CHRISTINE BERNICE LOOPER
Funeral services for Ms. Christine Bernice Looper, 62, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial was in Sevier cemetery in Monroe with Bro. Bill Young officiating.
Mrs. Looper died Monday, Jan. 13 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a volunteer at the hospital and Baptist in faith.
Born December 25, 1940, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Conrad and Eudean (Long) Looper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Looper; and two brothers, Jimmy Looper and Kermit Looper.
Survivors include a son, Donald Brown of Monterey; a daughter, Sandra Crawford of Livingston; three brothers, Bruce Looper of Monroe, Joe E. Looper of Livingston, and Danny Looper of Rickman; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ronald Looper, Wayne Looper, Andrew Looper, Josh Brown, Chris Huddleston, Gary Looper, and Johnny Linder.

MARY L. LUTZWEIT
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary L. Lutzweit, of Medway, OH, were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, from Airway Baptist Church in Dayton, OH. Burial was in Sugar Grove cemetery in West Alexandria, OH.
Mrs. Lutzweit died Monday, Jan. 13 at Hospice of Dayton. She was retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base, where she worked for more than 20 years making many lasting friendships. She was a member of Airway Baptist Church, Ladies Moose of Medway, and Ladies VFW Auxiliary of Medway.
Born June 19, 1935, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Ellen and Hobert Ogletree. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Grady Ogletree; and a sister, Ruth Evans.
She is survived and will be missed by her husband, Jack Lutzweit of Medway; son Jimmy Hunter and wife Terry of Olathe, KA; son Randall A. Long and wife Betty of West Carrollton; daughter Shelia J. Mick and spouse Roger of Fairborn; daughter Vickey L. Grow and family of Dayton; step-daughter Dawn Kolhbacher and spouse Tony of Fairborn; stepdaughter April Cross and spouse Jeff of Columbus, OH; stepson Gary D. Long and wife Amy and their daughters Lacey and Emily of Burkesville, KY; three sisters, Betty Bowling of Livingston, Peggy Claborn of Apache, OK, and Sue Dinsmore of Fort Ville, IN; 13 grandchildren, Roy, Aaron, Rodney, Kelly, Jimmy, Mary Beth, Alysia, James, Elizabeth, Ryan, Randy Lee, Brandy, and Amanda, and their spouses, Rona, Chelsa, Liz, Heather, and Jody; and 6 great grandchildren, Mikala, Riley, Morgan, Maryjane, Reed, and Isley.

Funeral services for Mrs. Zora Mae Norrod, 90, of Rickman, were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, from the chapel of Rickman-Hall Funeral Home. Burial was in Campground cemetery in Clarkrange with Jimmy Dixon and Jerry Harris officiating.
Mrs. Norrod died Saturday, Jan. 11 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She attended Highland Baptist Church.
Born January 31, 1912, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Tilbert B. and Mattie (Samms) Swallows. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Elbert Norrod; a daughter, Beatrice Walker Hardison; a son, Albert Ray Norrod; three sisters; and seven brothers.
Survivors include a daughter, Martha Dickson of Rickman; two sons, Carl Norrod of Springfield and Homer Norrod of Dayton, OH; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

