe Bean; parents, Fate and Nancy Russell Fann; son-in-law, David Lowe; brothers, Wilbert, Robert, Eugene and Thomas Fate; and sisters, Geraldine and Margaret.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Ray Huskey and Sharon and Terry Adams; daughters, Jean Lowe and Johnnie Long; sons and daughters-in-law, Fate and Carol Fann, Jerry and Gail Fann and Terry and Mona Fann; son, Michael Fann; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Taylor, Imogene Sparks and Emma Lee Fann; and brothers, Billy Fann, Joe Fann, James Fann, and Charles Fann.
The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Wayne Baker officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a military graveside service.
WILLIAM R. (SHORTY) GUINN
William R. (Shorty) Guinn, age 78, of Maryville died Saturday, June 12, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his parents, W.R. Guinn Sr. and Willie Ray Guinn; brother, Vance Guinn; and sister, Juanita Harveston.
Survivors include: wife, Gypsy Triplett Guinn; son, Jerry Guinn; daughter, Sandy Bowers; son-in-law, Larry Bowers; grandsons William Kindrick Bowers and Caleb Lee Bowers, all of Maryville.
The funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. W.A. Gaylon officiating. NANNIE B. HEADRICK
Nannie B. Headrick, age 82, of Maryville, was called home to be forever with her Savior on Friday, June 11, 2004, at the family home with family and friends present. She was a longtime member of Six Mile Baptist Church and loved her church family. preceded in death by husband, Arthur Raymond Headrick; son, Arthur Morton Headrick; father, Wade Lane; mother, Elizabeth Hood Kidd Lane; sisters, Mary Juanita Birchfield, Iva Ruth Perot; brothers, Floyd Snyder Lane, Leon Lane, Edwin Lane, Howard Lane; and grandson, Stephen Escher.

IRENE HICKS
Irene Hicks, age 75, of Alcoa, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Irene was a member of First United Methodist Church of Alcoa. Before retiring, she owned and operated Broadway Beauty Salon in Maryville for forty years. She was a long-standing member of the American Legion Auxiliary, local post #13 where she had held offices of President, Secretary and Treasurer as well as being past Southern Division President, Vice-President, Department President and Parliamentarian, She was also active as the secretary for the Disabled American Veterans and Participated in Girl's State for the past four years. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Blanco Manning; and sisters, Frances Connatser and Ruth Loveday. Irene was survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Tracy Atchley of Maryville; daughter, Joyce Taylor Lane of Alcoa; grandchildren, Dylan, Jordan, Evan, and David; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and William Johnson of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Joe Greene officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16, at Shiloh cemetery in Pigeon Forge for the interment. RODNEY DEAN KING
Rodney Dean King, age 68, of Maryville, died Sunday June 13, 2004, at his home. He was owner of Crown Automotive on Hall Road. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. And Mrs. Marvin E. King Sr.; brother, Donald Lane King; and sisters, Carolyn Turner and Frances Cofer.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Virginia (Ginger) Cottrell King; sons, Jerry C. King and wife Lisa, Rodney Dean King II; grandson, Joshua Caine King; brothers and wives, Gene and Mary Anna, Harold and Susan, Raymond (Buster) and Sandy; sister-in-law, Dot King; and several nieces and nephews .
The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Tim Kimsey officiating. The body was cremated at his request.

KENNETH MICHAEL WHITE
Kenneth Michael White, age 53 of Tallassee, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2004, at the family home after losing a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by father, Hoyt A. White; infant brother; and nephew, Michael C. White. Kenneth was born on July 22, 1950, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was retired from Alcoa due to health problems. He was a member of the Chilhowee Primitive Baptist Church 'Red Top, ' where he attended when health permitted. He is survived by son, Chris A. White of Maryville; daughter, Heather M. White of Greenback; mother, Bertha White of Tallassee; sister and brother-in-law, Betty Jo and Vern Boring of Ooltewah; sisters, Bobbie R. Adams and Lorene Cooper both of Maryville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy J. and Marilyn White of Maryville, Birch L. and Edith White of Tallassee; brother, David P. Ed W. Abbott, age 94, of Townsend, passed away on June 12, 2004, on the same farm where he was born on December 26, 1909. Ed retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company with over 30 years of service. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a member of New Providence Lodge No. 128 F&AM. Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Bessie Brackin Abbott; parents, Levi Perry and Manerva Headrick Abbott; twin brother, Joe Abbott; brothers, Carl and Perry Abbott; sisters, Lou Ella Farmer and Nina Abbott. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Jerry Burnett and Kathy and Tim Napier; sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Ola Abbott and Tony and Lisa Abbott; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Gene Brackin; sister-in-law, Jennie B.
