Donald Wayne Faulk Sr., 67, Kingsport.
KINGSPORT - Donald Wayne Faulk Sr., 67, went to be with the Lord Monday (Dec. 12, 2005).

Mr. Faulk was born in Kingsport on Sept. 6, 1938 and was the son of Jessie Mae Greene Faulk Boggs and the late Loy Glade Faulk.

He attended Boones Creek Baptist Church.

Mr. Faulk worked in the construction field throughout his life, devoting much of his time to running and owning various lumber yards.

He will be remembered for his love of the water.

He was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Erica Rene' Faulk and Ashlynn Danielle Oliff.

Mr. Faulk is survived by his wife, Rebecca Landes Faulk of Kingsport, his mother, Jessie Mae Greene Faulk Boggs (his 90-year-old girl, as he liked to call her); his stepmother, Rosella Faulk; a daughter, Bonnie Diane Marshall; a son, Donald Wayne Faulk Jr. and wife Patricia Rene'; grandchildren, Mark Aaron Cody and wife Christa, Donald Wayne Faulk III, John Dylan Faulk and Dalton Glade Faulk; a great-grandchild, Trent Aaron Cody, all of Kingsport; sisters, Alice W. Feathers and husband Michael, of Boones Creek, and Kathy King and husband David of Piney Flats; brothers, Loy Faulk and wife Shirley of Blountville, Michael Faulk of Kingsport, and Greg Faulk of Memphis.

At Mr. Faulk's request, his body will be cremated. No formal services will be held at the funeral home. Private family services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Memorial Program, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.

Dorothy O. Gardner, 88, Johnson City.
JOHNSON CITY - Graveside services for Dorothy O. Gardner, 88, formerly of Appalachia, Va., and Big Stone Gap, Va., who passed on to heaven on Monday morning (Dec. 12, 2005), will be held at 12 noon on Saturday at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ronnie Mutter officiating.

Holding Funeral Home in Big Stone Gap, Va., is in charge of arrangements.

Oletha Hamilton, 79, Albuquerque, N.M.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Oletha Florine Hamilton, 79, a resident of Albuquerque since 1988, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday (Dec. 7, 2005).

Oletha was born in Marshall, Mo., on Jan. 22, 1926. Even though far apart, her sisters looked forward to and never missed getting together every year taking turns hosting the reunion. As a homemaker, Oletha was always there for her husband and children. She raised her children living in places such as Germany and Japan plus several of the states in the U.S.

She will certainly be loved and missed by her family.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Bard; son, E. Wayne Riddle; and grandchildren, Nathan and Issac Bard and Byron Riddle; and sisters, Beatrice Hamilton and Janet Paris.

Surviving are her husband, Milton (Red) Hamilton of Albuquerque; son, Robert Hodges; daughter, Lisa Morrow and her husband, Robert Morrow of Colorado; grandchildren, Lindsay Wise of Albuquerque, Liz Simmons and Alex Morrow of Colorado, and James Hodges of California. She and her husband enjoyed visiting with her sisters, Dean (Albert) Lay of Kingsport, Wanda Hodges of Florida, and Pat Densel of Indiana.

William F. Hilliard, 82, Kingsport.
KINGSPORT - William F. Hilliard, 82, of 1345 Catawba Street, Kingsport, passed away Monday evening (Dec. 12, 2005) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II in the Pacific Theatre on PT boats. Mr. Hilliard was a member of the American Legion Hammond Post No. 3 where he had served as Post Commander in 1966 and 1967. He also served as East Tennessee Vice Commander and First District Commander. He drove the American Legion Bucking Ford for seven years in the 4th of July parade.

Mr. Hilliard was owner and operator of Hilliard Sheet Metal and later he worked for Cook HVAC.

He was a member of Kingsport TIPS Club and First Broad Street United Methodist Church.

His parents, George and Anna Keegan Hilliard; brother, Tom Hilliard; and nephew, Tim Hilliard preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife, Beulah "Boots" Hilliard, Kingsport; two daughters, Ann Campbell, Raleigh, N.C., and Judy Gray, Kingsport; three grandchildren, Amy Creasman, Jessica McCracken, and Matthew Campbell; six great-grandchildren, Cody Gawlik, Sebastian McCracken, Jimmi Cole, Kaitlyn McCracken, Mark Kirkpatrick, and Madelyn McCracken; one sister, Midge Hilliard Jennings, Merritt Island, Fla.; three nieces, Terry Johnson, Bonnie Gates, and Barbara Oberlin; and one nephew, Buddy Hilliard.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at First Broad Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Jack Edwards and Rev. Jack P. Weikel officiating. Eulogy will be given by David Cook.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park with military graveside rites conducted by the American Legion Post No. 3/265.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Gawlik, Cody Gawlik, Roscoe Moore, Matthew Campbell, Buddy Hilliard, Matt McCracken, Sebastian McCracken and Amy Creasman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. W.C. Dub Lady, Dr. Frank Buckles, Jerry Campbell, David Cook, Graham Cook, Curtis Spivey, Walt Pupa, Ron Bedford, Douglas Hagy, Dr. Mike Lady, Bob Light, Virgil Davis, Trina Robinette, Lisa Dunn, and Bill Todd.

Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport, is serving the family of William F. Hilliard.

Hazel C. Hilton, Kingsport.
KINGSPORT - Hazel C. Hilton, of Kingsport, passed away Wednesday (Dec. 14, 2005) in the Holston Valley Medical Center.

Arrangements are incomplete.

