Services for Norma Lea Longworth Toni, 74, of Church Hill, who went to be with the Lord on Monday evening (Jan. 23, 2006), will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in the chapel of Carter-Trent Funeral Home of Church Hill with Rev. Kenneth Ellis officiating.

Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Church Hill Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Carter-Trent Funeral Home of Church Hill is serving the family of Norma Lea Toni.

Ina Marie Way, 78, Surgoinsville.
Graveside services for Ina Marie Way, 78, Surgoinsville, who went home to be with the Lord and her husband, Fred, Monday (Jan. 23, 2006), will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Marty Scism, David Manis, Chris Manis, Tim Anderson, David Caldwell, and Charles Caldwell.

The family requests those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Phipps Bend Free Will Baptist Church.

Johnson Funeral Home, Church Hill, is in charge of arrangements.

Micca Buchanan, 86, Coeburn, Va.
COEBURN, Va. - Graveside services for Micca Buchanan, 86, formerly of Coeburn and recently of Wexford Nursing Home in Kingsport, who passed away Sunday morning (Jan. 29, 2006), will be conducted today at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Norton, Va., with Rev. Rodney Buchanan officiating. Family and friends will leave Carty Funeral Home, Norton-Wise, Va., at 1 p.m. for the graveside service.

Calling hours are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Elmore "Elmo" Burton, 56, Sneedville.
SNEEDVILLE - Graveside services for Elmore "Elmo" Burton, 56, of Sneedville, who passed away Tuesday morning (Jan. 31, 2006), will be held at 11 a.m. today at Highland Cemetery.

Colboch-Price Funeral Home in Rogersville is nin charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Minnie Camp, 81, Kingsport.
KINGSPORT - Mrs. Minnie Camp, 81, of 822 Dale Street, departed this life early Wednesday morning (Feb. 1, 2006) at Sunbridge Care Center.

Arrangements are incomplete.

Mrs. Minnie Camp and family are in the care of Robinson Funeral Service, Kingsport.

Gladys A. Cheek, 90, Kingsport.
KINGSPORT - Graveside services for Gladys A. Cheek, 90, who died at 7:10 a.m. Monday (Jan. 30, 2006), will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport, is in charge of arrangements.

Scott Davis, 57, Harrisburg, N.C.
HARRISBURG, N.C. - Scott Davis, 57, of Harrisburg, N.C., formerly of Kingsport, passed away on Tuesday (Jan. 31, 2006) at Boston Medical Center in Boston Mass., following complications from primary amyloidosis.

Arrangements will be announced by Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, downtown Kingsport.

Rosa Lee Douglas, 82, Church Hill.
CHURCH HILL - Rosa Lee Douglas, 82, went to be with the Lord on Monday (Jan. 30, 2006) at Church Hill Life Care Center.

She was born in Sullivan County on April 12, 1923.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Nellie Ferguson; brothers, J.P., June, Leroy, Charles and Donald Ferguson; granddaughter, Brittini Gilliam; son-in-law, Ronald Sims.

Survivors are her loving husband of 64 years, Donald L. Douglas of Church Hill; sons, Donald J. Douglas Jr. and wife Evelyn of Kingsport, Charles Robert Douglas and Joshua Derrick Douglas, both of Church Hill; daughters, Gwendolyn Sims of Rogersville, Carolyn Laughlin and husband Wesley of Mosheim, Deloris Crawford and husband Eugene of Kingsport, Charlotte Kistner and husband Jimmy of Kingsport, Marie Carter and husband Wally of Church Hill, Donna Gilliam and husband Kenneth of Church Hill; sisters, Louise Cline of Kingsport, Deloris and husband Hack Vaughn, Imogene Ferguson of Baltimore, Md.; 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Oak Hill Funeral Home.

Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Orville Dolen and Rev. John Crawford officiating.

Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Sims, Josh Douglas, Dusty Carter, Bryan Pippins, Scott Crawford, Jeff Sims, Steve Sims and Michael Kistner.

