Funeral services for Mrs. Estelle (Parris) Mullins, 93, of Byrdstown, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2003, at Calvary Bible Church.
Burial was in Calvary cemetery with Bro. Travis Simpson, Bro. Charles Gibbs, and Bro. Ivan Raley officiating.
Mrs. Mullins died Tuesday, September 9 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a homemaker and a piano teacher who loved music.
Born February 8, 1910, in Pickett County, she was the daughter of the late Charles B. "Charley" Parris and Hester Elizabeth "Hattie" Groce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Mullins; an infant son, Charles Elbert Mullins; a brother, Eugene Parris; and a sister, Elise Booher.
Survivors include a daughter, Kay Elder and her husband, Bill Wilborn; two sons, Bob Mullins and his wife, Dimple, and Forrest Mullins; 8 grandchildren, Janet Keisling, Debbie Cross, Linda Crouch, Joy Shewmake, John Mullins, Charles Mullins, Ernie Elder, and Kenny Elder; 15 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bertie Lou Presley, 92, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2003, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home.
Burial was in Okolona cemetery with Bro. Eugene McCowan officiating.
Mrs. Presley died Monday, September 8 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a housewife and of the Baptist faith.
Born January 1, 1911, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late William and Annie (Matthews) Hammock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Bedford Presley; three brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Anna Lee Wilson of Livingston; two sons, Harold Presley of Sparta and James Presley of Nashville; a sister, Georgia Stewart of Rickman; two half-sisters, Vonda Cooper of Glasgow, KY, and Joyce Coffman of Livingston; three half-brothers, Clyde Hammock of Austin, TX, Roy Hammock of Hilham, and Ray Hammock of Livingston; 11 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bryant Presley, Jerry Wilson, Carlos Wilson, Randy Wilson, Michael Wilson, and Anthony Wilson.

Funeral services for Mrs. Esther M. Stults, 95, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2003, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
Burial was in Bethlehem cemetery with Rev. Nolen Bronson officiating.
Mrs. Stults died Thursday, September 11 in Marietta, GA. She was a garment factory worker, a housewife, and a member of Bethlehem Methodist Church.
Born March 23, 1908, in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of the late Edd and Anner (Franklin) Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude L. Stults; two sisters, Edith Wolfe and Talmadge Qualls; and a brother, Aaron "Bill" Brown.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Stults and his wife, Cathy, of Marietta, and Ltc. "R" Claude Stults Jr. and his wife, Mary Kaye, of Fairfax Station, VA; a sister, Ethel Lewis of Livingston; six grandchildren, Todd, Neal, Michael James, Michael Scott, Billy II, and John; two grandchildren-in-law, Becky and Brenda; three great grandchildren, Matt, Chris, and Scotty; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Stults' grandsons served as pallbearers.

Mrs. Smith died Tuesday, April 8 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a housewife.
Born August 1, 1929, in Pickett County, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Rosie Mae (Sells) Gunter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Smith; a son, James Smith; and two grandchildren, Angela and Jamie.
Survivors include a son, Ricky Smith of Monroe; two daughters, Helen Brunson of Adairville, KY, and Barbara Vaughn of Monroe; 5 grandchildren, Kevin, Robin, Tracy, Lisa, and Steve; and 10 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Smith died Tuesday, April 8 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of Wirmingham Church of Christ.
Born June 26, 1900, in Clay County, she was the daughter of Hampton and Mary (Smith) Daniels. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Allard Smith; three children, Robert Junior Smith, Dinzle Smith, and Beatrice Rovani; and brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Cleatrice Wehrli and husband, Leonard, of Philadelphia, PA, and Alfrieda Smith of Monroe; four sons, Lonzo Smith and wife, Linda, Allard Smith and wife, Bonza, and Bethel Smith and wife, Emogene, all of Monroe, and R.D. Smith and wife, Cathy, of Brownsville, NJ; a half-brother, Orville Daniels of Rickman; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

JAMES LARRY WHITE
Funeral services for Mr. James Larry White, 65, of Monroe, were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Mr. White died Sunday, September 21 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a retired carpenter and affiliated with the Christian church.
Born October 7, 1937, in Overton County, he was the son of the late George and Della (Wright) White. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Doyle "Buck" White.
Survivors include his wife, Grace White of Monroe; a brother, Lloyd White of Livingston; and two sisters, Norma Jean Johnson of Livingston and Polly Dishman of Monroe.
Pallbearers were Barry Johnson, Mike Johnson, Jerry White, Brandon Robbins, Ralph Robbins, and Clinton Linder.

