Funeral services for Mrs. Opal (Allred) Choate, 81, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Flatt Creek cemetery with Bro. Bobby Gore officiating.
Mrs. Choate died Tuesday, January 27 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. She was a nurseÕs aide, a housewife, and a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ.
Born December 17, 1922, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Lee and Winnie Lee (Goodpasture) Allred. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Vestel Choate; her first husband, William Clyde Boles; a son, Curtis Boles; a sister, Reba Parrigin; and a brother, Charles Allred Jr.
Survivors include a son, Clifford Choate and his wife, Angie, of Livingston; four daughters, Patricia Collins of Dover, Regina Colson and her husband, Haskel, and Betty Speck and her husband, Ray L., all of Rickman, and Janet Grissom and her husband, Monte, of Spencer; a brother, Roy Allred and his wife, Lois, of the Flatt Creek Community; 12 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; three nieces, Brenda Saunders, Judy Parrigin, and Mary Boles; and a special friend, Cookie Conner.
Pallbearers were Anthony Speck, Brandon Choate, Bryan Collins, Jamison Colson, Goodloe Saunders, and Steve Boles.

HELEN SUE (AUBERSON) DAILY
Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Sue (Auberson) Daily, 56, of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Daily died Tuesday, January 6 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of Memorial Baptist Church.
Born March 31, 1947, in Overton County, she was the daughter of Reba Lee (Cravens) Auberson of Livingston and the late Tony Bryan Auberson. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Earl Wayne Johnson.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include a daughter, Michelle Burgess and her husband, Greg, of Hilham; a brother, Bruce Auberson and his wife, Brenda, of Livingston; a sister, Gail Auberson of Cookeville; five grandchildren, Crystal Burgess, Beth Burgess, Tiffany Burgess, Michael Burgess, and Thomas Burgess; a nephew, Michael Auberson; and a niece, Regina Ray.
Pallbearers were John Halsell, Larry Johnson, Roger Auberson, John Wayne Threet, Benny Dishman, and Jerry Murphy.

ELBERT DONALD HUNTER
Funeral services for Mr. Elbert Donald Hunter, 68, of Allons, were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Hunter Cove cemetery with Bro. Lester Flatt, Bro. Larry Thomas, and Bro. Donald Cobb officiating.
Mr. Hunter died Tuesday, January 27 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a farmer, a school bus driver, and a member of Allons Baptist Church.
Born March 23, 1935, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Commadore Perry and Sally Vaudy (McCormick) Hunter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas "T.D." Hunter, McCoy Hunter, and Melvin Hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Ina Hunter of Allons; two daughters, Cindy Hunter and Penny White and her husband, Anthony, all of Allons; a brother, Raymond Hunter of Nashville; three grandchildren, Nathasa Hunter, Courtney White, and Thomas White; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jerry Hunter, Robert Hunter, Rick Hunter, Timmy Hunter, Roger Hunter, Doug Hunter, Joey Dilldine, Larry Buck, Bobby Burgess, and Rick Ledbetter.

DAN LANCASTER
Funeral services for Mr. Dan Lancaster, 87, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Rev. Donald Cobb officiating.
Mr. Lancaster died Thursday, January 29 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a retired warehouse employee of Upper Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation, a member of First Baptist Church in Livingston, a United States Navy veteran, and a member of Livington Lodge 259 Chapter and Council.
Born December 20, 1916, in Smith County, he was the son of the late Alfred and Eva (Atkins) Lancaster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christene (Plumlee) Lancaster; a daughter, Carolyn Young; two brothers; four sisters; and a great grandson, Tyler Lancaster.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Lancaster and Charles Lancaster, both of Livingston; a brother, Bill Lancaster of Louisville, KY; five grandchildren, Lorie Berta, Steve Lancaster, David Lancaster, Christopher Lancaster, and Jason Lancaster; and six great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tim McDonald, Steve Lancaster, David Lancaster, Christopher Lancaster, Jason Lancaster, and Drew Berta.

