Ada Ruth Sellers Greer, 89, Surgoinsville.
SURGOINSVILLE - Ada Ruth Sellers Greer, 89, of 101 Reynolds Ave in Surgoinsville, passed away Friday morning (Jan. 27, 2006) at Wellmont Hawkins County Hospital following a short illness.
She was 2002 Grand Marshall of Riverfront Festival Parade and Gospel Gold Mom of Gospel Gold TV. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Surgoinsville. She was a former member of the Surgoinsville Senior Citizens Center and Silver Bell Choir.
She was preceded in death by her husband, K.D. Greer in 1977; father, Larry Sellers; mother, Pearl McInturff Sellers; brothers, Mack Sellers and Donald Sellers; an infant brother; sisters, Mary Dykes and Lois Sellers; son-in-law, Carl B. Sandidge on May 17, 2005; and father and mother-in-law, Noah and Ressie Dykes Greer.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Greer Kimbro (Glenn) and Betty Jean Greer Sandidge, both of Surgoinsville; four sons, Kelly Greer (Martha) of Haleyville, Ala., Jimmy Greer (Carolyn) of Kingsport, Gerald Greer (Linda) of Kingsport, and Ronnie Greer (Debbie) of Surgoinsville; one sister, Doris Sellers Lamb of Morristown; 13 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one great-great-granddaughter due in March; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call anytime at the residence of her daughter, Betty Jean Greer Sandidge and from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church of Surgoinsville.
Services will follow at 4 p.m. in the church with Rev. Brad Smith officiating.
Interment will follow in Hawkins County Memorial Gardens.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Bambi Lynn Hughes, 41, Knoxville, Tenn.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Bambie Lynn Hughes, 41, left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Jan. 25, 2006.
East Tennessee has been her home for the past 35 years. A joyful Christian, she celebrated her faith at Fellowship Evangelical Free Church. Bambi graduated from The University of Tennessee and remained a faithful Volunteer.
She was a dedicated teacher, writer/editor, web designer, and software systems analyst--professions integrated into her work as Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications for The White Stone Group, where she leaves numerous colleagues and dear friends. Bambi was an ardent traveler, an enthusiastic bowler, and an outstanding talented musician. Most of all, she was an awesome mother who loved her children dearly.
Bambi leaves her grandmother, Ethel Streett of Bayonet Point, Fla.; her father, Albert Eugene Hughes; her beloved mother, Dr. Susan E. Hughes; and her loving sister, Erin Frances Hughes of Ft. Collins, Colo. She has three wonderful children: two sons, Michael Patrick Hertel and Robert Mitchell Hughes; and a beautiful daughter, Rachel Caroline Hughes. She is also survived by Robert Kilburn of Titusville, Fla.; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her dearly loved amazing friends.
Her memorial service is today at Fellowship Evangelical Free Church, 8000 Middlebrook Pike with the Rev. Rick Dunn officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m., with the service beginning at 1:30 p.m. after a reflective musical prelude.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the Bambi Lynn Hughes memorial fund for residential expenses of patients' families at The University of Tennessee Medical Center. Donations should be sent to UTMC Department of Pastoral Care.

CHURCH HILL - Sharon Hutson, 48 passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006 after a long courageous battle with cancer.
She was the wife of Dr. Les Hutson, Director of Music Ministries at First Broad Street United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by ther mother, Sarah Fletcher and father, Donald W. Schalk.
Sharon is survived by her husband Les Hutson; her children, Tessa, Conner, Elena, Christian, Katy Norman, Holly Norman; and stepson, Mark Hutson.
A musical celebration of Sharon's life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the First Broad Street United Methodist Church, Church Circle, Kingsport.
Sharon's love for contemporary music and exubereant personallity inspired everyone who came in contact with her. She will be missed by everyone.

James Clifford Pease, 81, Kingsport.
KINGSPORT - James Clifford Pease, 81, of Sevier Street, went to be with the Lord at 2 a.m. Friday at his residence following an illness.
Born Jan. 7, 1925 in Scott County, Va., he was a long-time resident of Kingsport. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II, attended the Oakwood Forest Christian Church and belonged to Kingsport Masonic Lodge #688 F&AM. He retired from the Tennessee Eastman Company as a chemical operator.
He was the son of the late James Edward and Nannie Belle Repass Pease.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Edward Pease; and a brother, Thurman.
Surviving are his wife, Fleetia Lawson Pease, of the home; one son, James C. Pease Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Clinton, Tenn.; two daughters, Sandra Kaye Small of Collegeville, Pa., and Polly Darlene McClellan and husband Byron of Ocala, Fla.; three grandchildren, Laura Small of Richmond, Va., Jennifer McClellan of Tampa, Fla., and Seth McClellan of Ocala, Fla.; one brother, Arles Pease and wife Louise of Kingsport.
Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City, Va.
Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Marlin Jaynes officiating.
