KINGSPORT - William Harold Brewer, 63, passed away Thursday (Feb. 3, 2005).
He was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County and retired having worked for Pave-Well Paving Company. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ernest Brewer and Thelma Bradley Light Lucas Brewer.
Surviving are his daughter, Christine Hood, Church Hill; son, James William Brewer, Kingsport; five grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Light and Kat Light, both of Kingsport and Shirley Mullins, North Carolina; brothers, Rob Brewer, Kingsport and Kenneth Light, Nashville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at Sullivan County Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Ronald Keith Bundrant, 60, Hawaii.
HAWAII - Ronald Keith Bundrant, 60, of Hawaii, formerly of Rogersville, died in Hawaii.
He attended Rogersville High School where he played football. He joined the U.S. Navy and served in the Vietnam War. Mr. Bundrant moved to Alaska and lived 13 years there, where he was a master pipefitter, before making his home in Hawaii.
He was preceded in death by his parents, C.W. and Berches Bundrant; brother, Jimmy Bundrant; and several aunts and uncles.
Surviving are one brother, T.C. Bundrant and wife, Brenda of Kingsport; nephews, Timmy Bundrant of Morristown; nieces, Cathy of Knoxville, Brooke Bundrant of Kingsport and Tammy of Jacksonville, Fla.; one great-niece, Julia Price of Knoxville; and several cousins.
Calling hours are from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Colboch-Price Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Glen Bradley officiating.

SURGOINSVILLE - Carolyn Joyce Caldwell, 63, 198 Gatewood Road, passed away Wednesday (Feb. 2, 2005) at Vanderbilt Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mrs. Caldwell was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and was of the Baptist faith. She was a retired employee of Hawkins County School System and a former employee of ITT North Electric.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Mary Esther Christian Caldwell; one brother, James Caldwell.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Mellons, Surgoinsville; one daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Richard Flanary, Church Hill; one stepson, Johnny Mellons, Kingsport; one stepdaughter, Tracy Swinney, Kingsport; six grandchildren, Ashley and Heith Flanary, Brittany, Josh and Amber Swinney and David Mellons; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Edna Caldwell, Church Hill; two sisters and brother-in-law, Lyda and James Harrell, Surgoinsville and Jessie Moore, Church Hill; sister-in-law, Ruth Caldwell, Church Hill; special friends, Ruby Arnold, Estelle Staten and Glenna Lloyd; several neices and nephews.

GATE CITY, Va. - Joyce Morrison Davidson, 73, passed away Thursday (Feb. 3, 2005) at Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was born in Scott County on Jan. 5, 1932 and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Davidson was of the Protestant faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cary Lell Morrison; sisters, Jeanne Morrison and Edith June Morrison; brothers, James Morrison and Charlie Morrison.
Surviving are her husband, Kelly Davidson, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Harlan Hobbs, Hiltons, Va., Lynn and Michael Saucier, Church Hill; grandchildren, Rachel Saucier, Dallas, Tex., and Beau Saucier, Iraq; mother, Frances Helen Carter Morrison, Gate City, Va.; brothers, C.L. KINGSPORT - Alice Adkins Dotson, born Aug. 15, 1915, went home to be with the Lord and her beloved husband, Fonso Dotson, on Feb. 3, 2005.
She lived many years in Dickenson County, Va., moving to Sullivan County in 1957 where she spent the remainder of her life.
She was a member of the Lyon's Fork Free Will Baptist Church in Coeburn. Her love, kindness, encouragement, instruction and example will be remembered and passed on for many generations to come.
She is survived by two daughters, Geraldine Nunley and Betty Garland and husband, Steve; a son, Bobby Dotson and wife, Elizabeth; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

JOHNSON CITY - Willard "Sarge" Freeman, 84, 120 W. Holston Avenue, died Wednesday (Feb. 2, 2005) in the Asbury Place.
Mr. Freeman was a native of Wise County, Va., and had lived most of his life in Johnson City. He was a son of the late Luther and Annie Hale Freeman.
Mr. Freeman was retired from the U.S. Air Force and had served as a recruiting sergeant in the Tri-Cities area.
Mr. Freeman was a former owner of the Freeman Realty Co. in Johnson City. He was a member of the Clark Street Baptist Church. He was also a member of the V.F.W. Post # 2108 of Johnson City.
Mr. Freeman was preceded in death by his parents and also his wife, Mildred B. Freeman in 1990; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one son, Bill Freeman of Springfield, Va.; one stepdaughter, Cynthia Gardner of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two brothers, Jack Freeman of Surgoinsville and James Freeman of Washington, D.C.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at Morris-Baker Funeral Home, Johnson City.
Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in the South Chapel. Rev. Mike Anglin will officiate.

Mrs. Harr loved to garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Harr; her parents, Virginia Purdy Myers and Sam J. Myers; two brothers, Roy J. Myers and Ralph Myers.
