JENNY MICHELLE HATLEY JOHNSON Jenny Michelle Hatley Johnson, age 25, 1583 Hwy. 91, Elizabethton, died Monday, March 24, 2003 at her residence following an extended illness. She was a native of Carter County, and the daughter of the late Larry Mack Hatley. She was a member of Centerview Church of Christ. She was a former employee of Rustlers Restaurant and of Southern Restaurant. She attended Unaka High School. She is preceded in death by a paternal grandfather, Jack Hatley, and a maternal grandfather Jim Blevins. A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late James T. and Burnace Taylor Peters. He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda White. Mr. Peters was a retired Hi-Lo Driver for the Ford Motor Company and was of the Free Will Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Juanita M. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late, Jake and Celia Holder Estep. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donley Estep and Finley Estep. Survivors include two nieces and several cousins, special friends, Bobby and Connie Oliver, Elizabethton, Roy and Rebecca Lubag, Elizabethton. The graveside service for Ora Estep, age 84, 132 Holly Springs Road, Elizabethton who died Sunday, June 22, 2003 will be conducted 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 25 at Richardson cemetery with Rev. OBITUARY AND FUNERAL NOTICE FOR NAT COLBAUGH Nat Colbaugh, age 79, 138 Creek Bank Road, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, June 10, at Johnson City Medical Center Hospital following a brief illness. A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Ella Frances Aldridge Colbaugh. He attended Willow Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Colbaugh was retired from civil service. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in World War II. He was a member of American Legion Watauga Post #49, Capt. Lynn H. Folsom V.F.W. Post #2166, Boumi Temple Masonic Lodge, Baltimore, MD, and Jericho Shriners Temple. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Bill Colbaugh and one sister, Edith Feathers. Survivors include his wife of the home, Lula Colbaugh, three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Margaret and Ola Bowers, Elizabethton, Ella J. Medfaris, Elizabethton, Betty and Howard Markland, Michigan, several other nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. A native of Carter County, he is the son of Rhoda Nave Hodge, Elizabethton and the late Ivan Hodge. Mr. Hodge was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, and placed the three crosses on the hill overlooking Elizabethton. He was a retired Iron worker and newspaper carrier for the Elizabethton Star. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jo Hardin.
