FRED DELOY POSTON
Funeral services for Mr. Fred Deloy Poston, 72, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Okolona cemetery with Rev. Ovle Tinch officiating.
Mr. Poston died Sunday, October 5 at Overton County Nursing Home. He was a farm laborer.
Born April 20, 1931, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Dillard and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Ramsey) Poston. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carrie Harris; and a brother, Allen Poston.
Survivors include a brother, Johnny Poston of Hilham; and two sisters, Betty Jo Matthews of Livingston and Nettie Coffee of Gallatin.
Pallbearers were Charles Qualls, Paul White, Joe Brown, Donald Reid, Bruce Davis, and Mark Poston.

JUNNIE EARLINE (SMITH) SELLS
Funeral services for Mrs. Junnie Earline (Smith) Sells, 85, of Monroe, were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2003, from the chapel of Brown Funeral Chapel in Byrdstown.
Burial was in Bethsaida cemetery with Bro. Lyle Anderson officiating.
Mrs. Sells died Wednesday, October 8 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethsaida Christian Church.
Born June 4, 1918, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Walter A. and Mary Etta (Smith) Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Odell Smith and Kermit Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert Sells of Monroe; three daughters, Judy Garrett and her husband, Michael, and Gloria Sells, all of Monroe, and Delores Storie and her husband, Hoover, of Pall Mall; two sons, Jimmy Sells and his wife, Jane, and Jerry Sells and his wife, Joyce, all of Monroe; three sisters, Marchie Garrett of Byrdstown, Sarah Taylor of Grimsley, and Elise Ledbetter of Caledonia, MI; two brothers, Doyle Carthell Smith of Cookeville and Hollis Smith of Byrdstown; eight grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Sells, Josh Sells, Jason Garrett, Jared Garrett, Matt Masiongale, John Keisling, and Wade Williams.

BOBBIE JEAN SMITH
Funeral services for Mrs. Bobbie Jean Smith, 72, of Cookeville, were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Good Hope cemetery with Rev. Bobby Sebastian officiating.
Mrs. Smith died Thursday, October 9 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a housewife and a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church.
Born May 15, 1931, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Issac "Ike" and Veachel (Maynard) Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Hoy Smith, Boots Smith, Norman Smith, and Don Smith; and two sisters, Nell Smith and Thelma Mullins.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Glen Smith of Cookeville; three sons, Jackie Paul Smith and his wife, Cindy, Roger Glen Smith and his wife, Dawn, and William Scott Smith, all of Cookeville; three sisters, Mable Copeland of Livingston, Mamie Poston of Cookeville, and Judy Dailey of Mobile, AL; and three grandchildren, Cory Smith, Taylor Smith, and Austin Smith.
Pallbearers were Jack Smith, Roger Smith, Chris Smith, Scott Smith, Cory Smith, and Lecil Smith.

WILLOWDEAN GRAGG BLANTON
Funeral services for Mrs. Willowdean Gragg Blanton, 88, of Cookeville, were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2003, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey. Burial was in Sand Springs Memorial Gardens with Rev. David Phillips officiating.
Mrs. Blanton died Tuesday, March 18 at her home. She was a restaurant owner.
Born June 21, 1914, in Morgan County, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Gustie Mae (Norris) Barnett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands; Joseph Roscoe Gragg and Randall Austin Blanton; a daughter, Claudean Gragg; two daughters-in-law, Earlene Gragg and Gladys Gragg; three sisters, Alta Mae Warden, Ginger Christofferson, Susie McPhertridge; and eight brothers, Elmer Barnett, Benton Barnett, Ross Barnett, Roy Barnett, Kenneth Barnett, Walter Barnett, Freddy Barnett, and David Barnett.
Survivors include two sons a daughter-in-law, Charles Gragg, and Billie and Adelle Gragg, all of the Vines Ridge Community; a sister, Betty Mills of Detroit, MI; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Banks of Gadsden, AL; 7 grandchildren, Pamela Sue Thomsen, Mary Ann Norrod, David Gragg, William Gragg, Daniel Gragg, Claudean Lackey, and Shelby Gragg; 12 great grandchildren, Laura Harris, Elizabeth Burgess, Tonya Loftin, Lacey Pollitt, Brittany Gragg, Cassandra Gragg, Mikey Gragg, Daniel Norrod, Jeremy Pollitt, Justin Gragg, Dylan Gragg, and Roscoe Gragg; and 4 great-great grandchildren, Alex Pass, Madison Colson, David Loftin, and Jacob Burgess.

Mrs. Brown died Wednesday, March 19 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a housewife and a member of Maxwell Chapel Church of God.
Born October 1, 1923, in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Garland Mann Sr. and Maggie (Rich) Holt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Brown; three brothers, Waymon Holt, Hugh Holt, and Eubert Holt; and a sister, Elphia (Holt) Brown.
Survivors include a son, Keith Brown of Hilham; three brothers, Charles Holt of Warner-Robbins, GA, Garland "Sonny" Holt of Celina, and Carson Holt of Indianapolis, IN; four sisters, Glena Holkem of Rickman, Wynell Taylor and Ruth Fannin, both of Indianapolis, and Kay Day of Hilham; and two grandchildren.

