IRENE (DENTON) MARLOW
Funeral services for Mrs. Irene (Denton) Marlow, 50, of Livingston, were conducted at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Good Hope cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Dixon officiating.
Mrs. Marlow died Sunday, November 28 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a homemaker and had attended Dorsey Business College in Detroit, MI. Her hobby was wood burning.
Born May 21, 1954, in Detriot, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Edna Olene (Crabtree) Denton.
Survivors include a daughter, Stacey Neal of Flatt Lick, KY; two brothers, Hugh Denton and Kenneth Denton, both of Livingston; and a grandchild.
Pallbearers were George Cushing, Larry Dailey, David Crabtree, Gentry Linder, Jesse Linder, and Mike Neal.

ODIS WILLIAM MARTIN
Funeral services for Mr. Odis William Martin, 75, of Monterey, were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2004, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Baxter.
Burial was in Campground cemetery with Bro. Chris Walker and Bro. Rick Dixon officiating.
Mr. Martin died Saturday, December 4 at his home. He was a retired welder, mechanic, and machine operator at Babcok & Wilcox Industries in Barberton, OH. He was also a sharp shooter, an auto mechanic, a racer, and a teacher of many skills.
Born January 12, 1929, in Celina, he was the son of the late William Thomas and Mary Belle (Maxwell) Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Roger Dale Martin and Ray Randall Martin; two brothers, Haskell Martin and Brad Martin; and four sisters, Etta Mae Haney, Della Parrish, Zora Boles, and Iva Jean Dishman.
Survivors include his wife, Elise Martin of Monterey; a daughter, Sheila Walker and her husband, Paul, of Monterey; two sisters, Charlotte Phillips of Algood and Ora Langford of the Poplar Springs Community; a brother-in-law, Donnie Phillips of Cookeville; a sister-in-law, Betty Roberts of St. Clair Shores, MI; 5 grandchildren, Jason Rose, Marty Walker, Amanda Walker Charlton, Chris Walker, Jason Walker, and many others who called him Grandpa; and 10 great grandchildren, Shadow Rose, Santana Rose, Moah Rose, Nathan Rose, Cody Charlton, Kelsey Charlton, Carter Charlton, Kendra Walker, Christina Walker, and Taylor Walker.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Dishman, Kenny Dishman, Joe Bohorfoush, David Bell, Sean Brogan Bell, and Gene Mabe.
Jason Rose and Michael Breeding served as honorary pallbearers.

BETTY JO (DENTON) MCDONALD
Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jo (Denton) McDonald, 71, of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Good Hope cemetery with Bro. Duane Hargis officiating.
Mrs. McDonald died Friday, December 3 at Overton County Nursing Home. She was a retired beautician and attended Algood Freewill Baptist Church.
Born February 27, 1933, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Bernice (Fuqua) Denton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Hill. Survivors include three sons, Doug Parsons of Rickman, Mike Parsons of Alpine, and Tony Parsons of Monroe; a daughter, Debbie Parsons of Livingston; eight grandchildren, Derek Parsons, Lachelle Parsons, Kim Boles, Andrea Parsons, Brian Parsons, Christy Parsons, Shane Parsons, and Nakota Parsons; four great grandchildren; a nephew, Kelly Hill of Livingston; and a niece, Penny Hill of Livingston.
Pallbearers were Derek Parsons, Kelly Hill, Bryan Parsons, Shane Parsons, Nathan Hargis, and Jim Beaty.

ELIZA PHILLIPS
Funeral services for Mrs. Eliza Phillips, 87, of Monterey, were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2004, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey.
Burial was in Welch Memorial cemetery with Rev. John Wood and Rev. Delmer McCowan officiating.
Mrs. Phillips died Thursday, December 2 at Standing Stone Care and Rehabilitation Center in Monterey. She was saved at 11 years-old and baptized by her father into the Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a member of Monterey First Baptist Church and Green Pond Order of the Eastern Star.
Born September 29, 1917, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Willis and Amanda (Copeland) Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Daily Phillips; two sons, Dennis Phillips and Fred Phillips; four sisters; and six brothers.
Survivors include a son, Jack Phillips and his wife, Gina, of Monterey; three daughters, Betty Looper and her husband, Raymond, of Monterey, Billie Miller and her husband, Hoyt, of Clarkrange, and Katie Anderson and her husband, Paul, of Onieda; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

THERESA MARY (BECK) POSTON
Memorial services for Mrs. Theresa Mary (Beck) Poston, 57, of Jackson County, were conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2004, from the chapel of Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating.
Mrs. Poston died Friday, December 3 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. She was a homemaker.
Born October 13, 1947, in Mt. Clemons, MI, she was the daughter of William Beck of Rochester Hills, MI, and the late Mary Elizabeth (Kovacs) Beck.
Survivors, in addition to her father, include three sons, Michael Poston and his wife, Brandy, of Hilham, James Roy Poston Jr. of Gainesboro, and Danny Lantto of Cookeville; a sister, Margaret Patterson of Houghton Lake, MI; four grandchildren, Tyler Scott Poston, Sheena Poston, Mike Ben Poston, and Tiffany Prudue; a nephew, Troy Patterson of Harrison, MI; and a niece, Sandy Dollen of Harrison.

