EVELYN CHRISTINE BUTRUM
Memorial services for Evelyn Christine Butrum, 57, of Livingston and formerly of Alexandria, IN, will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2003, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial was in Memorial Park in Anderson, IN.
Mrs. Butrum died Saturday, April 5 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center due to injuries sustained in an auto accident. She graduated cum laude at Ball State University in Muncie, IN. She was a retired social worker and attended Swallows Chapel Full Gospel Church.
Born July 27, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Beatrice (Hodson) Rushton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Rushton.
Survivors include three sons, Kevin Vaughn and wife, Kayleene, of Anderson, Kreg Vaughn and wife, Penny, of Cookeville, and Scott Butrum and wife, Dawn, of Danville, IN; a daughter, Christine Vaughn of Livingston; a brother, Orville Rushton and wife, Nancy, of Anderson; two sisters, Phyllis Harless and husband, Jack, and Helen Flowers and husband, Hoy, all of Anderson; and seven grandchildren.

Ed Petermann
Funeral services for Mr. Ed Petermann, 57, of LaGrange, GA, were conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home in LaGrange with Rev. Carl Knowles officiating.
Mr. Petermann died Saturday, April 3 at Atlanta Medical Center. He was a plastic engineer with Guardian Automotive and the owner and operator of ES&P Industries, specializing in wrought iron work. He was a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans military order of stars and bars.
Born November 15, 1946 in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late Melcher Clarence Jr. and Martha Nell (Slaughter) Petermann.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Sally Petermann, of LaGrange; four children, Edward Ross Petermann Jr. of Greenville, SC, Melcher C. Petermann IV and his wife, Beth, of Columbia, and Kathryn Steele and her husband, Keith, and Elizabeth Petermann, all of LaGrange; a sister, Bette Coney and her husband, Richard, of Columbia; two sisters-in-law, Susan Chappell of Aiken, SC, and Kathy Thomas and her husband, John, of Jacksonville, FL; a brother-in-law, Bill Scurry, and his wife, Gail, of Huntersville, NC; a nephew, John Coney and his wife, Mary, of Columbia; a niece, Sarah Horonzy of Jacksonville; a great nephew, Lukas Sparks of Jacksonville; and several other nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.

DAVID BELCHER
Mr. David Belcher, 48, of Livingston, died at his home in Overton County. He was a construction worker and a United States Army veteran.
Born March 14, 1956, in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of Thermos Eugene Belcher. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harvey "Tiny" Belcher.
Survivors, in addition to his father, include his fiancˇe, Susan Morris of Cookeville; three sons, David Allen Belcher, Steven Shane Belcher, and Ashlee Jergins and his wife, Danielle, all of Cookeville; a daughter, Jessica Katherine Belcher of Flagstaff, AZ; two brothers, Marshall Belcher and his wife, Debbie, of North Carolina and Darrell Belcher of New Jersey; a granddaughter, Gillian Jergins; and several nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in North Carolina.

SARAH MARIE CONNER
Funeral services for Miss Sarah Marie Conner, 18, of Monroe, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2004, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home.
Burial was in Conner cemetery with Bro. Cecil Barlow officiating.
Miss Conner died Monday, May 17 at Livingston Regional Hospital due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was a senior at Livingston Academy, a member of the FHA, and a part-time employee at Livingston Pizza Hut.
Born February 7, 1986, in Marietta, GA, she was the daughter of Tony and Debbie (Bilbrey) Conner. She was preceded in death by a half-sister, Rebecca Jane Conner; and her grandparents, Hoy and Idell Conner.
Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her grandmother, Gracie Ledbetter of Monterey; a sister, Shelly Asberry, and her husband, John, of Byrdstown; a nephew, Cody Asberry of Byrdstown; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Randy Bilbrey, Anthony Pollett, Benji Buckner, Jimmy Conner, Clint Conner, and Johnathon Conner.

ELMO L. CONNER
Funeral services for Mr. Elmo L. Conner, 85, of Monroe, were conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial, with full military honors by the Honor Guard from James T. Davis Memorial Post 5062, was in Clark cemetery with Rev. Kenny Spaw officiating.
Mr. Conner died Sunday, May 16 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a farmer, a member of Barnes Ridge Church of Christ, and a United States Navy veteran of World War II.
Born January 24, 1919, in Pickett County, he was the son of the late Joe Fate and Cora Lee (Heard) Conner.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha Mae Conner of Monroe; four sons, Nello Conner, Lonnie Conner, Junior Conner, and Kenny Conner, all of Monroe; a sister, Mable McDonald of Livingston; 17 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Don Clark, Steve Seber, Frankie Beason, Rod Johnson, Joe Arney, and Shane Hogue.

