BILLY R. BILBREY
Funeral services for Mr. Billy R. Bilbrey, 63, of Monterey, were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2003, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey.
Burial was in Love Joy cemetery with Rev. Greg Jenkins and Rev. David Harris officiating.
Mr. Bilbrey died Wednesday, November 19 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Love Joy Baptist Church and had worked as a telephone installer lineman.
Born August 21, 1940, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Joe Early and Jewelene (Edwards) Bilbrey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Arlis Bilbrey, Talmadge Bilbrey, and Bobby Bilbrey.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Gail Bilbrey of Clarkrange; a son, Roger Dale Bilbrey of Clarkrange; five sisters, Phyllis Vaughn and Eva Bilbrey, both of Monterey, Meritta Neal of Algood, Arlene Gillespie of Knoxville, and Charlene Johnson of Cookeville; three brothers, Eddie Bilbrey of Old Town, FL, and Paul Bilbrey and Ted Bilbrey, both of Monterey; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

KERMIT DUETT HILL
Funeral services for Mr. Kermit Duett Hill, 68, of Monroe, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial was in Booher cemetery with Rev. Randy Tompkins officiating.
Mr. Hill died Friday, July 4 at his home. He was a truck driver and a member of Bethsaida Christian Church.
Born January 1, 1935, in Clay County, he was the son of the late Ezra and Alvia Rosetta (Smith) Hill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Millie (Hill) Smith; and two brothers, Loye Hill and Cleo Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel (Cravens) Hill of Monroe; a son, Gregory "CrackerÓ Hill and wife, Letha; a daughter, Kim Craig and husband, Michael, of Albany, KY; a sister, Ora Dean Smith of Cincinnati, OH; six brothers-in-law, Billy M. Smith of Muncie, IN, Clovis Cravens and wife, Anna, Alan Cravens and wife, Lela, Dayton Cravens, who passed away Thursday, July 10, 2003, and wife, Nora, Ralph Cravens and wife, Lena, and Billy Cravens; four sisters-in-law, Faye Hill of Alpine, Effie Stover, Ruby Frogge and husband, W.S., and Betty Abston and husband, George; three grandchildren, Mikaela Craig, Madison Craig, and Taylor Hill; an aunt, Beatrice Wessendorf of Cincinnati; and a host of nieces and nephews.

JERRY BRUCE GARRETT Jr.
Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Bruce Garrett Jr., 33, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Good Hope cemetery with Bro. Jason Sells officiating.
Mr. Garrett died Friday, January 2. He was a truck driver and a logger.
Born April 30, 1970, in Overton County, he was the son of Jerry Bruce Garrett Sr. and Colene (Sullivan) Garrett. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alvin and Elsie Garrett and Lucean and Zelma Sullivan.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a daughter, Ashley Garrett of Livingston; a sister, Kristy Nail and her husband, Ron, of Georgetown, KY; a nephew, Garrett Nail; and several aunts and uncles.

VERSIE LEE LINDER
Funeral services for Miss Versie Lee Linder, 75, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Linder cemetery with Bro. Bud Hargis officiating.
Miss Linder died Wednesday, February 25 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a homemaker and of the Freewill Baptist faith.
Born November 4, 1928, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Reba (Morgan) Linder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Linder, J.B. Linder, and Bill Linder; and three sisters, Betty Richardson, Eva Nell Qualls, and Bessie Holman.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles Linder and Robert Sherman Linder Jr., both of Livingston; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Donnie Qualls, Sylvester Linder, Keith Linder, Jeff Linder, Tim Holman, Billy Linder, and Phil Cross.

VADA LORENE (REYNOLDS) MAINORD
Funeral services for Mrs. Vada Lorene (Reynolds) Mainord, 77, of Algood, will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, March 3, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville.
Burial will be in Netherland cemetery with Bro. Sam Mainord and Bro. Paul Wilmoth officiating.
Mrs. Mainord died Sunday, February 29. She was retired from Roses Department Store in Cookeville and was a member of Algood Church of Christ.
Born February 27, 1927, in Madisonville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Orbit and Mattie (Morrow) Reynolds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Reynolds and J.C. Reynolds; a sister, Eula Pearl Wickes; and a grandson, Daniel Mainord.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, L.M. Mitchel Mainord of Algood; two sons, David Mainord of Cookeville and Billy Mainord and his wife, Rhonda, of Rickman; two daughters, Sondra Loftis and her husband, Stanley, of Cookeville and Judy Geurin and her husband, Kelley, of Benton, AR; seven grandchildren, Sam Mainord, Jessica Geurin, Sarah Brown, Jeremy Geurin, Seth Loftis, Amanda Mainord, and Josh Mainord; and two great grandchildren, Shelby Mainord and Grant Mainord.

Funeral services for Mrs. Zua Estel McCormick, 80, of Livingston, were conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Mrs. McCormick died Tuesday, February 24 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a housewife and a member of Livingston Church of Christ.
Born February 17, 1924, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Burr and Etta (Bilyeu) Maxwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cloyce McCormick; and two brothers, Grady Maxwell and Ray Maxwell.
Survivors include a son, Jack McCormick of Livingston; a daughter, Rita Apple of Carthage; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ralph Robbins, Jack Pigg, David Martin, Earl Carr, Delon Robbins, and Curtis Long.

