Mary Carmine Alsup
89 year old Mary Carmine Alsup of Murfreesboro died Saturday at StoneCrest Medical Center. She was born in Rutherford County and was the daughter of the late Homer & Annie Mae McRae Alsup. She is survived by her sons, Jerry Alsup and his wife, Carol of Murfreesboro, John Alsup and his wife, Judy of Smithville; daughters, Pam Alsup and Mary Alsup of Murfreesboro; grandsons, John Miller Alsup and Jacob Alsup of Smithville. Visitation with the family will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro. A graveside services will be at 2 p.m Monday at Alsup cemetery in Wilson County. Mrs. Alsup was preceded in death by her husband Lillard Jacob Alsup, a step son, Sonny Alsup and her brothers, James, John, Hubert and Bill Alsup. Gordon Fish
91 year old Gordon Fish of Lebanon and a long time resident of the Long Branch Community of DeKalb County died Friday at his residence. Fish was born in Temperance Hall, the son of the late Bonnie Beulah Malone and Johnny Lloyd Fish. He did construction work on the building of Center Hill Dam. He retired from TVA after 30 years. He was a member of the Long Branch Community Church and was Sunday School Superintendent for over 50 years. The body is at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Home where the service will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. James Lee Williams and Mark Miller will officiate and burial will be in the Gordonsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Gordonsville Chapel on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. Fish was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Winfree and Jimneva Self. A great grandson, Mark Anthony Fletcher, Jr. and a son-in-law, Fred Fletcher. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Alene Maynard Fish of Lebanon. A daughter, Ruthene Fletcher of Lebanon. Three grandchildren, Wayne and his wife Debbie Fletcher of Lebanon, Lisa Rosenboom of Lebanon, and Mark and his wife Wanda Fletcher of Watertown. Five grandchidren, Kristi Fletcher, Ashley Cook, Brandi Cousino, Stacy Woods, and Emily Woods. Seven great great grandchildren. A sister, Joyce Trusty of Lancaster. 73 year old Virginia Earlene Rich of Cookeville died Saturday at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pomeroy Chapel Baptist Church. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. John Wilson will officiate and burial will be in the Petty Cemetery. 89 year old James Foutch Young of Smithville died Saturday at the Webb House Retirement Center. He was a retired Postal Carrier and a member of the Smithville Church of Christ.