MARGARET MARY WHITED
Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Mary Whited, 62, of Monroe, were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, September 22, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Whited died Thursday, September 18 at her home. She was a restaurant owner and of the Catholic faith.
Born October 10, 1940, in Indiana, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Holiday Mitchell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Whited; a sister, Donna Coomey; and a brother, Bob Mitchell.
Survivors include three sons, Anthony Black and Billy Whited, both of Monroe, TN, and Ricky Black of Carlton, MI; two daughters, Jackie Mainzinger of Monroe, MI, and Samantha Winningham of Monroe, TN; 12 grandchildren; and a great grandchild.

Mrs. Mullins died Monday, March 31 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a housewife and a member of Trinity Assembly of God.
Born May 24, 1936, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Vadis and Hattie Nevins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Del Mullins; two brothers, Bob Nivens and Archie Nivens; a sister; Bobbie Nivens; and a granddaughter, Amanda Swafford.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Swafford of Cookeville and Mark Mullins of Newport Richie, FL; two daughters, Janie Naselroad of Anderson, IN, and Tammy Shock of Cookeville; two grandsons, Steven Shock of Cookeville and Tommy Naselroad of Anderson; and two great grandchildren, Katie Shock and Gavin Norrod.

WILLIE HUGH "BILL" ROBBINS
Funeral services for Mr. Willie Hugh "Bill" Robbins, 95, of the Timothy Community in Overton County, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial was in McFerrin cemetery with Rev. Rick Frazier and Rev. Jerry Randle officiating.
Mr. Robbins died Monday, March 31 at Overton County Nursing Home. He was a farmer and a member of McFerrin United Methodist Church.
Born September 16, 1907, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Wid and Floretta (Upton) Robbins.
Survivors include five sons, Cleston Robbins, Wilburn Robbins, Houston Robbins, and Leon Robbins, all of the Timothy Community, and Delon Robbins of Livingston; two daughters, Odean Davis of the Timothy Community and Helen Gray of Rickman; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Michael Robbins, Stephen Robbins, Tim Robbins, Terry Robbins, Morgan Robbins, Paul Robbins, Eldon Davis, and Tommy Feaster.

ZACHRY C. SMITH
Funeral services for Mr. Zachry C. Smith, 77, of Monroe, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Wirmingham cemetery with Bro. Randy Maynord officiating. Mr. Smith died Wednesday, September 24 at Livingston Regional Hospital.
He was a machinist, a member of Freedonia Community Church, a veteran of the United States Army, and a member of the VFW. Born May 3, 1926, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Henry Clay Lena F. (Richardson) Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Qualls.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie (Ledbetter) Smith of Monroe; two sons, Henry Clay Smith and his wife, Tammy, and Billy Smith and his wife, Vickie, all of Monroe; a brother, Claude Smith of Cincinnati, OH; three grandchildren, Christina Marie Frango of Franklin, OH, Zachry C. Smith II of Cincinnati, and Cheyenne Rose Smith of Livingston; three great grandchildren, Jennifer Frango, Jessica Frango, and Tamra Rose Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

BEATRICE EULENE STRAUB
Mrs. Beatrice Eulene Straub, 71, of Cookeville, died Thursday, September 25, 2003, at Bethesda Healthcare Center. She was retired from C&M Clothing.
Born August 8, 1932, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late George and Beulah (Lee) Edmonds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Dodson; her first husband, Sanford Dodson; and a brother, Arnold Edmonds.
Survivors include her husband, William Straub of Cookeville; two sons, Ronald Dodson and his wife, Nancy, of Cookeville and Randall Dodson of Livingston; two brothers, Bill Edmonds and his wife, Bonnie, and James Edmonds, all of Cookeville; three sisters, Willene Kirby and her husband, Bob, and Bonnie Moody, all of Livingston, and Maybelle Manis and her husband, James, of Cookeville; four grandchildren, Ronda Church, Kerrie Tallent, Ginger Dodson, and Phillip Dodson; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
