He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was the son of the late Billy & Cynthia Williamson. preceded in death by: Wife, Dorothy Frazier Williamson; Son, Jack Williamson. Survivors include: Son and Daughter-in-law, Joe & Nola Williamson of Maryville; Sons, Robert Williamson and Ralph Williamson both of Maryville; Ten Grandchildren; 20 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Grandchild; Brother, Burt Williamson of Gastonia, NC; Sister, Margaret Woody of Newport, TN. Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Saturday, March 20, 2004 in the chapel at Smith Mortuary with Rev. Greg Kelly, Rev. George Gilbert and Steve Williamson officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 21, 2004 at Clark's Grove Cemetery. Arthur M. Coppinger, age 94, of Maryville passed away Thursday evening, March 18, 2004 at Asbury Place of Maryville. Member of St. John's Methodist Church, employed with ALCOA for twenty five years, and retired from NASA Space Center in Florida after seventeen years. preceded in death by wife of sixty-nine years, Elizabeth Coppinger; parents, Eckles Coppinger and Della Anderson; sisters, Ann Meyers, Johnnie Ingram, Georgia McKee, Cleo Moser, and Jeanette Holloway. He is SURVIVED by his son, Lynn Coppinger of Florida; daughter, Judy Walker of Florida; grandchildren, Patricia Cabage, Dennis Wilson, David Coppinger, Cindy Gardner, Lisa Kimball, Tammy Sparks, Lindy Coppinger, and Robert Coppinger; twenty one great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; half-brother, Gordon Anderson of Madisonville; former daughter-in-law, Jessie Jones of Maryville; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends and neighbors. Funeral service 8:00 PM Saturday, March 20, 2004 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Lawrence Adams officiating. Family and friends will meet at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at 2:00 PM Sunday for the entombment service. EUNICE LEE CRISP
Eunice Lee Crisp, age 82, of Maryville passed away Thursday, March 18, 2004 at Blount Memorial Hospital. preceded in death by husband, J.D. Crisp; daughters, Jacqueline Quillen and Betty Crye; parents, Jess and Ora Mae Kirkland; Brothers, Clarence Kirkland, Herbert Kirkland; and sister, Edith Harmon. She is SURVIVED by her daughters and son in law, Brenda and Tony Reagan of Maryville and Wanda Loveless of Chattanooga; son, John Herbert Crisp of Atlanta, GA; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Geraldine Bullers of Friendsville and Christine Jones of Maryville; and beloved pets Heidi and Tweety. Family and friends will meet at Williamson Chapel cemetery at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 21, 2004 for graveside service and interment, Rev. Alvin Patton officiating. LAWRENCE MELTON HUMPHREY
Lawrence Melton Humphrey, age 68 of Friendsville, died Thursday, March 18, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was retired from the Blount County Courthouse after 40 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Sue Humphrey; father and mother, Brownlow and Myrtle Humphrey and brother, Floyd Humphrey.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Anna Sue and Stephen Greene of Friendsville; grandchildren, Jeff and Candy Russell, Steve Lowery and Samantha Handley, DJ Lowery and Andy and Candace Greene of Maryville; brothers, Robert Leon, Arthur (Mick), Joe and Fred Humphrey; sisters, Mary Ellen Newman, and Helen Taylor; special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bernice and Glenn Tyler and Carson and Wanda Galyon; several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Shady Grove cemetery for a graveside service with Dale Jenkins officiating.

Helen LaBounty, age 86 of Townsend died Thursday, March 18, 2004 at her home. She was a former school teacher and advocate of the Mary Tippitt Memorial Library of Townsend and the Townsend children's reading program. She was a devoted, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Survivors include: Husband of 64 years, Ray LaBounty; Children, Geri McCallig and the late Mike McCallig of Sudbury, MA, Jean and Ernest Stevens of Springfield, VA, Nancy & Terry Beckmann of Townsend, TN; Grandchildren, Eric & Shelly McCallig of Burlington, VT, Cathy Stevens of San Diego, CA, Mike Stevens of Cambridge, MA, Michelle Beckmann of Townsend, TN, Andy Beckmann of Townsend, TN, Laurie and Steve Harford of Superior, CO; Great-Grandchildren, Michael and Lauren McCallig and Alison & Jamie Harford. MERLIN W. MCDONALD
Merlin W. McDonald, 92 of New Market, formerly of Lake Wales Florida, passed away Thursday March 18, 2004 at Life Care of Jefferson City. He was a member of New Market Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by two grandsons.
Survived by wife, Marian McDonald; daughters and son-in-law, Judy and Gene Rodgers all of New Market, Gail Tyler of Ill., Marjorie McDonald of Germany; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Diane McDonald of Maryville; six grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Hausmann and Marian McLean of Michigan.
Memorial service 2 pm Saturday Fielden Chapel with Rev. J.W. Taylor officiating. Entombment will be in Jefferson Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm at Fielden Funeral Home, New Market.