DONNIE RAY HARRELL
Funeral services for Mr. Donnie Ray Harrell, 49, of Eagle Lake, FL, were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2004, from the chapel of Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven, FL.
Burial was in Auburndale Memorial Park.
Mr. Harrell died Monday, May 10 in Winter Haven. He was a supervisor for the Wal-Mart Distribution Center and a retired Navy veteran. He was of the Baptist faith.
Born January 13, 1955, he was the son of Franklin Harrell of Menlow, TX, and the late Donna (Richardson) Harrell. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Billy and Mauda Richardson.
Survivors, in addition to his father, include his wife, Melanie Ann Harrell; his step-mother, Lois Harrell of Menlow; two sons, Christopher B. Harrell of Eagle Lake and Daniel R. Harrell of Orlando; a brother, Billy Harrell of Needles, CA; two sisters, Debra Kempke of Odessa, TX, and Patricia Bartley of Menlow; and two grandchildren.

GEORGE W. MCCULLEY
Funeral services for Mr. George W. McCulley, 81, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Okolona cemetery with Bro. Bobby Gore and Bro. Chris Coil officiating.
Mr. McCulley died Monday, May 17 at his home. He was a retired bottler of the 7-Up plant and a United States Army veteran of World War II.
Born April 19, 1923, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Burt and Belle (Greenwood) McCulley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bess (Coffman) McCulley; three sisters, Dona Brown, Della Collins, and Edna Ledbetter; and a brother, Doc McCulley.
Survivors include a son, Randell "Bear" McCulley and his wife, Caroline, of Port Charlotte, FL; a daughter, Debbie Mars and her husband, Dale, of Livingston; a grandson, Jeremy Mars; two granddaughters, Sara Chaffin and Rachel Estes; two great grandchildren; two nephews, Brett Coffman and Dallas Collins; and a niece, Grace Kuykendall.

Mr. Paul died Sunday, May 16 at his home. He was a dairy farmer, a member of Free Communion Church of Christ, and a veteran of the United States Army.
Born December 23, 1935, in Overton County, he was the son of Waldon and Mildred (Mullins) Paul of Monroe.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Betty Paul of Monroe; a son, Steve Martin and his wife, Rita, of Monroe; a daughter, Laurel Martin and her husband, Lance, of Nashville; a sister, Elease Smith and her husband, Bill, of Anderson, IN; and a niece, Linda Smith of Indiana.

BETTY MAY (WHITMORE) SOLSBEE
Funeral services for Mrs. Betty May (Whitmore) Solsbee, 75, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2004, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home.
Burial was in Hunter-Cove cemetery with Bro. Larry Thomas officiating.
Mrs. Solsbee died Tuesday, May 18 at Overton County Nursing Home. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Wesleyan Church.
Born January 27, 1929, in Cold Springs, NY, she was the daughter of the late William Whitmore and Hazel Fisher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Solsbee.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Cole and her husband, Rex, of Allons; a son, Dennis Solsbee and his wife, Jewell, of Nashville; a brother, Clayton Whitmore of Norfolk, VA; two grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren.

RONALD "RONNIE" TAYLOR
Funeral services for Mr. Ronald "Ronnie" Taylor, 42, of Cookeville, will be conducted at 3 p.m. today, Wednesday, May 26, 2004, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville.
Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jim Moore and Bro. Johnny Fox officiating.
Mr. Taylor died Saturday, May 22 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a service technician for Coca-Cola Bottling Company for 10 years and a member of Trinity Assembly.
Born March 28, 1962, in Putnam County, he was the son of Joe L. Taylor of Cookeville and the late Peggy J. (Huddleston) Taylor.
Survivors, in addition to his father, include his wife, Denise (Schoettle) Taylor of Cookeville; a daughter, Tiffany Taylor of Memphis; a step-daughter, Jada Greenwood of Cookeville; a son, Daniel Taylor of Algood; a step-son, Michael Greenwood of Cookeville; a sister, Connie Birdwell of Bloomington Springs; and a grandchild, Kewandra Taylor.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby M. Vaughn, 73, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Rev. Donald Cobb officiating.
Mrs. Vaughn died Sunday, May 16 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a registered nurse and a member of First Baptist Church in Livingston.
Born July 10, 1930, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Effie (Collins) Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Huffer; and four brothers, Roe Evans, Ray Evans, Bob Evans, and Roy B. Evans.
Survivors include her husband, Derward Vaughn of Livingston; a son, Tim Vaughn and his wife, Tonya, of Livingston; two sisters, Reba Smith and Anna Gilpatrick, both of Chattanooga; and two grandchildren, Blake Vaughn and Savannah Vaughn, both of Livingston.