JESSE ELMO NELSON
Funeral services for Mr. Jesse Elmo Nelson, 86, of Rickman, were conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Eckel cemetery with Rev. Comer McGuire officiating.
Mr. Nelson died Monday, February 23 at Overton County Nursing Home. He was a retired power house operator for the Corps of Engineers at Dale Hollow Dam with 25 years of service. He was also a member of Oak Hill United Methodist Church, a United States Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Livingston Lodge 259.
Born October 8, 1917, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Joe and Lizzie (Hammons) Nelson.
Survivors include his wife, Claudean Nelson of Rickman; a son, Jesse C. Nelson of Rickman; a brother, Stanley Nelson of Okolona; a sister, Dean Halsell of Livingston; two grandchildren, Darryl Nelson and Amy Webb; and four great grandchildren, Autumn Webb, Katelyn Webb, Alex Webb, and Clark Nelson.
Pallbearers were John Halsell, Andy Melton, Ed Melton, Bill Nelson, Kennith Nelson, and Ray Stewart.

DENNIS WAYNE ROBERTS
Funeral services for Mr. Dennis Wayne Roberts, 50, of Hilham, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Mr. Roberts died Sunday, February 22 at his home. He was a general laborer in the construction industry and of the Methodist faith.
Born September 17, 1953, in Dayton, OH, he was the son of Winfred M. Roberts of Farmersville, OH, and the late Willie Agnes (Bilbrey) Roberts. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Amie Denise Roberts.
Survivors, in addition to his father, include his step-mother, Barbara Roberts of Farmersville; a son, Derrick Roberts and his ex-wife and mother of his child, Linda (Morrow) Roberts, both of Cookeville; a brother, Byron Roberts of Germantown, OH; two step-brothers, Jerry Dalton of Germantown and Jimmy Dalton of Louisville, MS; and two step-sisters, Penny Cramer of Germantown and Kelly Wright of Miamisburg, OH.

Funeral services for Mr. Ruben R. Smith, 91, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2004, at Livingston First United Methodist Church.
Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tom Halliburton and Rev. Craig Green officiating. Mr. Smith died Thursday, February 26 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a retired auto dealer, a member of First United Methodist Church, and a Shriner.
Born March 15, 1912, in Pickett County, he was the son of the late Mac and Lucinda (Young) Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred (Swallows) Smith; and a sister, Zell Gutohrlein.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Langford and her husband, Charles, of Livingston; a brother, Roger Smith of Florida; three sisters, Veachel Hill of Minnesota, and Wilma Livermore and Vella Mae Sparkman, both of Michigan; two grandchildren, Michelle Bowman and her husband, Mike, and Mike Langford and his wife, Tina; seven great grandchildren, Nicole Thrasher, Danielle Thrasher, Matthew Thrasher, Bonnie Bowman, Colby Langford, Colin Langford, and Cori Langford; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Mike Langford, Mike Bowman, Matt Thrasher, Roger Rolfe, Danny Sparkman, Billy Shunk, and Patrick Hughes.

Funeral services for Mr. Arlis Talley, 87, of Cookeville, were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2004, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville.
Burial was in Smith Chapel cemetery with Bro. Buddy Reeder and Bro. Gary Anderson officiating.
Mr. Talley died Tuesday, February 24 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a retired freight manager at Eagle Express, a member of Fairview Church of Christ, and a former elder and songleader.
Born August 11, 1916, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Alfred and Dona (Warden) Talley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gillie Lou (Jackson) Talley; two daughters, Laura Marie and Glenda Fay Talley; two brothers, Ellis Talley and Owen Talley; and two sisters, Stella Mayberry and Alma Hartness.
Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Lynn and her husband, Kenneth, of Cookeville, and Barbara Geesling and her husband, Bobby, of Hilham; a son, Jimmy Talley and his wife, Barbara, of Cookeville; 6 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Ward King, 73, of Cookeville, were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2004, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville.

Mr. King died Saturday, January 3 at NHC Healthcare. He always enjoyed helping others and working in auto mechanics. He was a retired machinist with Cadillac Gauge and attended Calvary Baptist Church.
Born June 11, 1930, in Monroe, he was the son of the late Ambrose Marion and Nancy (Choate) King. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Willie King, Allard King, Oral King, and James Donald King; four sisters, Epsie King, Allene Robbins, Opal Reagon, and Emma D. Milton; and a grandson, Jason Huffman.
Survivors include his wife, Grace (Maniaci) King of Cookeville; a daughter, Nancy Ruth Huffman and her husband, Roger, of Sterling Heights, MI; a son, Steven Dwayne King of Cookeville; two brothers, R.D. King and his wife, Dorothy, of Cookeville, and Randall King of Indianapolis, IN; a sister, Eurola Pryor of Crossville; three grandchildren, Jeremiah King of Texas, Jessica Dimagio of St. Clair Shores, MI, and Amanda Lynn Moles of Cookeville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