EVA MAY LOOPER
Funeral services for Mrs. Eva May Looper, 88, of Cookeville, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Looper died Saturday, January 31 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She sold antiques and was a member of Three Forks Baptist Church.
Born June 24, 1915, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Tina (Speck) Bowman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Looper; two sisters, Mable (Bowman) Brown and Edith Phillips; and four brothers, Bonnie Bowman, Roscoe Bowman, Ray Bowman, and Roy Bowman.
Survivors include two half-brothers, Billy Bowman of New Carlye, OH, and Al Bowman of Cookeville; two half-sisters, Mary Agnes Schlensker and Anna Marie, both of Anderson, IN; a special nephew, M.C. Brown of Livingston; and several nieces and nephews.

CATHY L. BARNABY
Funeral services for Mrs. Cathy L. Barnaby, 41, of the Timothy Community, were conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 21, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Barnaby died Tuesday, October 19 at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina. She was a nurse's aid and a member of Neely's Crossroads Church of Christ.
Born May 4, 1963, in Davidson County, she was the daughter of Willard Atkins of Red Boiling Springs and the late Elizabeth (Elliott) Atkins. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Atkins and Terry Atkins.
Survivors, in addition to her father, include her foster parents, Herman and Betty Killmon of the Timothy Community; a son, Anthony Smith and his wife, Jane, of Cookeville; a daughter, Casey Barnaby of Texas; a brother, Tommy Atkins; and two sisters, Rachel Carter of Livingston and Tammy Newberry of Texas.

Born November 3, 1958, in Anderson, IN, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Bobbie (Farley) Marcum. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Marcum.
Survivors include her husband, Keith Cyphers of Allons; two daughters, Andrea Cyphers and Lacy Cyphers, both of Allons; a brother, David Marcum of Anderson; a sister, Debbie Bair of Anderson; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Agnes Ward of Allons; a brother-in-law, Billy Ward of Cookeville; a nephew, Joey Bair of Anderson; and a great nephew, Watt Bair of Anderson.

Mrs. Hammock died Tuesday, October 12 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a retired factory worker and a member of Highland Baptist Church.
Born December 17, 1923, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Bertie (Stout) Walker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Hammock; a step-son, Hollis Hammock; two sisters, Fannie Brown and Ova Copeland; and two infant brothers, Doyle Walker and Earl Walker.
Survivors include two brothers, Alvin Walker of Livingston and P.J. Walker of Rickman; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews; and other family members and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Everett Ray Matthews, 61, of Gainesboro, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Mr. Matthews died Monday, October 18 in Gainesboro. He was a construction worker and affiliated with the Baptist church.
Born April 13, 1943, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Ermer and Annie Bell (Boles) Matthews.
Survivors include six brothers, Owen Matthews and Hugh Roy Matthews, both of Jackson County, Lawrence Matthews and Lee Matthews, both of Crossville, Horace Matthews of Livingston, and Sam Matthews of Allons; and five sisters, Ettar Smith, Nancy Pugh, Mary Matthews, and Audrey Matthews, all of Jackson County, and Ruby Sherrill of Crossville.

Mrs. Nelson died Sunday, October 24 at her daughter's home in Westmoreland. She was a homemaker.
Born October 23, 1935, in Algood, she was the daughter of the late Cooney Lee and Flossie (Eldridge) Palk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack "Pa" Nelson; a daughter, Sue Ann Bean; three sisters, Hazel Palk, Geneva Palk, and Louise Montgomery; four brothers, Bill Palk, James Palk, Roy Palk, and Vestle Palk; and a great grandson, Cody Ogletree.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Mabry of Westmoreland; five granddaughters, Melissa Wilson of Crossville, Amy Henry and her husband, Darrel, Rhonda Ogletree and her husband, Randy, all of Cookeville, Kathy Goolsby and her husband, Jeff, of Carthage, and Cheryl Rex and her husband, Leroy, of Monterey; 18 great grandchildren; a special great granddaughter, Felicia Lusk and her husband, Charles, of Westmoreland; and two great-great granddaughters.

Mr. Dishman died Friday, December 3 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a maintenance worker at the food processing plant and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He attended Memorial Baptist Church.
Born December 1, 1937, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Carson and Mary Ethel (Cravens) Dishman.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Dishman of Livingston; a daughter, Michelle Parrott and her husband, Brian, of Dandridge; a brother, Benny Dishman of Livingston; and two nephews, Ronald Dishman and Derek Dishman, both of Livingston.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Allen, John Halsell, Ralph Brown, Jerry Murphy, Ralph Sells, and James Ogletree.
