LEONARD O. WARD
Funeral services for Mr. Leonard O. Ward, 86, of Hilham, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Robert Boles officiating.
Mr. Ward died Friday, November 8 at Overton County Nursing Home. He worked in road construction and farming, and was a member of West End Church of Christ. He was a member of the Overton County Board of Education under Superintendents Thomas Parrigin and Thurman Crawford and a member of the County Court for 18 years.
Born August 28, 1917, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Grover C. and Laura B. (Upton) Ward. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn (Craft) Ward; and a granddaughter, Donna Turner and her husband, Brian.
Survivors include a son, Frank Ward and his wife, Beth, of Livingston; four daughters, Rose Parrott and her husband, Charles, and Cathy Sullivan and her husband, Bill, all of Livingston, Judy Riley and her husband, Fred, of Glasgow, KY, and Jennie Pike and her husband, Bill, of Mooresville, IN; two sisters, Ozella Ward of Livingston and Olene Maxwell of Hilham; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Reggie Reeder, Gib Jolley, Jason Copeland, Mark Holland, Danny Johnson, and Randy Nuckols.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hilham cemetery or Fisk Cemetery.

BERTHA E. ALLEN
Funeral services for Ms. Bertha E. Allen, 83, of Cookeville, were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2003, at Allen's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
Burial was in Allen's Chapel cemetery with Rev. H.S. Brown officiating.
Ms. Allen died Saturday, October 25 at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of Allen's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
Born May 20, 1920, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Campbell and Ida (Master) Allen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dallas Allen; and two half-sisters, Amie Taylor and Effie Allen.
Survivors include two brothers, Odis Allen of Cookeville and Haskell Allen of Hilham.

ELMER ESTON GAW JR.
Funeral services for Mr. Elmer Eston Gaw Jr., 67, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Hilham cemetery with Bro. Kerry Duke officiating.
Mr. Gaw died Sunday, October 3 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was an auto mechanic and a member of West End Church of Christ.
Born April 16, 1937, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Elmer E. Sr. and Reba (Coffman) Gaw. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Gaw.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Gaw and Crit Gaw, both of Livingston; a daughter, Darlene Carr of Livingston; and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Josh Gaw, Randall Penticuff, Thomas Edwards, Bobby Carr, Curtis Edwards, and Jamie Vaughn.

DELLA MAE MACE
Funeral services for Mrs. Della Mae Mace, 88, of Hilham, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mace died Sunday, October 10 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a housewife and attended Hilham Church of God.
Born April 20, 1916, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Titus and Louisa (Greenwood) Hammock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Arlin Mace; two sons, Roy Mace and Junior Mace; two daughters, Thelma Jean Mace and Bonnie Mace; four brothers, Thomas Hammock, Elmer Hammock, Mitchell Hammock, and Bea Hammock; three sisters, Florence Hammock, Iva Hammock, and Annie Boles; a grandson, Sherman Sevier; three great-great grandchildren; and two sons-in-law, Wilburn Sevier and Donnie Hamilton.
Survivors include three sons, Ray Mace and his wife, Clairce, of Watertown, William "Bill" Mace of Cookeville, and Lonnie Mace of Hilham; five daughters, Ruth Dillon and her husband, Clyde, Velma Cox, and Norma Hamilton and her husband, Joe Lee, all of Hilham, Jean Sevier and her husband, Mike, of Lebanon, and Linda Sevier of Brush Creek; a daughter-in-law, Wilma (Mace) Caufer; two brothers, Luther Hammock of Hilham and Arvil Hammock of Celina; a sister, Ova Barlow of Hilham; 24 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.

JERRY LAWTON MARTIN
Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Lawton Martin, 64, of Kill Devils Hill, NC, and formerly of Overton County, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Martin cemetery with Rev. Craig Green officiating.
Mr. Martin died Wednesday, October 6 at Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA. He was an insurance salesman and a United States Army veteran. He attended Victory Baptist Church.
Born January 11, 1940, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Frank Truman and Lola (Vann) Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janetta Renshaw.
Survivors include his wife, Kitty Martin of Mechanicsville, VA; a daughter, Sabrina Melton and her husband, Matthew, of New Kent, VA; a step-son, Robert Lawrence of Ruffin, NC; two brothers, Frank Martin and James Martin, both of Livingston; two sisters, Novine Stockton of Livingston and Geraldine Burton of Rome, GA; and a grandson, Aiden Vann Melton.

