82 year old Katy Cantrell of Smithville died Saturday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pomeroy Chapel Brethren In Christ. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Youngbend Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Mattie Adcock Cantrell; two sisters, Josie Shehane and Macon Haas; and brothers, Gene, Carl, John, and Joseph Cantrell. She is survived by a sister, Ernestine and her husband Eddie Young of Smithville. A brother, Hoyte Cantrell of Smithville. A sister-in-law, Faye Cantrell of Smithville. Callie F. Wilson
87 year old Callie F. Wilson of Smithville died Saturday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a member of the Covenant Baptist Church and a former owner of Holmes Creek Boat Dock. The funeral will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bobby Thomason and Bobby Colvert will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband V.L. Wilson; parents John and Pairlee Robinson Fuson; a son, Donald Ray Wilson; and a brother, James Fuson. She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Ann Hale of Smithville and Paulette Mooneyham of Smithville. Two sisters, Robbie Young of Smithville and Nell Young of Dibrell. Six grandchildren, Mark and Sue Wilson, Crystal Hale, Kandy Fish, Tina and Joey Young, and Kevin Wilson all of Smithville, and Craig and Patricia Hale of Liberty. Fifteen great grandchildren, Christina and Nicholas Hale, Ryan and Matt Sullivan, John Caldwell, Amanda, Daniel, Heather, Jeana Wilson, Ashley Mooneyham, Tiffany, Andrew, and Bridgett Hutchens, Elizabeth Chalfant, and Alanna Young. Bobbie Lynn Tittsworth Betty
77 year old Bobbie Lynn Tittsworth Betty of Cowan, Tennessee died Wednesday. She was born in DeKalb County; the daughter of the late Mason Tittsworth and Louvella Young Tittsworth. She was the owner/operator of the Sampler in Cowan. She is survived by her husband, Howard "HG" Betty; her sister, Dorothy Young of Smithville; her niece Laura and husband Johnny Carter; and nephew Bill and wife Joania Young all of McMinnville. A memorial service, officiated by Howard Harnden, will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Moore-Cortner Chapel in Winchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Hospital, or the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. Willie Robert Adamson
81-year-old Willie Robert Adamson of Liberty died Thursday at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a retired mechanic, a member of the Cave Springs Missionary Baptist Church, and a 50-year member of both DeKalb Lodge 358 and DeKalb Order of the Eastern Star 488. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Pauline Sellers Adamson, and a brother, John Ray Adamson. The funeral will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Leonard Herman and Dewey Dyer will officiate, and burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. 87 year old Beatrice Rhea Green of McMinnville died Thursday at River Park Hospital of an extended illness. She was a Baptist and a nursery worker at Warren County Nursery. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of High Funeral Home in McMinnville. George Roberts will officiate and burial will be in the Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from noon until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Pamela Billings Farley
54 year old Pamela Billings Farley of Nicholasville, Kentucky died Thursday, May 13th at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center following a brief illness.
Farley graduated from Berea College with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree in 1977. She went on to earn her Master's degree in Nursing and Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky. Pam has been on the faculty in the Department of Nursing at Berea College for 27 years. She has served as the Susan V. Clayton Professor of Nursing, Chairperson of the Department of Nursing for the past 14 years. Pam has presented at numerous regional and national nursing conferences as well as attended international nursing conferences as far away as China and Great Britain. Pam served as past president of the Kentucky Association of Baccalaureate and Higher Degree Nursing Programs Council (KABHDNP); appointed representative to the Kentucky Nursing Educational Mobility Task Force; appointed member to the Kentucky Board of Nursing, Education Committee; and served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children in state custody. Pam was a member of the American Nurses Association, Kentucky Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing and International Society of Psychiatric Nursing.
In addition to her husband of 33 years, Terry Farley, she is survived by her sisters Diane Haley and Lisa Peterson of Smithville. Nieces, Chandra Adcock and Gina Arnold; nephew, Ross Peterson; great nieces, Kealah Curtis and Shara Adcock; great nephews, Clark Adcock, Bryson Arnold and Samuel Arnold; and a great great nephew, Gauge Pack; all of Smithville. Farley is also survived by aunts, Hilda Billings of Sparta, Helen Faul of Michigan and Robbie Young of Smithville. An uncle, Barney Rickman of Smyrna, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruth Billings.
A local memorial service is planned, but details will be announced later. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Department of Nursing, Berea College, CPO 2190 Berea, Kentucky 40403 in Pam's name.

94 year old Frank Roy Roberts of Alexandria died Wednesday at his residence. He was a farmer and a DeKalb County native.
