Military graveside rites will follow the service at 1 p.m. at Mountain Home VA National Cemetery, Mountain Home, Tenn., conducted by the U.S. Army Honor Guard.

Fifi Bishop, 82, Woodway, Va.
WOODWAY, Va. - Fifi Bishop, 82, of Woodway, Va., was born in Tennessee on Tuesday (Feb. 6, 1923) and passed away on Tuesday (Nov. 8, 2005) at the Lee Regional Medical Center in Pennington Gap, Va.
Fifi had lived in Lee County her entire life and attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Woodway.
She was preceded in death by her husband, O.T. Bishop on June 1, 2005; her parents, Robert Lee and Ollie Edna White Zeeks; three sisters, Helen Moore, Shirley Crabtree and Opal Zeeks; two brothers, Jack and George Zeeks.
Fifi is survived by her sons, Gary Bishop, Punk Bishop, Johnny Bishop and wife, Donna, Leonard Bishop and wife, Judy, Roger Bishop and Darrell Bishop all of Woodway, Va., and Elmo Zeeks and wife, Connie of New Lebanon, Ohio; daughters, Brenda Allen and husband, Happy of Woodway, Va., Carol Cantor and husband, Eddie of Jonesville, Va., Lois Jones and husband, Brad of Cincinnati, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Bud Zeeks of Covington, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, Va.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home sanctuary with Rev. Tim Cradic officiating.
Burial will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, Va.

KINGSPORT - Dee C. Byington, 82, went to be with the Lord, with his family by his side, on Tuesday (Nov. 8, 2005) at his residence following a brief illness.
Born in Hawkins County, Dee had been a resident of Kingsport for most of his life. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army and fought in the Battle of the Bulge with the 159 Combat Engineers. Dee was a member of American Legion Hammond Post #3 of Kingsport.
He was retired from J.P. Stevens after 37 years of service. He loved people, and had a special love for children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Roxie Bruner Byington, as well as all of his brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Edwina Byington of the home; two daughters, Vikki Byington and Donna Byington, both of Church Hill; one son, Jeff Byington and wife, Rhoda of Kingsport; granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Byington, Kingsport; three special nieces, Faye, Patsy and Ashley; along with many other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport.
A celebration of his life will be conducted in the funeral home chapel at 7 p.m. today with Pastor David Salley and Bishop G.D. Peters.
Music will be by Sherrie Lawson.
Military graveside services will be at Oak Hill cemetery on Friday at 12 noon with the American Legion Hammond Post #3 and Gate City Post #265 in charge.

BLOUNTVILLE - Steven G. Dowell, 44, went to be with the Lord, with his family and friends at his bedside on Monday (Nov. 7, 2005) at Bristol Regional Medical Center after a period of declining health.
Born in Kingsport, Steve had lived in the Rock Springs community prior to moving to Blountville. He was an employee of Eastman Chemical and retired from the Organic Chemical Division in 1998. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed working on cars and participating in flea markets. He was of the Baptist faith.
Steve was very outgoing and never met a stranger.
Steve was preceded in death by his father; Tommy Dowell.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Lawson Dowell; and his daughter, Tiffany Gabrielle Dowell, both of Blountville; mother, Madge Cole Dowell of Blountville; three sisters, Debbie Blakley and husband George, Kingsport, Kathy Boggs and Lisa Baumgardner and husband Terry, both of Blountville; one brother, James Dowell, Blountville; mother-in-law, Launa Lawson, Kingsport; also several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call anytime at the residence of Steve's mother, Madge Dowell, 249 Rodefer Hollow Road (Central Heights community), Blountville.

BIG STONE GAP, Va. - Joyce Vanhook Giles, 75, passed away Wednesday (Nov. 9, 2005) at the home of her daughter.
She was a retired registered nurse from Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap and was a volunteer with the Lonesome Pine Hospital Auxiliary. She was an avid gardener and a member of the Master Gardeners. She attended The Church at Birchfield in Pound, Va.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph W. Giles; and a son, Gary W. Giles.
Surviving are her daughter, Donna Reasor and husband, Harold; son, Mark Giles and wife, Dianna; grandchildren, Colby Reasor, Sarah and Ben Giles; sisters, Gaynelle Phillips of Brockton, Mass., and Edna Hayes of Needles, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Holding Funeral Home in Big Stone Gap.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with Elder Lester Baker and Pastor Rusty Fitzpatrick officiating.

WISE, Va. - Erby Clayton Goins, 81, passed away Wednesday (Nov. 9, 2005) at his home.
He was a retired coal miner, a member of the UMWA and former official of his Local Union. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the 80th Airborne, receiving a Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lona Silcox Goins; his wife, Marie Goins; two stepdaughters, Kathryn Brooks, Margie Goins; four brothers, Bunn Perry, Frank Goins, Eddie Goins and Foy Goins; two sisters, Georgia Stanley and Myrtle Blankenbecler.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Freida Powers; two stepsons, Elmer Lucas Jr. and Danny Ray Lucas; a brother, Robert Goins; four nephews, J.C. Blankenbecler, Steve Goins, Thomas Stanley and Danny Stanley; three nieces, Kathy Goins, Marlyn Stanley and Carolyn Stanley; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

SURG0INSVILLE - Clinton G. Hutson, 76, of 348 Kite Road, went to be with the Lord Tuesday (Nov. 8, 2005) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a period of declining health.
Mr. Hutson was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and was a member of Smyrna Independent Missionary Baptist Church.
He was a retired employee of East Tennessee State University Center and was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Nannie Arnold Hutson; brothers, Ray Hutson, Frank Hutson and Canie Hutson; sister, Lola Lloyd.
He is survived by his wife, Emily Ruby Spitzer Hutson, Surgoinsville; one daughter, Phyliss K.
