The family will meet at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.

Gladys M. Stout, 98, Elizabethton.
ELIZABETHTON - Gladys Morley Stout, 98, formerly of Elizabethton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday (Nov. 2, 2005) in the NHC Healthcare of Johnson City following a brief illness.
She was the daughter of the late Charles and Naomi McQueen Morley.
Gladys was born in Butler, Tenn., but spent her early childhood days in Elizabethton where she attended the Elizabethton city schools. After her marriage, she and her husband lived in Butler where they lived until 1948 at which time they moved to Elizabethton.
She was an active member of Oak Street Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School teacher and superintendent of the Primary Department. Gladys was also the chairperson of the benevolence committee of the WMU (Women's Mission Union) and sang in the church choir. One of the greatest joys of her life was teaching children in Sunday School and Training Union. She was a member of the Gertrude Hale Sunday School Class.
Her special interests in addition to church activities were sewing and cooking. She will be remembered for her special apple pies, which she made for family and friends throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 68 years, Kyle U. Stout; three brothers, Dana, D.C., Sr., and James Morley; and two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Bradley and Mrs. Eula Tester.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Dean and son-in-law, Clyde M. Garrison of Johnson City; two granddaughters, Deborah G. Lowery and her husband, David R. of Birmingham, Ala., and Teresa G. Sands and her husband, John "Stan" of Irmo, S.C.; four great-grandchildren, Caroline and Ben Lowery of Birmingham, Ala., and Amy and Julie Sands of Irmo, S.C.; three sisters, Mary Young of Kingsport, Callie Greenwell and Dorothy Whitson of Elizabethton; two sisters-in-law, Helen Morley McKittrick of Denver, Colo., and Shizako Morley of El Cajon, Calif.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Oak Street Baptist Church, 804 Oak Street, Elizabethton, Tenn., or friends may call at the residence of Joyce Dean and Clyde Garrison.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Officiating ministers are Rev. Bruce Hendrich, Pastor and Rev. Bob Polk, former pastor of Oak Street Baptist Church and Dr. Kenneth Jordan, pastor of Fairview Baptist Church, a former Sunday School student of Mrs. Stout.
Music will be provided by the Oak Street Baptist Church choir, Gary Rice, former minister of music at Oak Street Baptist Church, Doug Zimmerman, trumpet soloist, Julie Sands, violinist, Juanita Ruetz and Ambers Wilson, pianists and John Durham, organist.
Graveside services and interment will be conducted immediately after the service at the Happy Valley Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Stan Sands, David and Ben Lowery, Wayne Morley, Teddy Greenwell, David Morley, Jr., Richard Whitson, Bobby Tester, Tom Young and George Young.
Honorary pallbearers are Jim Greenwell, Joe Karsnak, Charles Young, Harold Young, John Morley, D.G. Stout, Ralph "Bud" Stout, Justin Grindstaff, Jack Stout and John Stout.

SURGOINSVILLE - Betty Jo Guy White, 70, passed away Wednesday (Nov. 2, 2005) after a long illness with her family by her bedside.
She was born and raised in Kingsport, moving to Surgoinsville in 1976. She was an Avon Representative for 32 years, a crossing guard at Kingsley Elementary School and a girls softball coach for two years, coaching an undefeated H&R Machinery Team in the Bloomingdale area.
She was of the Pentecostal faith.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emory B. and Elita G. Laster Guy; one son, Jeffery Alan Teague; and two brothers, Curtis Lee and Johnny Ben Guy.
Surviving are her husband, Herbert O. White Jr., of the home; two sons, Joel M. Guy and wife Lisa of New Orleans, La., and Gary W. McMurray and wife Janie of Blountville; four daughters, Jessica (Rene) Charles, Surgoinsville, Jennifer (Robin) White and fiance Steve Southard, Surgoinsville, Chandise Y. Fink and husband Randy, Colonial Heights and Tasha N. White, of the home; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tommy G. Guy and wife Sandra, Blountville and Paul W. Guy and wife Barbara, Kingsport; two sisters, Beulah Williams, and Reba N. Cradic and husband, Gene, both of Kingsport; one daughter-in-law, Susan D. Teague and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Guy, both of Kingsport; two very special friends, Judy Greer, Rogersville and Patsy Holt, Crossville, Tenn.
The family will receive friends at the home anytime after 12 noon today.
A special memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the home burial plot with the Rev. Paul Holt of Knoxville officiating. Her interment option was cremation.

