34 year old Kevin Layne Cantrell of Smithville died Friday at his residence. He was a member of the Smithville Church of Christ. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Dan Gulley and Tim Woodward will officiate and burial will be in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from noon until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 1:30 p.m. He is survived by his parents, Phillip Cantrell of Lebanon and Debora Lynn Tisdale of Smithville. One son, Kaleb Layne Cantrell of Morrrison. One brother, Ricky Lee Tisdale II of Carthage. His maternal grandmother, Robbie Fuson of Smithville. Agnes P. Dunham
92 year old Agnes P. Dunham died Tuesday at St. Mary's Medical Center in LaFollette. The funeral will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the New Union The Baptist Church. Anthony Pelham will officiate and burial will be in the New Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Edna Jones Dunham; a sister, Avis Ray; a brother-in-law, Burnice Ray; and a nephew-in-law, Paul Blankenship. She is survived by two brothers, James M. Dunham of Nashville and Royce Dunham and his wife Betty of LaFollette. Nieces, Geraldine Blankenship of Smithville, Candy Dunham and Beth Nelson of Nashville, and Susan Tucker of Knoxville. A nephew, Grady Ray of Smithville. Allene Dunn
86 year old Allene Dunn of McMinnville died Tuesday at NHC Healthcare Center in Smithville of an extended illness. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church. The funeral will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell & Cope Funeral Home in McMinnville. Jerry Womack and Danny Barnes will officiate and burial will be in Boiling Springs cemetery in Cookeville. The family will receive friends Thursday from noon until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She was the widow of the late William Lester Dunn. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Moses and Effie L. Reeder Pedigo; three brothers, Lee Allen Pedigo, Toy Pedigo, and Floyd Pedigo; and two sisters, Susann Pedigo and Martha Ann Clemons. She is survived by two daughters, Juanita and her husband Clifton Hendrixson of McMinnville and Brenda F. Grissom of Newport News, Virginia. Two sons, Jimmy and his wife Debbie Dunn of McMinnville and Aubrey L. Dunn of McMinnville. Two sisters, Lessie and her husband Clarence Womack of McMinnville and Ruby and her husband J.A. Whitlock of McMinnville. Two brothers, Norvan and his wife Wilma Pedigo of McMinnville and Lloyd and his wife Mamie Pedigo of Murfreesboro. Five grandchildren, Cameron Scott Hendrixson, Jimmie Lynn Dunn, Billy Lee Dunn, William Douglas Merriman, and Steven Michael Grissom. 81 year old Norma Keaton of Alexandria died Tuesday at University Medical Center in Lebanon. The funeral will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Brush Creek Baptist Church. 76 year old John Edward Bratten of Liberty died Thursday at his residence. He was a contractor, and active member of the N.R.A. and he was in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1953. He was born in Detroit, Michigan. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. David Mahan will officiate and burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from noon until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Bratten was preceded in death by his parents, John and Iona Bratten. He was a Warren County native, a stock yard worker, and a member of the Auburntown Baptist Church. The funeral will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday after 10:00 a.m. Fults was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Bell Rowland Fults and his brothers and sisters, Elizabeth Cricket Duggin, Jimmy Fults, and Sue Bullard. He is survived by his children, Russell and his wife Helen Fults of DeKalb County, Ricky and his wife Janie Fults of Cannon County, Wesley "Bull" Fults of Cannon County, Jackie Fults of DeKalb County, Diane and her husband Jeff Hardin of DeKalb County, Patsy Fults and Tommy Johnson of Cannon County, and Jeffery and his wife Sandy Fults of DeKalb County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Lee and Bunola Walker. Survivors include a daughter, Glenda Faye Hicks of Smithville. One son, Blake Martin of Georgia. 88 year old Dorothy Agnes Temple of Smithville died Monday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a retired hairdresser, member of Saint Catherine's Catholic Church, and the Order of Saint Frances. The funeral will be Thursday at 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. B.J. Thomason and Father David Cooney will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood cemetery in Massachusetts. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the service at 4:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Temple, Sr.; parents, Joseph and Mira Cashman; a brother, Johnny Cashman; and a sister, Evie Cashman. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard, Jr. and Norma Temple of Smithville. A daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Vaughn Skinner of Massachusetts. Linda Pritchett
66 year old Linda Pritchett of Brush Creek died Tuesday at Smith County Healthcare Center in Carthage. She was born in Brush Creek, the daughter of the late Janie Nellene Thomas and Thomas Elmer Pritchett. She was a 1961 graduate of Gordonsville High School. Pritchett worked at the Work Wear Corporation in Alexandria for 30 years. She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Smithville. The funeral will be at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Home on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Shane Smith will officiate. Burial will be in the Brush Creek cemetery with Glenn Pritchett officiating. The family will receive friends at the Gordonsville Chapel on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. She is survived by brothers, Glenn Edward and his wife Ruth Pritchett of Murfreesboro, James "Mutt" and wife Sue Pritchett of Brush Creek, and Dennis Franklin and wife Cathy Pritchett of Manchester. Sisters, Sarah Smith of Brush Creek, Debbie and husband James Bush of Gordonsville and Tammy Jane Ward of Watertown. Step-mother, Roberta Pritchett of Alexandria. Several nieces and nephews survive.
