CHARLIE F. "Bill" MELTON
Funeral services for Mr. Charlie F. "Bill" Melton, 67, of Anderson, IN, were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2003, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home.
Burial was in Fellowship cemetery with Bro. Ken Collins officiating.
Mr. Melton died Sunday, August 31 at his home. He was a punch press operator at Barber Mfg. in Anderson for 33 years and a member of the Church of Christ.
Born December 21, 1935, in Clay County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Della Mae (Thrasher) Melton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Reginia Melton; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Betty (Hummel) Melton of Anderson; two daughters, Marlene Vaness of Anderson and Revinia Melton of Kokomo, IN; four sons, Darrell Melton and his wife, Mildred, of Lady Lake, FL, Todd Melton and his wife, Andrea, Roger Melton, and Jeff Melton, all of Anderson; seven sisters, Elizabeth Richardson of Livingston, Bonnie Shipley of Celina, Ruby Hurley and Wanda Craves and husband, Bennie, all of Anderson, Tommie Adams and her husband, Art, and Helen Ledbetter and her husband, Raymond, all of Plainfield, IN, and Christene Brown of Bedford, IN; a brother, James Melton and his wife, Carol, of Livingston; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Mark Ledbetter, Mike Ledbetter, Rocky Dial, Paul Brown, Johnny Sidwell, Ricky Simmons, Dennis Vanness, and Pat Ledbetter.

EARL PATRICK MYERS
Funeral services for Mr. Earl Patrick Myers, 82, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Rev. Hillier Duke officiating.
Mr. Myers died Wednesday, September 3 at his home. He retired from the Printing Department at Tennessee Tech and loved to fish. He was of the Methodist faith and a veteran of the United States Army 100th Infantry during World War II.
Born January 17, 1921, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Luther Jackson and Sally Edith (Smith) Myers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo (Evans) Myers; a son, Joe Pat Myers; a sister, Edna Smith; and three brothers, Luther Myers, Tracy Myers, and A.B. Myers.
Survivors include a son, Jack Myers and his wife, Debbie, of St. Louis, MO; a daughter, Beth Shell and her husband, Darren, of Allons; four sisters, Callie Melton and Betty Ashburn, both of Cookeville, Mary Barker of Sparta, and Marjorie Deck of Maryville; and a granddaughter, Lauren Shell of Allons.
Pallbearers were Wayne Netherton, Bob Richardson, John Myers, Roy Ferguson, Kenneth Allen, and Larry Shell.

IRIS DELORIS WOODY
Funeral services for Mrs. Iris Deloris, 69, of Hilham, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2003, from the chapel of Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, OH.
Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park, located in East Liverpool with Morris McMaster officiating.
Mrs. Woody died Monday, September 8 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She worked in a pottery factory and was a nurses' aide in West Virginia and a member of the Church of Nazarene. Born September 28, 1933, in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John Franklin and Huldah (Ayers) Morton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Woody.
Survivors include a daughter, Cindy McMaster and her husband, Morris, of Hilham; a brother, John Franklin Morton of East Palestine, OH; two sisters, Mary Newlan of East Liverpool and Shirley Montgomery of Wellsville, OH, and two granddaughters, Alicia Linder and her husband, Josh, of Livingston, and Michelle Tarnovich of Hilham.

DENA DENMAN HANCOCK
Graveside services for Mrs. Dena (Denman) Hancock, 55, of Walterboro, SC, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, September 3, 2003, from Hancock cemetery with Bro. John Copeland officiating.
Mrs. Hancock died Saturday, Aug. 30 at her home. She was a tax preparer.
Born November 9, 1947, in Anniston, AL, she was the daughter of Julia (Price) Denman Crain of Goose Creek, S.C., and the late Gail Crain.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include a son, Damon Juan Hancock and his fiance, Leigh Anne Grooms, of Cookeville; a daughter, Karawan Galena Salais and her husband, Raymen, of Denton, TX; a step-sister, Peggy Ladouceur of Winter Haven, FL; two grandchildren, Marisa Nicole Salais and Brandon Andrew Salais; and a special friend, Dean Neal Braden of Walterboro.

SHERLENE MCCORMICK
Funeral services for Miss Sherlene McCormick, 48, of Livingston, were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, September 1, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Hoover cemetery with Rev. Jerry McCloud officiating.
Miss McCormick died Friday, August 29 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was an LPN and a member of Allons-Bethel Assembly of God.
Born July 3, 1955, in Anderson, IN, she was the daughter of the late Miles Herman Jr. and Sara Ina (Carr) McCormick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Steve McCormick.
Survivors include a sister, Janice Bowers and her husband, Johnny, of Livingston; a niece, Jennifer Padgett of Livingston; a nephew, Greg Bowman of Livingston; a great niece, Alexis Hargis of Livingston; and a sister-in-law, Connie McCormick of Livingston.
Pallbearers David Garrett, Greg Ledbetter, James Handy, Royce Ledbetter, Mike Hobbs, James Hutchisson, Nathan Carr, and Joel Garrett.

RAY L. MAXWELL
Funeral services for Mr. Ray L. Maxwell, 85, of Hilham, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Hilham cemetery with Bro. Robert Boles and Bro. Kerry Duke officiating.
Mr. Maxwell died Wednesday, Aug. 6 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a member of West End Church of Christ.
Born August 13, 1917, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Burr and Etta (Bilyeu) Maxwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Grady Maxwell.
Survivors include his wife, Olean Maxwell of Hilham; two sons, Tommy Maxwell of Hilham and Tim Maxwell of Livingston; a sister, Zua McCormick of Livingston; three grandchildren, Tyler Maxwell, Michael Maxwell, and Candy Lewis; and two great grandchildren, Shelby Lewis and Caleb Maxwell.
Pallbearers were Frank Ward, Charles Parrott, Billy Sullivan, Mark Maxwell, Charles Maxwell, and Fred Riley.