CECIL HARGIS
Funeral services for Mrs. Cecil Hargis, 89, of Monterey, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2003, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey. Burial was in Welch Memorial cemetery in Monterey with Bro. Glen Goggings and Bro. Edward Anderson officiating.
Mrs. Hargis died Thursday, March 20 at Standing Stone Care and Rehabilition Center in Monterey. She, along with her husband, operated a grocery store in Crawford and was a member of Monterey Church of Christ.
Born November 22, 1913, in Crawford, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Bleavy (Ashburn) Reeves.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Kermit Hargis of Monterey; a daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Jim Whittaker of Monterey; a sister, Geneva Mitchell of Rockwood; a brother, Ralph Reeves of Harriman, two grandchildren, Sherry Whittaker of Monterey, and Jimmy Whittaker and wife Marylin of Cookeville; and a great granddaughter, Amber Whittaker.
Nephews served as active pallbearers and honorary pallbearers were the adult Sunday School class at Monterey Church of Christ.

AVIS MAE KNIGHT
Funeral services for Mrs. Avis Mae Knight, 82, of Crossville, IL, were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2003, from Cook-Sturm Funeral Chapel of Crossville. Burial was in Oak Grove cemetery in Grayville, IL. Mrs. Knight died Saturday, March 22 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was a homemaker and a member of Crossville Church of Christ.
orn December 20, 1920, in Nortonville, KY, and raised in Monroe, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Pearl (Conaster) Flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Maurice Knight; two sisters, Opal Franklin and Nellie Daniels; and a brother, James Flowers.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Morris Knight; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Linda and Wes Trout, Phyllis and George Giagnoni, Shirley and Rick Ritsch, and Shelia Knight, all of Crossville; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Rhonda Knight of Carmi, IL; six sisters, Valeria Combs of Crossville, Lillie Kennedy of Livingston, June Copeland and Oma Jean Bowman of Huntsville, AL, Hazel Flippin of Las Vegas, NV, and Mazelle Melton of Monroe; and a brother, Oliver Flowers of Crossville, TN; a special friend, Alan Napier of Carmi; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

ROGER DALE MAYNORD
Funeral services for Mr. Roger Dale Maynord, 55, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2003, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Burial was in Hunter-Cove cemetery with Bro. Aron Dillon officiating.
Mr. Maynord died Wednesday, March 19 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a truck driver and a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.
Born December 25, 1947, in Overton County, he was the son of Void and Thelma (Bilbrey) Maynord. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Maynord; an infant brother, Kenneth Maynord; and a granddaughter, July Dillon.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a daughter, Kim Dillon and husband Eric of Livingston; a son, Steve Young and wife Holly of Sparta; a sister, Jonesetta Johnson of Livingston; three brothers, Larry Maynord, Jerry Maynord, and Durell Maynord, all of Livingston; three grandchildren; a very special friend, Judy Langford; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Funeral services for John M. Meadows Jr., 56, of Livingston, were conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial was in Mt. Gilead cemetery with Bro. Glenn Goggins officiating.
Mr. Meadows died Saturday, March 22 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was a carpenter, who worked in home construction, and a member of Livingston Church of Christ.
Born February 12, 1947, in Overton County, he was the son of Neoma (Halfacre) Meadows and the late John Milton Meadows. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include a wife, Barbara Meadows of Livingston; a son and daughter-in-law, John III and Arlene Meadows of Sparta; a daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Jeff Wieneke of Livingston; three sisters, Margie Lewis of Livingston, Nancy Nelson of Algood, and Gay Nolfo of Lavonia, MI; and two granddaughters, Avery Meadows and Allison Meadows.

Mr. Peek died Wednesday, March 19 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a factory worker at Norwalk Furniture and a member of Livingston Church of God of Prophesy.
Born March 15, 1939, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Isaac and Syble (Copeland) Peek. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Peek; and a sister, Lucille Ledbetter.
Survivors include a son, Dewain Peek of Livingston; two brothers, William Peek of Kingston Springs and Joe Peek of Nashville; a sister, Lillian Crabtree of Livingston; and a former wife, Shelby Anderson of Gainesboro.

FRANCES MARIE PYLANT
Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Marie Pylant, 46, of Allons, were conducted Saturday, March 1, 2003, from Louisa Freewill Baptist Church in Louisa, KY. Burial was in Yatesville Memorial Gardens in Louisa with Rev. Vinny Vanhoose officiating.
Mrs. Pylant died Wednesday, February 26 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a medical billing clerk and attended Algood Freewill Baptist Church.
Born May 3, 1956, in Dayton, OH, she was the daughter of Woodrow and Tommie (Hall) Wilson of Allons.
Survivors, in addition to her parents, include three sons, Michael Robert Wilson, Christopher Daniel Pylant, and Patrick Neal Pylant, all of Allons; and a sister, Ruth Carol Niswonger of Phoenix, AR.

BETTY BILBREY
Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Bilbrey, 50, of the Love Joy Community near Monterey, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2003, at Love Joy Baptist Church.
Burial was in Love Joy cemetery with Rev. Randy Bilbrey and Rev. David Harris officiating.
Mrs. Bilbrey died Tuesday, September 30 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. She was a nurse's aid and a member of Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. She and her husband, Lonzo, were married
August 15, 1969.
Born March 21, 1953, in Monterey, she was the daughter of Maxine (Johnson) Phillips of Love Joy and the late L.J. Phillips. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Stanford Bilbrey; and a brother, Hershel Johnson.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Lonzo Bilbrey of Love Joy; two daughters, Nickie Donathan of Kingston and Shannon Beaty of Crossville; a son, Brad L.
