RUTH MARIE (HEIDENREICH) SHAKE
Memorial services for Mrs. Ruth Marie (Heidenreich) Shake, 82, of the Poplar Springs Community, will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Dewey Glenn Masters officiating.

Mrs. Shake died Sunday, Aug. 8 at her home. She was a homemaker, a member of Sandborn United Methodist Church in Sandborn, IN, and Mother's Evening Homemakers Club in Indiana, and was affiliated with Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

Born September 4, 1921, in Westphalia, IN, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Irene (Stolting) Heidenreich. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Shake; and two brothers, Elmer "Bud" Heidenreich and Ralph Heidenreich.

Survivors include her husband, Doyle Shake of the Poplar Spring Community; two sons, Brent Shake of the Poplar Springs Community and Brad Shake and his wife, Robin, of Naples, IN; three daughters, Beth Phillips and her husband, Fred, of the Poplar Springs Community, Kay Ball and her husband, T.J., of Linton, IN, and Belinda Atlogic and her husband, John, of Oquawka, IL; a sister, Shirley Miller of Edwardport, IN; 9 grandchildren, Lisa Howard, Felicia Phillips, Lee Phillips, Adina Smock, Kimberly Nickless, Matthew Hollingsworth, Jim Shake, Justin Phillips, and Justin Ball; and 12 great grandchildren, Britney, Johnny, Paige, Ethan, Bethany, Kayla, Aspen, Taylor, Brady, Baily, Bonnie, and Cameron.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Poplar Springs Baptist Church or Lazarus House Hospice. Special care provided by Speck Funeral Home.

EDWARD WILLIAM RILEY
Funeral services for Mr. Edward William Riley, 81, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2004, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home.

Burial was in Good Hope cemetery with Bro. Aron Dillon officiating.

Mr. Riley died Wednesday, January 7 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a retired businessman.

He was born February 8, 1922, in Sneedville.

Survivors include a special friend and business partner, Pauline Bilbrey of Livingston; and several relatives.

Pallbearers were Charles Reed, W.C. Howell, David Nolen, Joseph Nolen, Bill Nolen, and David Hubbard.

KEITH EDWARD SEBERS
Memorial services for Mr. Keith Edward Sebers, 58, of Lavergne, were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2004, at Cash cemetery in Livingston with Pastor Jeff Oliver officiating.

Mr. Sebers died Tuesday, January 6 at his home. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Born June 16, 1945, he was the son of the late Haston and Bealuh (Langford) Sebers.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille (Shearls) Sebers; a son, William Sebers and his wife, Elizabeth; seven step-children, Diane Butler and Milton Shearls, both of Carthage, Angela Edwards of Nashville, Isaac Boles of Lebanon, Billy Boles of Murfreesboro, and Martha Williams and Miranda Williams, both of Lavergne; a sister, Lana Langford of Hilham; 14 step-grandchildren; and a great step-grandchild.

Special care provided by Wilson County Funeral Home in Lebanon.

DORA LEE HOLIFIELD STEWART
Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Lee (Holifield) Stewart, 61, of Cookeville, will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, June 18, 2003, from the chapel of Castlewood Funeral Home in Castlew

Mrs. Stewart died Friday, June 13 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was retired from Chrysler Corporation and attended Washington Avenue Baptist Church.

Born June 17, 1941, in Dickenson County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Bessie (Mann) Holifield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph Holifield, Howard Holifield, and Radford Holifield; and two sisters, Daffine Cooper and Edith Cornett.

Survivors include her husband, Earl Ray Stewart of Cookeville; a step-son, Robert "Bob" Stewart of Signal Mountain; two step-daughters, Rhonda Stewart of St. Clair Shores, MI, and Mary Beth Shirley of Cookeville; a brother, Thomas Holifield of Warren, MI; a sister, Alma Phillips and husband, Andy, of Castlewood; five grandchildren; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stewart's nephews served as the pallbearers.

CORA D. VAUGHN
Funeral services for Mrs. Cora D. Vaughn, 77, of Livingston, were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2003, from the chapel of Rickman-Hall Funeral Home. Burial was in Highland Mountain cemetery with Jerry Harris and Ovle Tinch officiating.