Robert Jess Jackson, 82, Kingsport.
KINGSPORT - Services for Robert Jess Jackson, 82, who passed away on Monday (Dec. 12, 2005), will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in the chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home with Brother R.L. Crawford officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Chad Dotson, Chris Dotson, Joshua Jackson, Scott Eldridge, Gary Jackson and Mike Jackson.

A special thank you for the kind care of all the nurses on the 5th floor at Indian Path Medical Center.

Darrell Lee Kern, 38, Hiltons, Va.
HILTONS, Va. - Darrell Lee Kern, 38, entered into rest Tuesday (Dec. 13, 2005) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

He was born in Sullivan County on Dec. 19, 1966.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Stewart Kern, 1971; his twin brother, Earl Kern, June 2005.

His children were his life; he had a way with people. He had a fantastic sense of humor and could make you laugh in the darkest hour. He was a blessing to all who knew him.

Survivors include his sons, Mitchell and Russell Kern, who reside with their mother, Hiltons, Va.; father, Lee Harold Kern, Duffield, Va.; sisters and brother-in-law, Teresa and Rex Hill, Gate City, Va., and Madeline Kern, Lebanon, Va.; grandmother, Maude M. Stewart, Ft. Blackmore, Va.; best friend and confidant, Connie Quillen.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Gate City Funeral Home.

Services will be at 7 p.m. today in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Kevin Sanders, Russell Sanders, Richard Sanders officiating.

Music will be provided by the family of Russell Sanders.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Greene Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, Va. The family will meet at the cemetery for graveside services.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Bertha Mae McLean, 94, Kingsport.
KINGSPORT - Bertha Mae McLean, 94, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Tuesday morning (Dec. 13, 2005) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by husband, James E. McLean; four daughters, Betty Jean McLean, Lucille Millins, Margaret Murr, Thelma Goddard; one son, Gerald McLean Sr.; parents, Joseph and Lilly Collins; four sisters, seven brothers.

Surviving are her daughters, Judy McLean, Kingsport, Estellita Keller and husband Paul, Kingsport; three sons, Joe McLean, Kingsport, Jerry McLean, Kingsport, Jimmy McLean and wife Pamela, Rogersville; 21 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Joann Handilir, Baltimore, Md., Stella Collins, Norton, Va.; one brother, Dillard Collins, Kingsport.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Funeral Home.

Services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. with Dr. Tony Gonzalez officiating.

Music will be provided by Stacey Bowman.

Graveside services will be conducted following funeral services at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Billy Goddard, Phillip Serpas, John Forbes, Darus McConnell, Jimmy Zeairs, Austin Peters and Dakota Whitson.

The staff of Oak Hill Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. McLean.

Maudie G. McMurray, 81, Kingsport.
KINGSPORT - Maudie Gilliam McMurray, 81, 325 Bridwell Heights Road, died Wednesday (Dec. 14, 2005) at her residence.

Calling hours are anytime at the home.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by East Lawn Funeral Home.

Pauline B. Meeks, Kingsport.
On Sunday afternoon, the Lord gently took Pauline by the hand and led her home. Her family and friends will miss her laugh, her lively sense of fun and her caring heart.

Services for Pauline (Bright) Meeks, of Kingsport, who passed away Sunday (Dec. 11, 2005), will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Cassidy United Methodist Church.

Graveside service will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park with friends and family serving as pallbearers.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Eldreath House, in care of the Cassidy United Methodist Church.

Graveside services for Chloe Brown (Mommy) Phillips, 95, Fall Branch, who passed away Monday (Dec. 12, 2005), will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at the First Baptist Church of Fall Branch Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons: Kenny Jones, Roger Phillips, Richard Phillips, Randall Phillips and Jimmy Dawson; and nephews, Ray Hayes, Dennis Hayes, and Bud Cox.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to Fall Branch Volunteer Fire Department building fund, P.O. Box 84, Fall Branch, Tenn. 37656, or Youth Missions Fund of First Baptist Church of Fall Branch, P.O. Box 82, Fall Branch, Tenn. 37656.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Neglia, Dr. Mark Griffin, the staff at Brookhaven Manor, and the Hospice staff for your special care over the past few weeks. May God Bless you each one.

Services for Ella Mae Risner, 79, of Rogersville, who died Monday (Dec. 12, 2005), will be conducted at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville, with Rev. Lelbert Thornburg and Rev. Ivan Bowen officiating.

Burial will follow in Hawkins County Memorial Gardens.

James Glen Risner, Brian Scott Risner, Jeffrey Adam Miracle, Robert Vance Risner, Timothy Aaron Risner and Christopher Lee Risner will serve as pallbearers.

Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville, is serving the Risner family.

Catherine Robinson, 56, Kingsport.
KINGSPORT - Catherine Melissa Robinson, 56, passed away Wednesday (Dec. 14, 2005) following a lengthy illness.

Catherine was born in Kingsport and was the daughter of the late James and Edith Robinson. She had lived most of her life in Kingsport, but had also lived many years in Augusta, Ga.

Catherine recently rededicated her life to the Lord. She was a retired LPN following 30 years of nursing and was a member of the American Nursing Association.

Catherine was preceded in death by a son, Wesley Alexander Robinson; a brother, Bill Robinson; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Barnette.

Surviving are a son, James Allen and Farrah Robinson of Augusta, Ga.; two sisters, Helen and Junior Johnston of Piney Flats, and Twila and Tom Fisher of Fall Branch; several nieces and nephews; and her very special pet, Lucky.

Catherine was a loving mother, sister, aunt and nurse who was devoted to her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A private memorial service for family will be conducted.