GLENDA GERALDINE `JERRY' TALLENT
Glenda Geraldine (Jerry) Tallent -- age 71 of the Glendale Community in Lenior City, passed away Friday, March 19, 2004, at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Geraldine retired from Yale Security after 29 years service. preceded in death by daughter, Connie Bass; parents, Tilmon and Mallie Moddox. Survived by her husband of 52 years, Ross Tallent; daughter, Donna Richesin and husband, Gary of Sweetwater; son-in-law, Larry Bass of Greenback; 4 beloved granddaughters, Abby, Scarlet and Haley Bass, Hollie Ledford all of Greenback; sisters, Audrey Edwards of Lenior City and Shirley McNeeley of Greenback; several nieces, nephews and a very special friend, Linda Clark. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Sunday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City with funeral servcies to follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Dean Bandy and Rev. John Russell officiating. Rebecca Florence 'Granny' Law, born April 13, 1908, age 95, of Maryville passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. preceded in death by son, Harrison Law; parents, Abraham and Mary Law; four brothers; four sisters; and one step brother. She is SURVIVED by her daughter, Elnora Law of Maryville; daughter-in-law, Imogene Law of Maryville; granddaughters, Susan Law Sartin and Beth Law Corbin; great-granddaughters, Mrs. James (Brittany) Gardner, Cameron Rigsby, and Ariel Sartin; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2004 at Miller Funeral Home Cedar Chapel, Rev. Carl White officiating. Graveside service will be held immediately following the funeral service at Laws Chapel Cemetery. Bessie Mae Lawson, age 75, of Rockford passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was of the Baptist faith, retired from Rockford Manufacturing Company. preceded in death by parents, Clarence and Myrtle Lawson; sisters, Cleo Irwin and Pearl Jones.
Survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Marie Lawson; daughter, Katherine 'Kay' Richardson all of Rockford; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edgar 'Bud' and Helen Lawson of Maryville, Clyde and Pat Lawson of Greenback; brother, James Arnold Lawson of Maryville; grandchildren, Stevie, David, Hope Lawson, Cathy and Angie Richardson; great-great-grandchildren, Haley, Joey, Kelsey, Devon, Taylor, Dennis and Zach; several nieces and nephews.

MARY JUSTUS GALYON
Mary Justus Galyon, age 86 of Maryville, passed away Monday, March 15, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She had been a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for over 50 years where she was an avid supporter of the Youth Department. Her hobbies were gardening, fishing and her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur W. Galyon; son, Baxter W. Galyon; and parents, Caleb and Millie Justus. Mary was the last survivor of her parents' 15 children.
She is survived by a daughter, Wilma Galyon Phillis and husband Don; son, Robert Stephen Galyon and wife Martha; granddaughter, Rhonda DeBoard and husband Timothy; Angela Kirby and husband Mike; grandson, Travis Galyon and wife Amanda; great-granddaughters, Rachael Thrasher and husband Chad, Emily DeBoard, Lauren DeBoard, Sara DeBoard; great-grandson, Taylor DeBoard; great-great-grandson, Alec Thrasher and great-great-grandson, Wilson Gray Kirby, expected in May; and Juanita Galyon, a dear friend, sister-in-law and companion.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Long officiating. The interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

HAROLD D. MARKS
Harold D. Marks, 82, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2004 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. Harold was a member of Garvinwood Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge in Sebree, KY, Scottish Rite, Shrine, and was a veteran of the Navy serving during WWII. He retired in 1984 from Marks Auto Sales.
Harold is survived by his wife, Ruth E. of 63 years of Evansville, IN; his daughter, Sandra Dalhaus and her husband Richard of Maryville, TN; his son, Stephen Marks and his wife Patricia of Evansville, IN; two sisters, Mildred Culberson of Evansville, IN and Velvee Tapp of Poole, KY; grandchildren, Jamie Lewark and her husband Chris, Kelli Miller, Christopher Miller, Mark Wolf Marks and his wife, Sharon, and Scott Wolf; one great-granddaughter, Stephanie Wolf. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, Evansville, IN with Revs. Mike Parrott and Etshel Hillhouse officiating.