Mrs. Robbins died Sunday, November 28 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a retired garment factory worker and a member of the Penticostal Church.
Born April 15, 1922, in Cumberland County, KY, she was the daughter of the late William Samuel and Myrtle Belle (Sheperd) Wells. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aras Oren Robbins.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann Stephens and her husband, Gordon, of Florida; three brothers, James Wells, Rabon Wells, and Donald Wells, all of Livingston; two grandchildren, William Morrow of Aldant and Jennifer Arnold of Gainesville, FL; and two great grandchildren; Christopher Morrow and Leah Morrow.

Mrs. Smith died Sunday, November 28 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a retired factory worker.
Born February 21, 1929, in Pickett County, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Data (Smith) Little. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Smith; and two brothers, Gilbert Smith and Randell Smith.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Smith of Monroe; a brother, Hollis Little of Cross Plains; three sisters, Clarice Dale of Springfield, Fredia Willis of Hagerstown, IN, and Wilma Marlow of Crossville; and a brother-in-law, Horace Smith of Monroe.

Funeral services for Mr. Hurfert Sells, 73, of the Taylor's Crossroads Community of Monroe, were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Mr. Sells died Wednesday, October 20 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Retired from Moorman's Feed Business, he was a farmer, a member of Free Communion Church of Christ, and a United States Army veteran.
Born December 7, 1930, in Overton County, he was the son of the late James Wesley and Stella (Dennis) Sells. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Truman Sells; and an infant brother.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Sells of Taylor's Crossroads; two daughters, Patricia Reagan of Taylor's Crossroads and Edith Murphy of Walls, MS; a brother, Milburn Sells of Allons; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Mrs. Stubblefield died Tuesday, October 19 in Cookeville. She was a retired business woman.
Born August 29, 1926, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Comer and Annie (Boles) Burks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Green Burks and Mont Burks; a sister, Irene Hutchinson; and an infant sister, Barbara Sue Burks.
Survivors include her husband, Charles R. Stubblefield of Cookeville; two daughters, Evelyn J. Handy and Anna Hayes, both of Cookeville; two sons, Robert R. Hayes and Billie R. Hayes, both of Cookeville; three brothers, Donald Paul Burks of Nunnely, Sonny Bud Burks of Monterey, and Kenneth Burks of Sidney, OH; five sisters, Hauda Hensley of Livingston, Kathrine Dixon of Tipton, IN, Edna Booher of Monroe, Myrle Andrews of Anderson, IN, and Jean Hooks of Sidney, OH; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several neices, nephews, and other family members and friends.

RUBY LEE (SULLIVAN) NEAL
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Lee (Sullivan) Neal, 73, of Tipton, IN, were conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2004, from the chapel of Porter Funeral Home in Tipton.
Burial was in Fairview cemetery with Jerry Markins officiating.
Mrs. Neal died Monday, January 26 at her home. She worked for 30 years as custodian at Tipton County Courthouse, retiring in 1992. She enjoyed bingo, gardening, and quilting.
Born August 28, 1930, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Mary Lampie (Brown) Sullivan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewroy Neal; four brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Coan and her husband, Dave, of Greentown, IN, and Sharon Adajare and her husband, Felix, of Indianapolis, IN; three sons, Tom Neal and his wife, Kay, and John Neal and his wife, Pam, all of Tipton, and Terry Neal of Orestes, IN; a sister, Lorane Clark and her husband, Ned, of Livingston; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

NEIL SMITH
Funeral services for Mr. Neil Smith, 82, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, February 2, 2004, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home.
Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Marlon Winningham officiating.
Mr. Smith died Friday, January 30 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a boilermaker and a veteran of the United States Army and the United States Air Force.
Born April 1, 1921, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Billy and Grant (Stover) Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Mallo.
Survivors include his wife, Hassie (Cole) Smith of Livingston; two sons, Mark Hawk Smith of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and Samuel Neil Smith of Livingston; a sister, Sidney Smith of Alpine; two brothers, Cato Smith of Alliance, OH, and Roy Smith of Michigan; two grandchildren, Askley and Jacob; and several nieces and nephews.