PLUMA PENNINGTON
Funeral services for Ms. Pluma Pennington, 80, of Nashville, were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, from the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Goodlettsville. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Ms. Pennington died Monday, Jan. 13. Born March 31, 1922, in Livingston, she was the daughter of the late N.L. and Effie Pennington. She was retired from Porcelain Industries.
Survivors include five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Marie and James Reding, Earline Johnson, Gladys Deluma, Edna Lozoya, and Linda and Randall Hemby; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Tony and Jody Pennington and Larry Pennington; and several beloved nieces and nephews. OLIVER DOYLE QUALLS
Funeral services for Mr. Oliver Doyle Qualls, 72, of Monterey, were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey. Burial was in Green Acres Memorial Gardens in Crossville with Rev. Shawn Durham officiating.
Mr. Qualls died Friday, Jan. 17 at his sonÕs home in the Drippings Springs Community of Cumberland County. He had farmed with the UT Agricultural Extension Farm in Crossville.
Born April, 26, 1930, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Joe Wheller and Lee Ethel (Looper) Qualls. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathaleen Looper and Josephine Cantrall; and a brother, Carlyell Qualls. He was married
to Betty Louise (Blaylock) Qualls on December 22, 1948, and to this union five children were born.
Survivors include four daughters, Janet Jelene Wilson, Sharon York, and Cindy Lee Garrett, all of Crossville, and Charlotte McCowan of Monterey; a son, Roger Juan Qualls of Monterey; two sisters, Christine Deck of Cincinnati, OH, and Drucilla Qualls of Crossville; three brothers, Harold Qualls and D.W. Qualls, both of Crossville, and Jessie Qualls of Nashville; 9 grandchilren, Deneasa Phillips and Bethany Melton, both of Monterey, and Nathan Wilson, Melisa Schubert, Jessica Dickenson, Ryan Dickenson, Blake Dickenson, Jonathan Garrett, and Shawn Garrett, all of Crossville; and 12 great grandchildren.

DONALD OTIS SELLS
Donald Otis Sells, 65, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, in Kingwood, TX, having never fully recovered from a stroke last year.
Mr. Sells was raised in Livingston and Alpine, attended Livingston Academy, and barbered in Livingston and Chattanooga. He had lived in Texas since 1978.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis V. and Eva Jane Reagan Sells; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Reagan of Livingston; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Sells; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his wife, Florence Loy Sells; his children, Evan Jane Nance of Porter, TX, Donald O. Sells of Tennessee, and Lisa Fisher of Fort Worth, TX; and nine grandchildren.

ANNA MADGE SHELTON
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Madge Shelton, 76, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial was in Falling Springs cemetery with Rev. Terry McCloud and Rev. Steve Fields officiating.
Mrs. Shelton died Wednesday, Jan. 15 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a retired nurseÕs aide and a member of Allons Assembly of God.
Born June 2, 1926, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Quitman and Vina (Hite) Winningham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Clyde Vaughn and John R. Shelton.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Clifton Pigg of Hilham and Anna Jo and Arnold Smith of Cravenstown; a brother, Cozy Winningham of Crawford; a sister, Faye Handy of Livingston; grandchildren, Sherry and Russell Cravens, Johnny Pigg, and Amy Pigg; great grandchildren, Arnie Cravens and Brandon Cravens; and special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cora Lee Thompson, 92, of the Pleasant Ridge Community of Overton County, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, from Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge cemetery with Rev. Comer McGuire and Rev. Marvin Saylor officiating.
Mrs. Thompson died Friday, Jan. 17 at Standing Stone Health Care in Monterey. She was a housewife and a member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church.
Born May 16, 1910, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Cass and Mary (Short) Matheny. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd L. Thompson; a son, Billie Thompson; a daughter, Emogene Norrod; a grandson, Donald Raines; two great grandchildren, Glen Thompson and Leann Raines; seven brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include two sons, James Howard Thompson and Wayne Thompson, both of the Pleasant Ridge Community; a daughter, Mazell Raines of the Pleasant Ridge Community; a sister, Ethelene Haney of Cookeville; 18 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Lee Fulton Winningham, 83, of Byrdstown, were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, from the chapel of Crestlawn Funeral Home in Byrdstown. Burial was in Tompkins cemetery in Pickett County with Rick Cross officiating.
Mrs. Winningham died Wednesday, Jan. 15. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Church in Byrdstown.
Born May 4, 1919, in Clinton County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Solly and Belle Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Porter Fulton and Oral Winningham; and a daughter, Katie Lowe.
Survivors include six daughters, Sally Griffin of Doyle, Polly Rednour of Dayton, OH, Betty Seibers of Stanford, KY, and Nannie Bolin, Nellie Bolin, and Rita Whited, all of Livingston; five sons, Bill Fulton of Marengo, OH, Jimmy Fulton of Dayton, OH, Malcom Fulton of Beaver Creek, OH, and Jackie Fulton and Jeff Fulton, both of Byrdstown; a brother, Nathan Brown of Albany, KY; 40 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

