Arvel Keith "Darb" Cooper
Funeral services for Mr. Arvel Keith "Darb" Cooper, 48, of Alpine, were conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial was in Beaty cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Dixon officiating.
Mr. Cooper died Wednesday, Feb. 5 at his home. He was a cement truck driver for IMI Irvin Material Corporation and of the Baptist faith.
Born April 18, 1954, in Overton County, he was the son of Anna Ruth (Smith) Cooper of Indianapolis, IN, and the late Lester Orvel Cooper.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Judy Cooper of Alpine; a daughter, Amy Cooper of Livingston; four brothers, Bill Cooper, Richard Cooper, Johnny Cooper, and Tommy Cooper, all of Indianapolis; and a granddaughter, Taylor Hastings.
Pallbearers were Bill Cooper, Richard Cooper, Johnny Cooper, Tommy Cooper, Terry Copeland, and Randy Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers were Jeff Story, Jamie Crabtree, Donnie Smith, Steve Cooper, Raymond Cooper, and Dustin Cooper.

OMA (LOOPER) BOWMAN
Funeral services for Mrs. Oma (Looper) Bowman, 90, of Cookeville, were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2003, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey.
Burial was in Hanging Limb cemetery with Rev. Dow Allen, Rev. David Harris, and Rev. Ovle Tinch officiating.
Mrs. Bowman died Tuesday, November 4 at NHC Healthcare of Cookeville. She was a wonderful mother, homemaker, seamstress, and farmer. She was a member of Three Forks Missionary Baptist Church for 65 years, joining with her husband in October 1938.
Born March 14, 1913, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Millie Jane (Norrod) Looper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Ivor Bowman, who passed away December 6, 1994; three grandchildren, Dwayne Bowman, Vicky Bowman, and Mikey Bilbrey; a great grandson, Dylan Bilbrey; two brothers, Willie Looper and Oather Looper; a sister, Clarice Little; and three infant sisters.
Survivors include three daughters, Treva Nelson and her husband, Benton, and Shelia Wilson and her husband, Johnny, all of Cookeville, and Jenell Bilbrey and her husband, M.J., of Monterey; two sons, Hoyt Bowman and his wife, Lera, of Orlando, FL, and Dale Bowman and his wife, Deanie, of Cookeville; eight grandchildren, Lisa Miller and her husband, Rex, Karen Way and her husband, Rick, Brian Bilbrey and his wife, Paula, Miranda Bilbrey, Ben Wilson and his wife, Celena, Darrell Nelson, Amber Bowman, and Susan Pato and her husband, Ivan; and great grandchildren, Sara Miller, Nathan Miller, Daniel Miller, Samantha Way, Tyler Way, Trevor Way, Jacey Bilbrey, Samuel Bilbrey, Mariah Bilbrey, Andrew and Ivor Fate Wilson, and Megan and Justin Pato.
Pallbearers were Darrell Nelson, Brian Bilbrey, Ben Wilson, Rex Miller, Terry Bowman, and Hughie Oakley.

SETH COPELAND
Memorial services for Mr. Seth Copeland, 65, of Livingston, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2003, at First Christian Church in Livingston with Dr. David Moore and Dr. Lyle Anderson officiating.
Mr. Copeland died Monday, November 3 at his home. He was a carpenter, a member of First Christian Church in Livingston, and a member of Livingston Jaycees Exhausted Roosters.
Born May 7, 1938, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Earl and Minnie Belle (Waites) Copeland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mont Copeland.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Copeland of Livingston; a son, Chris Copeland and his wife, Kim, of Livingston; a daughter, Melody Melton and her husband, Jack, of Monroe; three brothers, Keith Copeland of Alabama, Thomas Wayne Copeland of Middlesboro, KY, and Michael Copeland of Livingston; two sisters, Trelba Carlock of Livingston and Mary Alice Holman of Florence, AL; a granddaughter, Natashia Melton of Monroe; and two grandsons, Terrence Melton of Monroe and Oakley Copeland of Livingston.

Funeral services for Mrs. Florence O. Davis, 83, of Nashville and formerly of Hilham, were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Davis died Thursday, November 2 at Summit Medical Center in Nashville. She was a homemaker and affiliated with the Church of God.
Born April 28, 1920, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Canarda and Allie (Neely) Lee.
Survivors include a son, Bobby G. Davis of Nashville; a daughter, Sandy Rafferty of Raleigh, NC; a special friend, Luther Blackman of Nashville; a brother, F.T. Lee of Hilham; two sisters, Johnnie Lee and Jessie Arney, both of Nashville; a granddaughter, Lindsey Danielle Neal and her husband, Michael, of Rochester Hill, MI; and a grandson, Bobby Ray Davis of Pigeon Forge.

Funeral services for Mr. W. Scott Farley, 68, of Oil City, LA, were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2003, at First Baptist Church in Oil City.

Mr. Farley died Friday, November 7 at his home.
Born June 19, 1935, in Rickman, he was the son of the late Olen and Bessie Farley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Cody T. Farley.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy Farley of Oil City; a son, R. Scott Farley and his wife, Elaine, of Tulsa, OK; two daughters, Robin Howell and her husband, Ronnie, of Bossier City, LA, and Sherry Campbell and her husband, Mitch, of Deatsville, AL; a sister, Janice Finley and her husband, Ralph, of Cookeville; a brother, Dale Farley and his wife, June, of Rickman; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Onas Harvey, 88, of Monroe, were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2003, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home.