Mrs. Vaughn died Saturday, June 7 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She retired from Gobles Nursing Home in Indiana after working there for 25 years. She was a very special person, and she loved and cared for every person she knew.

rn June 29, 1925, in Brotherton, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Argen Texas (Haney) Mansell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Riley Mansell, Wesley Mansell, Mayford Mansell, and Littleton Mansell; and two great granddaughters, Cassandra Priest and Victoria Schmitt.

Survivors include her husband, Oren Vaughn of Livingston; three sons, James Vaughn of Anderson, IN, Dalles Vaughn of Moonville, IN, and Billy Vaughn of Livingston; a daughter, Susie Miller of Allen Town, PA; a brother, John Mansell of Rock Island; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Willard Mansell, John Mansell, Kenneth Mansell, Bill Vaughn, Johnny Mansell, and Kristian Mansell.

BETHEL G. WILLIAMSON
Funeral services for Mr. Bethel G. Williamson, 83, of Monroe, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial was in Green Hill cemetery with Rev. Newsome Harvey officiating.

Mr. Williamson died Tuesday, June 3 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was an electronics repairman and a member of Cave Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Alpine.

Born May 13, 1920, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Thomas and Ella (Crawford) Williamson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bill Williamson.

Survivors include his wife, Arta Williamson of Livingston; two granddaughters, Kim and Patty; and several nieces and nephews

CAPT. DAVID W. CARTER
Capt. David W. Carter of Celina Sheriff's Dept., age 53, went to be with his Lord Sunday, August 31, 2003, after an extended illness. He was born in Jackson, MI.

He devoted his life to martial arts and was trained with his respected and dearest friend David Hunter of Hunter's Total Fitness Center. He was an accomplished fourth degree Black Belt, a natural competitor, judge, and instructor for 22 years.

He was highly recognized and respected in the martial arts arena. He donated his time and talent to youth and started the Red Boiling Springs Hunter's Team for five years.

He served as a police officer for the City of Celina with dear friend Clint Hestand, Algood, Red Boiling Springs, and the 15th District Drug Task Force over the last 20 years, working as K-9 officer for nine years.

He was an active member of the Cookeville Seventh Day Adventist Church.

He is preceded in death by his father, David W. Carter, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Gladys M. Carter of Livingston; four sisters, Rachel Vaughn of Cookeville, Diane French of Jackson, MI, Zelda Moon of Livingston, and Margaret Meglich of Chattanooga; a brother, Nick Carter of the Dodson Branch Community; an uncle, Hubbie Carter; seven aunts, Joyce Ramsey, Robbie Tackett, Josephine Ward, Margaret Dishman, Carlee Bilbrey, Carol Howell, and Elaine Pitchner; and many loved cousins.

He is also survived by his beloved children, David W. Carter III, and Christine Carter, both of Philadelphia, PA, and John Derek Carter of Nashville; many loved nieces and nephews; wife, Mary Ellen; and many special friends and colleagues.

Services for Mr. Carter were Wednesday, September 3, 2003, at 10 a.m. from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were David Hunter, Clint Hestand, Clifford Carter, Gerald Carter Jr., Brandon Boone, and Brandon Carter.

JACK R. DUBREE
Funeral services for Mr. Jack R. Dubree, 67, of Smiths Grove, were conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2003, from the Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove chapel.

Burial was in Smiths Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Dubree died Saturday, August 9 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He was employed at Eaton Corporation, a member of Smiths Grove Baptist Church, and a member of the Livingston Masonic Lodge No. 259.

Born in 1936, in Overton County, he was the son of Lorene Lee Dubree of Livingston and the late Lansford Dubree.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Shelvie Buck Dubree; a daughter Lisa Dubree Goss and her husband, Rick, of Portland; a son, Steve Dubree and his wife, Tammy, of Bowling Green, KY; a brother, Ted Dubree of Livingston; and four grandchildren, Austin Dubree and Cassidy Dubree, both of Bowling Green, and Danielle Goss and Devon Goss, both of Portland.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions in honor of his granddaughter to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Attn: Debi Magnes, 1941 Bishop Lane, Suite 507, Louisville, KY, 40218.

JESSE E. HARRIS
Funeral services for Mr. Jesse E. Harris, 85, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2003, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home.

Burial was in Okolona cemetery with Bro. Donald Cobb officiating.

Mr. Harris died Thursday, September 4 at Livingston Regional Hospital after a short illness with cancer. He was a retired merchant working in the furniture industry and a member of First Baptist Church in Livingston. He was a veteran of the Army serving in World War II.