SHERLIE A. WINNINGHAM
Funeral services for Mr. Sherlie A. Winningham, 81, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial was in Bel Air Memorial Gardens in Bel Air, MD, with Dr. David Moore and Rev. Dee Ledford officiating.
Mr. Winningham died Monday, Dec. 30, 2002, at Overton County Nursing Home. He was retired from the railroad industry, having worked for Bethlehem Steel. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army and a member of Monroe Christian Church.
Born September 18, 1921, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Sam and Cova (Allred) Winningham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives, Mildred (Deigart) Winningham and Frances (Scott) Winningham; a sister, Lyndell Arney; and two brothers, Norman Winningham and Willard Winningham.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Martin of Joppatown, MD; two brothers, Artis Winningham of Crossville and Kenneth Winningham of Livingston; and grandchildren, Scott and Dawn Martin and Heather Martin.

EDWARD J. YURKANIN
Funeral services for Mr. Edward J. Yurkanin, 85, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial, with military service performed by the Honor Guard of James T. Davis Memorial Post 5062, was in Good Hope cemetery with Rev. Tom Halliburton officiating.
Mr. Yurkanin died Wednesday, Jan. 1 at Overton County Nursing Home. He was an electrical engineer and a United States Army veteran. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and First United Methodist Church.
Born October 13, 1917, in Ashley, PA, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary E. (Matthews) Yurkanin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Dolores (Langford) Yurkanin.
Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Mary Yurkanin of Maui, HI, Stella Eldridge of Livingston, and Flo Langford of Dearborn, MI; two nephews, Joseph Yurkanin of Maui and Jack Demyan of Baltimore, MD; four other nephews; two nieces; and several great nieces and great nephews.

BILLY FRANK DILLON
Funeral services for Mr. Billy Frank Dillon, 67, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2003, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial was in Mt. Gilead cemetery with Bro. Bobby Gore and Bro. Bill Dillon officiating.
Mr. Dillon died Monday, December 15 at his home. He was a factory worker in the auto industry and was affiliated with the Church of Christ.
Born August 2, 1936, in Overton County, he was the son of the late William Thomas and Carrie (Ward) Dillon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Zelphia Carmack; and a brother, Keith Dillon.
Survivors include three sisters, Gratice Maxwell of Algood, Floy Moles of Dayton, OH, and Ella Sheffield of Tampa, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Haney Funeral services for Mrs. Eva (Overton) Wilmoth Haney, 98, of Cookeville, were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2003, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville.
Burial was in Wilmoth cemetery with Pastor Bruce Argo officiating.
Mrs. Haney died Thursday, December 18 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a retired telephone operator for the Railroad Company and attended Duncan's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
Born May 2, 1905, in Scott County, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Elizabeth (Harness) Overton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Charlie Dyer, Charlie Harness, Jubie Collins Wilmoth, and Everette Haney; two sons, Elmer Harness and Boyd Harness; two daughters, Helen Harness and Maxie Harness; two sons-in-law, John Gullette and Sterling Kennedy; a daughter-in-law, Helen Harness; four brothers, Sherman Overton, Freeman Overton, Leahman Overton, and Morris Overton; and two sisters, Gertie Ward and Bertha Byrge.
Survivors include two daughters, Anna Mae (Harness) Gullette of Cookeville and Earlie Kennedy of Caryville; a son, J.C. Wilmoth and his wife, Linda, of Cookeville; a daughter-in-law, Mildred Harness of Cookeville; 33 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