The staff of Oak Hill Funeral Home is serving the family of Mrs. Douglas.

Billy Fred Ferrell, 56, Rogersville.
ROGERSVILLE - Services for Billy Fred Ferrell, 56, of Rogersville, who went to his heavenly home at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 31, 2006), will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Colboch-Price Funeral Home, Rogersville, with Rev. Dan Hicks officiating.

Interment will follow in the Gladson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home and anytime at the residence of his nephew, Junior Barner.

Lucille Franklin, 76, Gray.
GRAY - Mildred Lucille Franklin, 76, 229 Gray Station Rd. #28, Gray, passed away Wednesday morning (Feb. 1, 2006) in Holston Valley Medical Center Hospital after a short illness.

She was a daughter of the late Lyda Snapp and George Christian and was born in Hawkins County. She was a member of Greenvale Baptist Church of Gray.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Tom Franklin.

Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert (Lucille) Christian of Kingsport and Earl (Hazel) Christian of Jonesborough; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Lizzie Cox of Kingsport, and Mary (Bill) Ratliff of Kingsport; three nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel and anytime at the home of her brother, Earl Christian, 145AA Deakins Rd., Jonesborough.

Services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday with Rev. Paul Manis and Rev. Travis Shaffer officiating.

Graveside services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Kingsport. Anyone wishing to attend the graveside please meet at the cemetery at 12:55 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Joe Mosier, Hal Jenkins, Dennis Hite, Bill Hite, Brandon Hite, Gordon Harrison, Ernest Ford, and Doil Canady.

Gray Funeral Home is serving the family.

Susan Lurcook-Frazier, 36, Kingsport.
KINGSPORT - Susan Yvonne Lurcook-Frazier, 36, of Kingsport, departed this life at 10:15 p.m. on Monday (Jan. 30, 2006) at Johnson City Medical Center.

She was born in La Mesa, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sheila Slavens; and a sister, Debbie Spatz.

Survivors are her loving husband, Anthony Frazier of Kingsport; two sons, PFC2 Mitchell Lurcook, Fort Myers, Kans., and Brandon Frazier of Kingsport; father and stepmother, Burnell and Liube Lurcook of California; a sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Mike Ohara of Oregon; two brothers, Kenneth Lurcook and Jimmy Blaugh, both of California; and several nieces and nephews.

The family stated she was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later.

The staff of Oak Hill Funeral Home is serving the family of Susan Yvonne Lurcook-Frazier.

June Elizabeth Freeman, 51, Dryden, Va.
DRYDEN, Va. - June Elizabeth Vanover Freeman of Dryden, Va., was born Sunday, Aug. 29, 1954, and passed away Tuesday (Jan. 31, 2006) at the Lee Regional Medical Center in Pennington Gap, Va., at the age of 51 years.

She had been a resident of Lee County her entire life and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ennis Vanover; mother, Mary B. Vanover; and sister, Margaret Dennison.

June is survived by her husband, Clyde Freeman of the home; daughters, Mary Elizabeth Freeman of Pennington Gap, Va. and Angela of the home; sons, Clyde Freeman Jr. of Pennington Gap, Va., Ennis Freeman of the home; sisters, Tina Garrett of Pennington Gap, Va., Nell Parson of Ohio; brothers, Bill Vanover of Ohio, Buddy Vanover of Indiana, and Daniel Vanover of Woodway, Va.; two grandchildren; close family friend, Sabrina Raines; several nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of friends.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, Va.

Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the sanctuary of the funeral home with Pastor Joe Derry officiating.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Freeman Family Cemetery, Big Hill community. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday to go to the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Province Funeral Home.

Juanita Gray, 86, Johnson City.
JOHNSON CITY - Juanita Merritt Gray, 86, 2101 Christian Lane, died Monday (Jan. 30, 2006) at her home.

She was a native of Elizabethton, but had lived in Johnson City for most of her life.

