Funeral services for Mr. William A. Greer Jr., 37, of Celina, were conducted Monday, November 8, 2004, from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Celina.
Burial was in Fitzgerald cemetery in Clay County with Kenny Miller officiating.
Mr. Greer died Tuesday, November 4 at his home.
Born June 15, 1967, in Clay County, he was the son of the late William A. Sr. and Lila (Westmoreland) Greer.
Survivors include a son, Alex Greer of Celina; a brother, Louis Greer of Celina; two sisters, Georgia Goney and Angie Smith, both of Celina; and his fiancˇe, Shannah Sparks and her son, Gabe.
Pallbearers were William Goney, Brian Boles, Allen Greer, David Greer, Yogi Boles, and Terry Key.

KERMIT HARGIS
Funeral services for Mr. Kermit Hargis, 93, of Monterey, were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 4, 2004, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey.
Burial was in Welch Memorial cemetery with Rev. Ryan Cox, Bro. Glen Goggins, and Bro. Edward Anderson officiating.
Mr. Hargis died Tuesday, November 2 at his daughter's home in the Woodcliff community. He was a retired coal miner, a member of UMWA, and a member of Monterey Church of Christ, where he had served as an elder.
Born January 5, 1911, in Crawford, he was the son of the late Tom and Etta (Vaughn) Hargis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cecil (Reeves) Hargis; a brother, Vince Hargis; and five sisters, Ora Wilson, Etta Copeland, Stella Brown, Bernice Harper, and Katherine Hill.
Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Whittaker and her husband, Jim, of Monterey; a sister, Cora Byrd of Battle Creek, MI; two grandchildren, Jimmy Whittaker and his wife, Marylin, of Cookeville, and Sherry Whittaker of Monterey; and a great grandchild, Amber Whittaker of Monterey.
Mr. Hargis' nephews served as pallbearers and the adult Sunday School class of Monterey Church of Christ served as honorary pallbearers.

ROBERT ARGLE "BOB" HILL
Funeral services for Mr. Robert Argle "Bob" Hill, 78, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Glen Ledbetter officiating.
Mr. Hill died Thursday, November 4 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was general superintendent and former co-owner of Highways Inc. He was a member of Flatt Creek Church of Christ.
Born July 12, 1926, in Clay County, he was the son of the late M.L. "Dock" and Cecil (Moredock) Hill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Hill; a son, Eddie Lee Hill; and a sister, Kathy Langford.
Survivors include a son, Kelly Hill and his wife, Damita, of Livingston; a daughter, Penny Hill of Livingston; four brothers, Joe Hill, Dan Hill, and Jerry Hill, all of Livingston, and Malcolm Hill of Cookeville; three sisters, Wynell Terry and Ruth Maynard, both of Livingston, and Betty Barnes of Rickman; and four grandchildren, Blair Hill, Hayden Hill, Hartlee Hill, and Whitney Hill, all of Livingston.
Pallbearers were Darrell Linder, Kent Terry, Joey Hill, Chig Parrott, Bill Boswell, Tim Pangle, Jerry Hill, and David Sells.

MYRTLE L. MOORE
Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle L. Moore, 70, of Allons, were conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2004, at Summer Shade Church of Christ in Allons.
Burial was in Fellowship cemetery with Bro. Cletis Beason officiating.
Mrs. Moore died Thursday, November 4 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a housewife and a member of Summer Shade Church of Christ.
Born April 10, 1934, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late John and Belle (Harvey) Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Moore.
Survivors include her husband, Harry Horton Moore of Allons; two sisters, Miranda Phillips of Allons and Mary Westmoreland of Anderson, IN; two granddaughters, Amy Collins of Allons and Peggy Moore of Jamestown; four great grandchildren, Jenna Collins, Allie Collins, John Collins, and Nicholas Emerick; and five nieces, Shelby Daniels, Tamara Brown, Carolyn Wright, Marsha Savage, and Martha Boles.
Pallbearers were Truman Brown, Eric Brown, Clifton Brown, Larry Daniels, John Daniels, Dale Collins, and Jimmy Collins.

WILLIE D. SWALLOWS
Funeral services for Mr. Willie D. Swallows, 81, of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Mr. Swallows died Wednesday, November 3 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was a farmer, an ATF agent, a real estate agent, former owner of Robbins & Garrett Electric & Plumbing, a member of First United Methodist Church in Livingston, a United States Army veteran of World War II, and a member of the VFW and American Legion.
Born March 6, 1923, in Overton County, he was the son of the late H.C. and Mary Ada (Webb) Swallows. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lillian Swallows.
Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Grimes of Hilham and Virginia Moore of Memphis; four grandchildren, Kelly Grimes of Livingston, Melissa Smith of Cookeville, Amy Hertter of Martin, and Patrick Moore of Memphis; and two great grandchildren, Rylee Hertter of Martin and Katie-Claire Smith of Cookeville.
Pallbearers were Pat Grimes, Don Moore, Patrick Moore, Ryan Hertter, Mike Smith, and Kevin Fleming.

