JOHN CLEVELAND BRAKEBILL
John Cleveland Brakebill, age 84 of Maryville passed away Tuesday morning, January 2, 2001 at Blount Memorial Hospital.
Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Carl S. Wilt of Nashville; grandchildren, Kathy Tucciarone of Sevierville, Darene Rowland of Cartersville, Ga., Sherry Rainey of Nashville, Carl Wilt Jr. of Franklin, TN, Brenda Knight of Deland, Fla., Bobby Boalick, Billy Boalick, Michael Boalick all of Crossville; 9 great- grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Sarah, Gertrude, Geneva; several nieces and nephews.
The body was cremated and no services are planned at this time. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
TERESA GEORGE DOCKTER
Teresa George Dockter, age 40 of Alcoa died Wednesday, January 3, 2001 at The University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was a member of Alcoa First United Methodist Church. She was co-owner of Dockter Incorporated and T&T Signs, Inc. She was a devoted Christian, mother and wife.
Preceded in death by: grandparents, Bennett and Minnie LaRue and Pete and Mabel George; aunt and uncle, Hubert and Helen George.
Survivors include: husband, Bill Dockter; son, Albert Warren Dockter; daughters, Kelli Nicole Dockter, Natalie Diane Dockter, Madelyn Leigh Dockter; infant son, Benjamin William Dockter all of Alcoa; parents, Robert and Barbara George of Knoxville; brother, Shannon George of Knoxville; special sister-in-law and friend, Alisha George of Knoxville; nephew, Tyler George; father-in-law, Albert W. Dockter, Jr.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Elaine and Jesse Standridge, Diane and Larry West; special aunt and uncle, Eldridge and Ann Calhoun of Knoxville; special friends, Andrea Jewell, Jane Monday, Nana Nell Beason; numerous other special friends and relatives.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2001 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Joe Green and Rev. Ken Green officiating. Interment will follow services at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Alcoa First United Methodist Church, Children's Ministry, 617 Gilbert Street, Alcoa, TN 37701 or Ronald McDonald House, 1705 Clinch Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37916. LINDA SUE LAMBERT HARLESS
Linda Sue Lambert Harless, age 61 of Alcoa, died Monday, January 1, 2001, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Alcoa First United Methodist Church and was a retired school teacher with the Blount County School System. She was preceded in death by her son, Roger Harless; father, Homer Lambert and brother, Wallace Lambert.
Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Dean Wicks of Maryville, Kay and David Loy of Memphis, Liz and Greg Johnson of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Homer Lambert of Maryville; sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn and Jon Brown of Ohio; sisters, Freida Jane West of Maryville, Carolyn Lambert of Atlanta; brother, Harold Lambert of Mississippi; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Alcoa First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Green officiating. A private burial service will be held at Grandview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Alcoa First United Methodist Church Organ Fund, 617 Gilbert, Alcoa, TN 37701.

LUCY KATHERINE MONTGOMERY SLAWSON
Lucy Katherine Montgomery Slawson, age 86, died November 7, 1999, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born October 23, 1914, in Maryville to Samuel Elbert and Kathleen Bittle Montgomery. A graduate of Maryville College she was the widow of Lt. Col. Merritt O. Slawson, Chaplain Corps U.S. Air Force.
She is survived by her son, Jack Montgomery Slawson and wife Shirley of Houston, Texas, and her daughter, Christine Bittle Slawson Smith of San Antonio; three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Her service and burial took place in San Antonio. McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from the City of Alcoa.

COOK, MODEAN HITSON, 88, Friendsville, died Friday, Jan. 5, at Fort Sanders Park West Hospital.

GRAY, RUTH HENRY, 85, a native of Maryville, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, at El Camino Hospital in Sunnyvale, Calif., after a brief illness.
Survivors: daughters, Glenda Hughes, Palo Alto, Calif., Martha Yund, Arlington, Va.; five grandchildren.