MARVIN AMOS MOSS
Funeral services for Mr. Marvin Amos Moss, 72, of Baxter, will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2003, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville.
Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Bro. Joe Roysden, Bro. Burdette Randolph, Bro. Carson Whiteaker, and Bro. Johnny Marshall officiating.
Mr. Moss died Sunday, Aug. 10 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was an employee of the United States Department of Agriculture's Farm Services Agency (formerly ASCS) since 1954, attended Lily's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, and graduated from Upperman Seminary.
Born March 1, 1931, in Overton County, he was the son of the late E.J. "Jack" and Dollie (York) Moss. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Reba (Mrs. Bill) Hart; and a brother-in-law, Olan Maxwell.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Louise (Apple) Moss of Baxter; a daughter, Linda (Moss) Mines and husband, Tony, of Chattanooga; a brother, Charlie T. Moss of Warren, MI; three sisters, Gerldine Hedgecough and husband, Zina, and Myrtle Maxwell, all of Baxter, and Louise Herren and husband, Odis, of Dayton, OH; and two grandchildren, Jessica Eras Mines and Jason Anthony Mines, both of Chattanooga.
Pallbearers will be Bill Herren, Donald Jones, Scott Chadwell, Gary Brewington, Dale Moss, Donald Moss, Dewey Moss, Bill Moss, Bob Apple, and Ronnie Gaither.

MAXINE (LYON) ARNEY
Funeral services for Mrs. Maxine (Lyon) Arney, 76, of Nashville and formerly of Jamestown, will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, September 22, 2004, at Jamestown United Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Taylor Place cemetery in Jamestown with Rev. David Rainey and Rev. Jim Capps officiating.
Mrs. Arney died Friday, September 17 at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage. She was a member of Donelson Heights United Methodist Church.
Born October 23, 1927, in Topeka, KS, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Lela (Hembree) Lyon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Paul Arney Sr.
Survivors include two sons, Christopher Arney of Murfreesboro and James Paul Arney Jr. and wife, Jacquelyn, of Foster City, CA; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Arney's family and friends served as pallbearers.

PEGGY (OGLETREE) CLABORN
Mrs. Peggy (Ogletree) Claborn, 67, of Apache, OK, died Tuesday, September 7 in Lawton, OK. She was the owner of a restaurant.
Burial was in Apache, with services held at First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Born January 7, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Hobert and Ellen (Cravens) Ogletree. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby G. Claborn; a brother, Grady Ogletree; and two sisters, Mary Lutzweit and Ruth Evans.
Survivors include a son, Bobby Claborn and his wife, Christy; two sisters, Betty (Ogletree) Bowling of Livingston and Anna Sue Densmore of Fortville, IN; a granddaughter, Bobbie Gene Claborn; and several nieces and nephews.
ROCKY LANE COPAS
Funeral services for Mr. Rocky Lane Copas, 45, of Celina, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2004, from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Celina.
Burial was in Leonard cemetery in Clay County with Ronnie Parsons officiating.
Mr. Copas died Saturday, September 11 at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina. Born May 1, 1959, in Clay County, he was the son of the late Cordell and Florence (Tooley) Copas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tim Copas and Roger Copas.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Ritter Copas of Oak Grove and Rocky Alen Copas of Celina; a daughter, Heather Renae Copas of Bowling Green, KY; two brothers, J.W. Copas of Hermitage Springs and Charles Copas of Red Boiling Springs; and five sisters, Kathlen Wiskion of Lafayette, Judy Smith of Celina, Ruth Cherry of Mt. Vernon, Linda Price of Hermitage Springs, and Rebecca Smith of Celina.

ALLIE E. COPELAND
Funeral services for Mrs. Allie E. Copeland, 85, of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Bro. James Thrasher and Bro. Bobby Gore officiating. Chris Coil served as song director.
Mrs. Copeland died Monday, September 13 at Livingston Regional Hospital. A retired sales clerk from a dry goods store, she was a homemaker and a member of Livingston Church of Christ.
Born September 16, 1918, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Claiborn and Norah (Savage) Gore. Survivors include her husband, Curtis A. Copeland of Livingston; two daughters, Joyce South and Sue Eldridge, both of Livingston; a grandson, Larry Eldridge Jr. of Livingston; a granddaughter, Katie Stubblefield of Long Beach, CA; and a great granddaughter, Aleia Eldridge of Livingston.
Pallbearers were Doyle Carr, Donald Carr, Billy Joe Holt, Lewis Paul Webb, Dale Mars, and Delon Robbins.

Burial was in Anderson Memorial Park cemetery with Rev. Paul Savage officiating.
Mrs. Edwards died Saturday, September 18 at Countryside Nursing Home in Anderson.
Born November 10, 1934, in Overton County, she was the daughter of Avo (Carr) Cantrell and the late Clayton Cantrell.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include six sons, Bobby Edwards, Dennis Edwards, Jerry Edwards, Johnny Edwards, Jeffrey Edwards, and Michael Edwards; a daughter, Faye Britt; a brother, Earl Cantrell; 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