Born February 4, 1918, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Shirley and Oma (Breeding) Harris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jesse Ray Harris; a sister, Odell Lewis; and a brother, Carson Harris.

Survivors include his wife, Cleo (Bilbrey) Harris of Livingston; two daughters, Reba Spears and Christine Spear, both of Livingston; three sisters, Eudean Moore of Rickman, Dimple Williams of Byrdstown, and Opal Parrigin of Livingston; a brother, Horace Lee Harris of Rickman; three grandchildren, Bryan Spears, Kyle Spear, and Darian Spear; a great granddaughter, Kylie Spear; and nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Pallbearers were Kyle Spear, Darren Spear, Robert Moore, Ralph Moore, Roger Moore, and David Harris.

PAUL WILLIAM HARRIS
Funeral services for Mr. Paul William Harris, 78, of Allons, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2003, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home.

Burial was in Fellowship cemetery with Bro. Dewitt Sampley officiating.

Mr. Harris died Friday, September 5 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He retired from General Motors in Anderson, IN, in 1986, and was a member of Independence Community Church. He served in the United States Army during World War II.

Born February 19, 1925, in Overton County, he was the son of the late John and Earnest (Jones) Harris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Eula Harris; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Inis (Reagan) Harris of Allons; two step-daughters, Sandy Vaughn of Allons and Anita Hill of Muncie, IN; three step-sons, Jackie Taylor of Chesterfield, IN, Bobby Taylor of Hilham, and Donald Taylor of Allons; a sister, Eudean Hummel of Allons; a brother, Hubert Harris of Allons; and nine step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Danny Vaughn, Ronnie Harris, Royce Harris, Jerry Harris, Manuel Chevez, Michael Sidwell, Johnny Harris, and Nicky Harvey.

JUANITA HOLDER
Funeral services for Mrs. Juanita Holder, 75, of Warren County, will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, September 10, 2003, from the chapel of Love-Cantrell & Cope Funeral Home in McMinnville.

Burial was in Charles Creek cemetery with Henry "Hank" Brewer officiating.

Mrs. Holder died Sunday, September 7 at River Park Hospital. She was a housewife and of the Jehovah's Witness faith.

Born September 25, 1927, in Warren County, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Fanny Mae Dodd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Dodd and Joe Melton Dodd; and a sister, Willie M. Marlow.

Survivors include her husband, John B. Holder; a step-daughter, Elsi Lynn Ervin of Boyle MS; four brothers, Brown Dodd and Richard Dickie Dodd, both of McMinnville, Herbert Dodd of Murfreesboro, and Robert Dodd of Detriot, MI; four sisters, Louis Lyle and Margeret Moore, both of Murfreesboro, Janie Bailey of Houston, TX, and Johnnie Faye Prater of McMinnville; a step-grandchild, Jim Ervin; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

LOLA BELLE (BROOM) JUDD
Funeral services for Mrs. Lola Belle (Broom) Judd, 86, of Doyle, were conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2003, from Greenwood Baptist Church.

Burial was in Greenwood cemetery in Doyle with Lloyd Kerr and Garvin Haley officiating.

Mrs. Judd died Monday, September 1 at Life Care Center of Sparta. She worked in Social Services at L.B.J.&C.

Born January 17, 1917, in White County, she was the daughter of the late W.B. and Daisy (Harris) Broom. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edd Judd; a daughter, Daisy McDole; two infant daughters; a son, Jimmy Judd; and two sisters, Lena Knight and Alyne Morris.

Survivors include four sons, Frank Judd and his wife, Glory, and Johnny Judd and his wife, Gail, all of Sparta, Bill Edd Judd and his wife, Jane, of Doyle, and Rob Judd and his wife, Frankie, of Smithville; eight daughters, Frances Holcomb and her husband, Paul, of Dunlap, Sue Jones of Rock Island, Becky Martin and her husband, Billy, of Livingston, Carolyn Smith and her husband, Don, Joyce Jones, Ruthie Kelsey and her husband, Jerry, and Kathy Driver and her husband, Mark, all of Sparta, and Lena Humphrey and her husband, Allen, of Walling; a sister, Helen Allen of Kentucky; 43 grandchildren; 65 great grandchildren; and 28 great-great grandchildren.
