Phyllis Carol Goldizen
76 year old Phyllis Carol Goldizen of Sparta died Monday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Bob Goldizen. Four daughters, Phyllis and her husband Stephen Schwing, Becky and her husband Earl Hibbard, Bridgett and her husband Junior Roak, and Wanda and her husband Bill Wilymacky. Two sons, Mike and his wife Debbie Goldizen and Bobby and his wife Lynn Goldizen. Sixteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family has chosen direct cremation.

Mollie "Mamie Cile" Lucille Self
95 year old Mollie "Mamie Cile" Lucille Self of Alexandria died Wednesday at the Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. She was born in DeKalb County, a retired cook for Metro Nashville Schools, and a member of the Linwood Pentecostal Church. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown. Danny Hunt, Cory Turner, Roger Grisham, and Walter George will officiate and burial will be in the Wilson County Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Fitts and Susie McBride Fitts; her husbands, Denton Neal and Charlie Self. Four sisters and a brother also preceded her in death. She is survived by daughters, Annie and her husband Bratten Turner of Alexandria and Ina and her husband Foster Moore of Lebanon. A step-son, Robert and his wife Barbara Self of Smithville. A step-daughter, Irene Koesis of Tampa, Florida. Seven grandchildren, two step grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren, and fourteen great great grandchildren. 38 year old Carl Gene Grove, Jr. of Smithville died Thursday at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a self-employed lawn service worker. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Virgil Hibdon, Jr. will officiate and burial will be in the Aaron Cantrell Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Judy Grove; and infant sister, his paternal grandparents, George and Delma Grove; his maternal grandparents, Clifton and Lois Bonner; special great uncle, Odie Martin; and an aunt Gracie Killough. Survivors include his father, Gene Grove of Smithville; his mother and step-father, Barbara and Eldon Currey; two sisters, Tina Serna and Regina Nunley; two step-brothers, Eldon and Rodney Currey all of McMinnville. 95 year old Lillian Pedigo Taylor of Smithville died Thursday at NHC Healthcare Center in Smithville. She was a member of the Elizabeth Chapel Baptist Church and worked at the shirt factory until she was 85 years young. The funeral will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Micheal Hale will officiate with burial in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar "Doak" Taylor, Sr.; grandchildren, Sherri G. Taylor and Jeffery A. Taylor; parents, Green and Ada Bond Pedigo; a brother, Martin Lee Pedigo; and sisters, Roxie Johnson and Lucille Blair. 77 year old Annie Lou Morris of Watertown died Sunday at her residence. She was born in Alabama. Morris was also a homemaker and a member of the Watertown Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hardin Fred Fletcher and Patti Ethel Hasten Fletcher; and a brother, Fred Fletcher, Jr. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Charlie T. 82 year old Georgia Kathryn Womack of LaVergne and formerly of the Gath Community of Warren County died Saturday at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville. She was born in DeKalb County. Womack was retired from the Genesco Corporation, a member of the LaVergne Church of Christ, and a former member of the Bybee Branch Church of Christ. A graveside service will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Whorton Springs Baptist Cemetery. Houston Bynum will officiate. The Womack family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McMinnville Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Burgess Franklin and Josie Leora Cantrell Womack and sisters, Nettie Estes, Virginia Johnson, Jennie Alberta Estes, and Lydia Stevens.