RASSIE ANNIE (WALKER) HAMMOCK
Funeral services for Mrs. Rassie Annie (Walker) Hammock, 80, of Alpine, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2004, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hammock died Tuesday, October 12 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a retired factory worker and a member of Highland Baptist Church.
Born December 17, 1923, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Bertie (Stout) Walker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Hammock; a step-son, Hollis Hammock; two sisters, Fannie Brown and Ova Copeland; and two infant brothers, Doyle Walker and Earl Walker.
Survivors include two brothers, Alvin Walker of Livingston and P.J. Walker of Rickman; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews; and other family members and friends.

CHLOE (CONNER) HARVEY
Funeral services for Mrs. Chloe (Conner) Harvey, 94, of Anderson, IN, and formerly of Overton County, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2004, at Free Communion Church of Christ.
Burial was in Old Bethel cemetery with Bro. Glen Ledbetter and Bro. Cecil Shaw officiating.
Mrs. Harvey died Saturday, October 9 in Anderson. She was a homemaker and a member of Columbus Avenue Church of Christ.
Born January 23, 1910, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late John and Annabelle (Reeder) Conner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Harvey; a son, Noel Ray Harvey; three brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include a son, Jimmie Harvey of Anderson; a brother, Johnny Conner of Gamaliel, KY; two sisters, Lura Clark of Canton, OH, and Idabella Thomas of Antioch, CA; 5 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Mace died Sunday, October 10 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a housewife and attended Hilham Church of God.
Born April 20, 1916, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Titus and Louisa (Greenwood) Hammock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Arlin Mace; two sons, Roy Mace and Junior Mace; two daughters, Thelma Jean Mace and Bonnie Mace; four brothers, Thomas Hammock, Elmer Hammock, Mitchell Hammock, and Bea Hammock; three sisters, Florence Hammock, Iva Hammock, and Annie Boles; a grandson, Sherman Sevier; three great-great grandchildren; and two sons-in-law, Wilburn Sevier and Donnie Hamilton.
Survivors include three sons, Ray Mace and his wife, Clairce, of Watertown, William "Bill" Mace of Cookeville, and Lonnie Mace of Hilham; five daughters, Ruth Dillon and her husband, Clyde, Velma Cox, and Norma Hamilton and her husband, Joe Lee, all of Hilham, Jean Sevier and her husband, Mike, of Lebanon, and Linda Sevier of Brush Creek; a daughter-in-law, Wilma (Mace) Caufer; two brothers, Luther Hammock of Hilham and Arvil Hammock of Celina; a sister, Ova Barlow of Hilham; 24 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jeffrey Mace, Frankie Mace, Joey Tidwell, Scottie Hamilton, Jamie Flowers, and Jackie Sevier.

LARRY B. MATHIS
Funeral services for Mr. Larry B. Mathis, 43, of Cookeville, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2004, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville.

Mr. Mathis died Wednesday, October 13 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center after a long battle with leukemia. He was the owner of Color Craft Custom Painting Company.
Born November 5, 1960, in Putnam County, he was the son of David Mathis of Cookeville and the late Pat (Hunter) Mathis. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Davey Mathis; and his maternal grandparents, Laurance Hunter and Vera Hunter.
Survivors, in addition to his father, include his wife, Melissa (Anderson) Mathis; three children, Cortney Mathis and Nicholas Mathis of Cookeville and Amanda Tara Mathis of Jackson County; his step-mother, Pat Mathis of Cookeville; a sister, Debbie Little of Cookeville; two half-brothers, Kenneth Mathis of Cookeville and Richard Mathis of Ohio; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Howard and Barbara Anderson of Rickman; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Melody and Joey Williams of Rickman; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McDonald died Saturday, September 25 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a retail sales clerk at Crowley's Department Store in Dearborn, MI, and a member of Bethsaida Christian Church.
Born August 15, 1919, in Pickett County, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Florence (Stephens) Boles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence C. McDonald; a sister, Dorothy Mae Boles; and an infant sister.
Survivors include two nephews, Raymond D. McDonald of Royal Oaks, MI, and Ralph C. McDonald Sr. and his wife, Judith A., of Monroe; three great nephews, Ralph C. McDonald Jr. and his wife, Jogena, of Alpine, Michael D. McDonald and his wife, Anita, of Monroe, and Bryce E. McDonald of Crossville; a sister-in-law, Octava "Tay" McDonald of Monroe; and seven great-great nephews and great-great nieces, Caleb, Wade, Cole, Matthew, Clay, Michaela, and Cierra.