CHARLES THOMAS NEELY
Graveside services for Master Charles Thomas Neely, infant, of Algood, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 2004, at Maxwell Chapel cemetery with Bro. Paul Stringer officiating.
Master Neely died Monday, October 4 at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville.
Born October 4, 2004, at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, he was the son of Rick and Wendy Neely. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Buddy Neely.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his grandparents, Tom and Patricia Maulding of Monterey, Carl Hill of Livingston, and Lois Neely of Algood; and his twin sister, Cindy Nichole Neely.

JAMES CARLIE "TOM" REAGAN
Funeral services for Mr. James Carlie "Tom" Reagan, 81, of Livingston, were conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Mr. Reagan died Friday, October 8 at his home. He was a construction worker and attended the Church of God.
Born September 29, 1923, in Overton County, he was the son of the late James Porter and Elvira (Martin) Reagan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Reagan; two infant sons; two infant daughters; and two brothers, Norman Reagan and Farley Reagan.
Survivors include a son, Charlie Reagan and his wife, Donna, of Livingston; two daughters, Rose Copeland and Betty Speck, both of Livingston; two sisters, Mary Farley of Cookeville and Velma Reagan of Monroe; four grandsons; and four great grandchildren.

Mr. Rector died Saturday, October 9 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a logger and a member of the Church of Christ.
Born February 9, 1919, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Martin and Flora (Allen) Rector. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hallie Kennedy Rector; three sisters, Opal Brady, Lizzie Bilbrey, and Auda Breeding; and two brothers, Junior Rector and Arthur Rector.
Survivors include a son, Terry Rector of Hilham; two daughters, Billie Sue Rector and Thelma Danner and her husband, Tommy, all of Hilham; a brother, Buford Rector of Hilham; a sister, Elise Taylor of Livingston; a grandson, Rick Danner and his wife, Gina; and two great grandsons, Josh Danner and Jordan Danner.

DELPHIS "DALE" REEDER
Funeral services for Mr. Delphis "Dale" Reeder, 72, of Celina, were conducted Wednesday, September 29, 2004, from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Celina.

Mr. Reeder died Sunday, September 26 in Nashville. He was an auto mechanic and a bluegrass singer and musician.
Born April 16, 1932, in Clay County, he was the son of the late James Walter and Mary Lou (Harvey) Reeder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, J.B. Reeder. Survivors include two sons, Lonnie Reeder and his wife, Judy, and Steven Woodard, all of Nashville; a daughter, Brenda Lawrence and her husband, Bobby, of Springfield; a brother, Harold Reeder and his wife, Mary, of Celina; two sisters, Dean Padgett and her husband, Rivers, of Allons, and Virginia Stover of Anderson, IN; and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Upchurch died Sunday, October 10 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a housewife and a member of Miller's Chapel Church.
Born February 2, 1916, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Dillard and Harriet (Fowler) Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oakley Upchurch; four sisters, Edith King, Conva Copeland, Geneva Sells, and Ina Beaty; and two brothers, J.C. Smith and Junior Smith.
Survivors include a daughter, Faye Hill of Alpine; two sons, J.L. "Red" Upchurch and his wife, Justine, of Jamestown, and Harold Gentry Upchurch and his wife, Barbara A., of Livingston; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

GRACE ELIZABETH WILLIAMSON
Funeral services for Ms. Grace Elizabeth Williamson, 79, of Celina, were conducted Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at Free Hill Church of Christ in Celina.

Ms. Williamson died Friday, October 1 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a provider in a daycare and a member of Free Hill Church of Christ.
Born August 26, 1925, in Celina, she was the daughter of the late William Porter and Lockie (Shields) Page.
Survivors include a son, Jonathan Williamson of Cookeville; a daughter, Erica Williamson of Tompkinsville, KY; a sister, Mary Belle Ray of Louisville, KY; and a sister-in-law, Juanita Page of Celina; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Ms. Williamson's nephews served as pallbearers.
