47 year old Michael Don Hall of Watertown died Sunday at his residence. He was an employee of Wilson Post. He was born in Butler, Alabama, graduated from Watertown High School, and he attended MTSU. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown. William York will officiate and burial will be in the Jones Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and prior to the service on Tuesday. He is survived by his wife, Pamela York Hall. His parents are J.D. and Becky Hall of Lebanon. A sister, Becky Jo and her husband Lynn Vantrease of Lebanon. Brothers, Steve and his wife Marilyn Hall and Pat and his wife Miranda Hall all of Tennessee Ridge. 54 year old Teddy Dwight Foutch of Smithville died Sunday evening at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. He was a retired employee of Whirlpool. The funeral will be Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at the New Life United Pentecostal Church, where he was a member. Dwayne Cornelius and Terry Arnold will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 3:00 p.m. All visitation will be at the church. He is survived by his wife, Libby Foutch of Smithville. A son, Michael and his wife Niki Foutch of Liberty. Step-sons, Brent and his wife Lacy Arnold and Brandon Arnold of Smithville. Grandchildren, Matthey and Taylor Foutch and Calen and Jackson Arnold. His mother, Bobbie Chapman of Alexandria. His father and step-mother, Jimmy and Shirley Foutch of Alexandria. 85 year old Elsie Mai Choate of Mount Juliet and formerly of Smithville died Sunday at the Mount Juliet Healthcare Center. She was a retired nurse at Wlliam's Nursing Home and a member of the Emmanuel Church of Christ. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey Cridner and Nancy Florance Chapman Martin; three husbands, Charlie Hendrix, Benjamin Clark, and Nick Choate; two daughters, Nancy Inman and Myrtle Turnage; two grandchildren, Steven Ellis and Allen Brown Inman, Jr.; three sisters, Nonnie Hawkins, Cornelia Braswell, and Geneva Wooden; and two brothers, George and Aubrey D. Martin. Survivors include a daughter, Magdalene and her husband Freddy Ellis of Mount Juliet. One son, Billy Joe and his wife Sylvia Hendrix of Milan. 83 year old Roy Bass of Smithville died Friday at NHC Healthcare Center. He was a Baptist, a retired owner of Georgia Girl, member of the Royal Orders of Elk & Moose, Shriners, American Legion, and VFW. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bobby Thomason will officiate and burial will be in the Barrow Memorial Gardens in Winder, Georgia. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Bedford and Lattie Elizabeth Johnson Bass. He is survived by his wife, Linda Jane Bass of Smithville. One daughter, Vivian and Louie Oakley of Alexandria. Four sons, Phillip Bass of the Dominican Republic, Colin and his wife Sharon Bass of Nashville, Steven and his wife Barbara Bass of Alabama and John and his wife Tonya Bass of Smithville. Elizabeth Rose Abston
70 year old Elizabeth Rose Abston died Monday at UMC in Lebanon. The funeral service will be Saturday at 12 noon at Mays Chapel Baptist Church. Visitation will be Saturday starting at 11 a.m. Belita Fite will officiate and burial will be in the Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include her husband Alfred Abston; a son, Marcus and wife Ebony Stokes; a granddaughter, J'mia Covington; a sister, Margaret and husband John Johnson; brothers, Robert and wife Bessie, and Thomas and wife Eula Stokes; sisters-in-law, Mai B. and husband John Stafford, Margaret and husband John Bell, Estelle Oldham, Geneva Adams and Debra Abston. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosa Stokes.

88 year old Jewel T. Jones of Battle Creek, Michigan died Sunday at her home. She was born in Smithville, the daughter of James E. and Calli L. (Bain) Adcock. She was a homemaker most of her life but was previously employed by Keyes-Davis for 17 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson Jones. She is survived by her children, Bettie "Lene" Frantz of East Leroy, Ann and husband Ray Garrett of Battle Creek, and Bill and wife Geneva Jones of Battle Creek. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 11 great grand children; sisters Betty Jean Jones, Virginia Daniels, and Mildred and her husband Kenneth Johnson; along with a brother Clayton and his wife Dorothy Adcock all of Smithville. In addition to her husband, Jones was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Royal Funeral Home in Battle Creek. Michigan. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Royal Funeral Home in Battle Creek. Memorial contributions may be given to the Good Samaritan Hospice Care.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin J. and Lillie Mae Garren Hester; a son, Stephen Garren "Pete" Sifford; brothers, Marion Hester and Calvin Hester, Jr.; and a sister Betty Wycuff. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Reverend Carl Sifford, Sr. of Smithville. Sons, Carl, Jr. and his wife Sue Sifford of Smithville, Ron and his wife Patsy Sifford of Smithville, and Calvin and wife June Sifford of Douglasville, Georgia. Eight grandchildren, Melissa Sanders of Jacksonville, Florida; Michelle Sanchez of Dade City, Florida; Carla Sue Sifford-Brown of Smithville, Brandon Sifford of Hawaii; Kendra White of Smithville; Jason Sifford of Smithville; Jeana Sifford of Douglasville, Georgia; and Tracey Stone of Douglasville, Georgia. James Frank Parham, Jr.
Funeral Services for 90 year old James Frank Parham, Jr. of Cookeville, will be held Monday, at 11:00 a.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Jerry Buckner will officiate and burial with military honors will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Parham died Friday morning at his residence. He was born in Nashville to the late James Frank Parham and Bertha Staley Parham Marsh. Mr. Parham was of the Baptist faith, and served as Chaplain with the White County Community Hospital in Sparta a number of years. He was U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and a retired machinist with the Addressograph/Multigraph Company in Euclid, Ohio. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Craig Wieland. His family includes his wife of over 62 years, Margie Randolph Parham; six children Jim and wife Kellie Parham of Plymouth, Massachusetts, Pam Stephens of Cookeville, Gordon and wife Susan Parham of Smithville, Ann and husband Dave Webb of Sun City, Arizona, Dwight and wife Janice Parham of Willoughby Hills, Ohio, and Sarah and husband Ron Ryan of Geneva, Ohio: 13 grandchildren, Tracy Parham, Matthew and wife Wendy Parham, Dawn and husband Matthew Berry, Kimberly and husband Woody Cox, Craig Wieland, Andrew Webb, Tom and wife Jaclyn Webb, Amanda Parham, Natalie Parham, Joshua Ryan, Michael Ryan, Stephen Elliott, and Andrew Elliott: seven great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Hannah, and Abigail Cox, Dustin Parham, Alexis Kirkland, Maddie Griffin, and Brookelyn Berry.