Mr. Harvey died Saturday, November 8 at Alvin C. York Veterans Hospital in Murfreesboro. He was a farmer, a member of Free Communion Church of Christ, and served in the United States Army during World War II.
Born December 10, 1914, in Clay County, he was the son of the late J.T. and Cordelia Byrd (Heard) Harvey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Leon Harvey; two brothers, Grady Harvey and Edward Harvey; and two sisters, Lola Taylor and Pearl Clark.
Survivors include his wife, Floy (Carter) Harvey of Monroe; three daughters, Louise Copeland and her husband, Leonard, of Hilham, Lisa Medley and her husband, Larry, of Baxter, and Linda Rodgers and her husband, Ronnie, of Smithville; a son, Larry Harvey and his wife, June, of Allons; a sister, Mary Lou Reeder of Anderson, IN; a brother, Roy Harvey of Monroe; six grandchildren; and several other family members and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Beaty, 84, of the Crossroads Community near Monterey, were conducted at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2004, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey.
Burial was in Welch Memorial cemetery with Pastor Arlen Bryant officiating.
Mrs. Beaty died Friday, April 16 at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville. She was a homemaker and a member of New Life Christian Fellowship World Wide Church of God.
Born July 10, 1919, in Fentress County, she was the daughter of the late Huge and Louisa (Brown) Hicks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Beaty, on May 27, 2003.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Etta Bowman, 89, of the Union B Community near Monterey, were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2004, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey.

Mrs. Bowman died Thursday, April 15 at Overton County Nursing Home. She was a homemaker and a member of Union Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
Born June 8, 1914, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late McKinnley and Ida (Murphy) Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bluford Bowman; a son, Bluford Bowman Jr.; two sisters, Ethel Buckner and Floreen Martin; three brothers, Lozier Phillips, Homer Phillips, and Thurston Phillips; two grandchildren, Veronica Peterman and Justin Hargis; and a son-in-law, Fred Peterman.
Survivors include three daughters, Velma Hargis and her husband, Odell, of the Union B Community, Juanita Cook and her husband, Mack, of Mt. Juliet, and Anita Peterman of Livingston; a daughter-in-law, Norma Jean Bowman of the Union B Community; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

CLIFTON "TUT" H. FORD
Funeral services for Mr. Clifton "Tut" H. Ford, 84, of Cookeville, were conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2004, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Baxter.

Mr. Ford died Sunday, April 18 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a shovel operator for Putnam County Highway Department.
Born April 13, 1920, in Richmond, VA, he was the son of the late Joe Dow and Alice (Hayes) Ford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Jimmie Lee (Vickers) Ford; a daughter, Janet Ford; a sister, Christine Bates; and three brothers, George N. Ford, J.D. Ford, and Travis Ford.
Survivors include a daughter, Euneeda Malone and her husband, Michael, of Cookeville; a son, Terry P. Ford and his wife, Pamelia, of Cookeville; two brothers, Kenneth Ford of Cookeville and Donald Ford of Monroe; five grandchildren; Terry L. Ford, Windy Cheryl Kutrich, April Dawn Carlile, Christopher Malone, and Loria Malone; and six great grandchildren, Jessica Kutrich, Shannon Kutrich, Ryan Kutrich, Seaira Ford, Skyra Ford, and Serenity Carlile.

Leslie John Hagens
Funeral services for Mr. Leslie John Hagens, 82, of Monroe, were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2004, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home.
Burial was in Okolona cemetery with Rev. Roger Paavola officiating.
Mr. Hagens died Saturday, April 17 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a trainmaster for the railroad and served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He was of the Lutheran faith.
Born February 19, 1922, in Yokum, TX, he was the son of the late Erwin and Lisa (Schemoce) Hagens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Melton Hagens.
Survivors include his wife, Jolene (Carr) Hagens of Monroe; three daughters, Connie Palmor of Dear Park, TX, Lisa Marie Istre of Portland, TX, and Lasetta Hagens of Corpis Christi, TX; a son, Tony Ray Hagens of San Antonio, TX; a brother, Lee Roy Hagens of Corpis Christi; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

ORAL RAY HALL
Memorial services for Mr. Oral Ray Hall, 76, of Port Charlotte, FL, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2004, at Port Charlotte Church of Christ.
Interment will be at Holly Springs Church of Christ in Livingston on Sunday, April 25 at 2 p.m.
Mr. Hall died Tuesday, April 13 at his home. He received his education from Tennessee Technological University at Cookeville and Western Michigan University at Kalamazoo, MI, where he prepared for a career in education. During his 35 years in education, he was a classroom teacher for 33 years in the Battle Creek, MI, area, president of a school board for 3 years, and headmaster of Pennyrile Christian Academy in Hopkinsville, KY, for more than 2 years. While headmaster, he was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel for his outstanding leadership in education.
He was a faithful Christian most of his adult life. While working to support himself, he worked with many small congregations of the Church of Christ in Michigan and northern Indiana. He served his local congregation in Battle Creek as an elder for 20 years. After his retirement in education, he preached full-time for congregations in Kentucky, Michigan, and Florida.
He also served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of Port Charlotte American Legion.
Born May 11, 1927, in Overton County, he was the seventh of 12 children born to the late Joseph William and Lizzie E. (Davis) Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and five brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn (Frazier) Hall of Florida; four children by a previous marriage, Jackie Shea and Mary Hall, both of Michigan, Sandi Swan of Indiana, and Ray Hall of Texas; two brothers, Roy H. Hall and Willie C. Hall of Old Hickory; three sisters, Mary M. Edison of Lavergne, Bertie Worley of Springfield, and Sue Flood of Union City; several grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