She was a daughter of the late, Arthur E. and Josephine H. Merritt. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Bernie L. Gray Sr.; one daughter, Norma Jean Dockery; one brother, Jack Merritt; and one sister, Louise Shell.

She was a member of the First Christian Church and was a member of the Mr. and Mrs. Sunday School Class at First Christian. She was a member of West Hills Garden Club and had volunteered at the Johnson City Girls Club teaching sewing. Her other interests were gardening and painting.

Survivors include one son, Bernie L. Gray, Jr. and his wife Helen of Johnson City; two sisters, Thelma Gentry and Margaret Sheridan, all of Johnson City; one brother, Hiram "Max" Merritt of Knoxville; five grandchildren, Lattie Gene Dockery and his wife Carrol of Johnson City, Mylinda Dockery, Lexington, Ky., Lisa Love and her husband Rob of Johnson City, Rick Gray and his wife, Tammy of Johnson City and Lora Fishman and her husband Geoffrey of Atlanta, Ga.; seven great-grandchildren, Abbie Love, Hannah Love, Ellen Love, Mykalin Jones, Gabe Jones, Will Fishman and Helen Fishman; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. today at Morris-Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of Bernie and Helen Gray, 1807 Waters Edge Drive, Johnson City.

Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in the South Chapel. Dr. Tim Wallingford and Mr. Steve Hill will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Rick Gray, Geoffrey Fishman, Rob Love, Bryan Merritt, Andy Geeter and Kevin Poe.

Honorary pallbearers will be men of the Mr. and Mrs. Sunday School Class of First Christian Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund at the First Christian Church, 200 E. Mountcastle Drive, Johnson City, Tenn. 37601.

William Kincheloe Jr., 50, Jonesborough.
JONESBOROUGH - William "Bill" Marion Kincheloe Jr., 50, of 833 Dry Creek Road, Jonesborough, died suddenly Tuesday (Jan. 31, 2006) at Johnson City Medical Center.

He was a native of Washington County, son of William M. "Papa" Kincheloe Sr. and Nancy O'Dell Kincheloe, and had lived most of his life in Washington County. Bill was employed by the Johnson City Schools in maintenance and had formerly worked for the John Sevier Center for many years.

He was a member of the First Christian Church, Johnson City, but had attended the Embreeville United Methodist Church recently.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Oak Duncan (O.D.) and Lola Kincheloe; his stepgrandparents, James and Mildred Lewis; and his maternal grandparents, Finley and Lillian O'Dell.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Lynn Woodward Kincheloe; and three sons, Michael, Will and Nathan Kincheloe, all of the home; parents, Marion and Barbara (Papa and Mimi) Kincheloe Sr. of Sevierville; and mother, Nancy O'Dell Kincheloe of Knoxville; two brothers, Carl Kincheloe, Bristol, Steve Hendrix, St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Jan Mobley, Kingsport, and Malany Looper of Fort Myers, Fla.; nieces and nephews, Erin Mobley Norman, Christopher Mobley, Erika Bates, Caitlyn and Amanda "Dani" Flynn; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Morris-Baker Funeral Home, Johnson City.

Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday in the South Chapel of the funeral home, under the direction of Rev. Gene Deaton.

A committal service will be conducted on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home to leave in procession by 9:30 a.m.

Active pallbearers will be Michael Kincheloe, "Little" Bill "Chester" Cox, Sammy Witcher, Jon Flynn, Carroll Butler and Big Billy Cox.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Treadway, Ronnie Collins, Christopher Mobley, George O'Dell and the Johnson City Schools Maintenance Department.

Memorials may be made in the form of contributions to Buffalo Mountain United Methodist Camp, 241 Methodist Camp Road, Jonesborough, TN 37659.

Virgle Manis, 76, Surgoinsville.
SURGOINSVILLE - Virgle Manis, 76, died Wednesday (Feb. 1, 2006) at Wellmont Hawkins County Memorial Hospital.