CHURCH HILL - Deneen Francisco Anderson, 92, of Church Hill, went to be with the Lord on Saturday (Nov. 5, 2005) at Church Hill Health Care & Rehab Center.
A lifelong resident of Hawkins County (Church Hill), she was a graduate of Church Hill High School in 1932. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Fairview Chapter No. 80 of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Grange Hall United Methodist Church. She was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who was loved by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh E. "Jack" Anderson; her daughter, Patsy Anderson Chapman; her son, Hugh Anderson; her parents, Benjamin J. Francisco and Sarah Calhoun Francisco; three sisters and four brothers.
Surviving are her five sons and daughters-in-law, Donald E. Anderson and wife Claudette of Mount Carmel, Roy D. Anderson and wife Janet of Kingsport, Hollis Anderson and wife Judy of Gate City, Va., Michael "Butch" Anderson and wife Phyllis of Mount Carmel, and Jack D. Anderson and wife Angie of Church Hill; 11 grandchildren, two step- grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Edna Lloyd of Church Hill; two special nieces, Ann Duncan and Dorothy Barker; a special friend, Jennie V. Larkins; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Carter-Trent Funeral Home of Church Hill. The family will also be receiving friends anytime at the home of her son, Donald Anderson, 1014 Hammond Avenue, Mount Carmel.
Fairview Chapter No. 80 of the Order of the Eastern Star services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel.

Richard Edward Bishop, 80, Abingdon, Va.
ABINGDON, Va. - Mr. Richard Edward Bishop, 80, passed away Friday (Nov. 4, 2005) at his home on Rich Valley Road.
Richard was born Dec. 27, 1924 in Pelcer, S.C., to Joseph and Carrie Driskell Bishop. He was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Army.
Richard had resided in the Abingdon area since 1987; he was a native of South Carolina. He was retired from Fieldcrest Cannon Mills after 29 years of service.
He was of the Baptist faith, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Kingsport.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Mona Sue Osborne; one son, Charles Bishop; and one sister, Bertha Clendenin.
Survivors include his wife, Opal C. Bishop; one son, Gary Wayne Bishop and wife Peggy of Bluff City; one son-in-law, David Osborne of Abingdon; two brothers, J.C. Bishop and wife Peggy of Kingsport, and James Bishop and wife Hester of Bedford, Va.; two sisters, Wanda Pasour of Bristol, Tenn., and Christine Wright of Lynchburg, Va.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, Abingdon, Va., with the Rev. Kenneth Widner officiating.
Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Holston View cemetery in Weber City, Va. Friends and family are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
Ethel Chapman, 89, Kingsport.
KINGSPORT - Ethel Chapman, 89, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Saturday (Nov. 5, 2005) at Wexford House Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Pocahontas, W.Va., and had lived in Kingsport most of her life.
Mrs. Chapman was a member and faithful churchgoer of Bays Mountain Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Lawrence Chapman; three sisters; one brother; and one grandson, Chris Chapman.
Surviving are two daughters, Geraldine Ramsey and husband Gale, Bowmantown community, Laverne Rowland and husband Johnny, Kingsport; six sons, Alfred Chapman and wife Rosie, Richard Chapman and wife Ivanell, Paul Chapman and wife Kay, Denny Chapman and wife Patsy, all of Kingsport, David Chapman, Fall Branch, Randy Chapman, Washington, D.C.; twelve grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Frankie Farmer and husband Marvin, Martinsville, Va., and Mrs. Virginia Harrison, Marion, Ohio; one brother, Russell Hypes and wife Barbara, Louisville, Ky.; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, downtown Kingsport.
Services will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Joseph W. Manis officiating.
Pallbearers will be sons and sons-in-law.

John Edward Ferguson, 73, Gray.
GRAY - John Edward Ferguson, 73, passed away suddenly Thursday morning (Nov. 3, 2005) of an apparent heart attack at Holston Valley Medical Center.
He was a son of the late Newman and Sallie Leedy Ferguson and was born April 10, 1932 in Sullivan County. He was a graduate of Sulphur Springs High School and proudly served as a corporal in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955, during which time he served in Korea.
For years John has been relentless in his efforts to make a better place for the youth of the Gray community. He coached Little League baseball for over 40 years in Gray and Johnson City. John served as a past president of Gray Ruritan and as Zone Governor of Washington County. He was presented the Ruritan of the Year Award by the Washington County Ruritan Council and was named Mr. Gray Ruritan in 1975. John was an avid golfer, and was a charter member of The Crossings Golf Club. He retired from the Tenite Department of Tennessee Eastman Company in 1993 after 38 years of service.
John was a faithful member of the Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church in Gray.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved son, Michael John "Mickey" Ferguson; one brother, Hal Glen Ferguson; and sisters, Betty Ferguson and Pauline McKewen.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Evelyn Sells Ferguson; two sons, Matthew Ferguson of Dallas, Tex., and Marty Ferguson and wife, Cindy of Johnson City; "Papa John" will also be sadly missed by his beloved granddaughter, Lauren Reese Ferguson of Johnson City; sisters, Mildred (Ken) Kirtley of Jonesborough, Margaret (Derek) Bowman of Telford, Linda (Jimmy) Westmoreland of Johnson City, and Ellen (Darrel) Cole of Jonesborough; one sister-in-law, Martha Ferguson of Gray; one aunt and uncle, Walter and Reba Leedy of Gray; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and neighbors.
Graveside services will be held today at 3 p.m. in the Gray Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Bo Bowman, Joe Bowman, Andy Bowman, Eddie Good, Danny Good, David Good, Hal Ferguson, Gentry Ferguson, Steve Cloyd, Shane McKewen, Dale Cloyd, and Josh Cole.
