63 year old Nedra Stanley Dickson of McMinnville died Saturday at River Park Hospital. She was a native of Warren County, a housewife, and a member of the Mount Leo Church of Christ. Mrs. Dickson was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Dickson; her parents, Howard and Inez Turner Stanley; her sister, Evelyn Melton; and her brothers, W.T. And Dickey Stanley. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of McMinnville Funeral Home. Lane Dix will officiate and burial will be in the Gardens of Memory. The Dickson family will receive friends on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Dickson of McMinnville. Three daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Jim Jenkins of Ashland City, Alice and Ronnie Parker of Watertown, and Shelia and Mike Gann of Alexandria. Three brothers, J.P. Stanley of McMinnville, James Stanley of Smithville, and Lindon Stanley of Nashville. Two grandchildren, Justin and Billy Parker. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. 86 year old Arthur R. Lafever of Smithville died Thursday of an extended illness at DeKalb Hospital. He was a retired maintenance mechanic for DeKalb County, a World War II Army Veteran, and a member of the American Legion and VFW. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bobby Colvert and Don Davidson will officiate and burial will be in Whorton Springs Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents, O.Z. and Hallie Lafever; two brothers, Talmadge and Milas Lafever; and a sister, Mary Lafever. He is survived by his wife, Janelle Lafever of Smithville. Two sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Genia Lafever of Nashville and Carlon and Suzanne Lafever of Soddy Daisy. Two grandchildren, Rebecca and Adrienne. 85 year old Joe Wyatt Davis of Smithville died Thursday of an extended illness at DeKalb Hospital. He was a World War II Army Veteran and received the World War II Bronze Star Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Purple Heart. He was a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge. Davis was also a Shriner and a Scottish Rite member. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wyatt Lee and Lola Davis. He is survived by his wife, Jessie Davis. A son and daughter-in-law, David Wyatt and Shelia Davis. A daughter and son-in-law, Jaye Ann and Jim Ottinger. A step-daughter, Catherine and her husband Willie Faulk. Grandchildren, Lee Joseph Davis, Kellie Joe and her husband Collin MacMillen, and Heather Lee and her husband David Olivet. Great grandchildren, J.D. and Piper D. Olivet. 75 year old Olida Keaton Malone of Murfreesboro and a native of DeKalb County died Tuesday evening at Middle Tennessee Medical Center of an extended illness. 90 year old Ethel Sykes Hayes of Temperance Hall died Friday at NHC Healthcare Center in Smithville. The body is at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Home where the funeral will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Dickie Johnson will officiate and burial will be in the Gordonsville Cemetery. She is survived by three sons, Larry and Ronnie Sykes both of Temperance Hall and Shannon and his wife Kay Sykes of Humble, Texas. Seven grandchildren, David Sykes, Glen Sykes, Doug Sykes, Melissa Delaney, Rhonda Sykes, Glenda Johnson, and Scottie Sykes. Eleven great grandchildren. A sister, Lucille Nixon of Lebanon. 77 year old James Clinton Turner of the Green Hill Community in Warren County died Wednesday at River Park Hospital in McMinnville. He was a member of the North Warren Church of Christ, a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, and a retired nursery worker. The funeral will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of High's Funeral Home in McMinnville. Mark Parkhurst will officiate and burial will be in the Woods Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Hershel Turner and Persie Whalley Cope. He is survived by his wife, Jolanda M. Turner of the Green Hill Community. Four daughters and two sons-in-law, Carol Bandy and Diane Ferrell both of Smithville, Ruby and Bobby Thomason of Smithville, and Connie and Dewayne Rackley of the Green Hill Community.
