Interment will follow in the Courtney Cemetery.

KINGSPORT - Mrs. Minnie Camp, 81, of 822 Dale Street, departed this life early Wednesday morning (Feb. 1, 2006) at Sunbridge Care Center.
Mrs. Camp was born in Sullivan County where she made home all her life.
A member of Bethel A.M.E. Zion Church where she serviced with the Willing Workers and the Missionary Club.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Amanda Long; and her husband, Mr. Charles Camp.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Nelson of the home; one grandchild, Ms. Alicia C. Camp; one great-grandchild, Ms. Da'Maya Camp; one brother, Mr. Thomas Long, Jr., of Church Hill.
Family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Chapel.
Graveside services to follow at 2 p.m. in Tri-City Memory Garden, Blountville, with Dr. Marcus Pierce officiating.
Interment will follow in the Tri-City Cemetery.

KINGSPORT - Services for Lorinda "Betty" Lawson Carter, 84, of Kingsport, who entered eternal rest at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 1, 2006) will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday in the East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Amos officiating.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at th funeral home.
Burial will follow graveside services at 11 a.m. Monday in East Lawn Memorial Park.
Those attending the graveside service are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 10:50 a.m. Monday.

Essie Dickson Chase, 97, Kingsport.
KINGSPORT - Essie Dickson Chase, 97, of Sullivan County, departed from this life on Friday (Feb. 3, 2006) at NHC Healthcare following a lengthy illness.
Born January 17, 1909 in Sullivan County where she lived all of her life, she was active in many community activities.
Mrs. Chase was a lifelong member as well as the oldest member of Emory United Methodist Church at the time of her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Maggie Dickson; her husband, Henry Chase; a son, Fred D. Chase; and a granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Chase.
Surviving are three children, Mary Lou Cooper and her husband Jim of Johnson City, Margaret Barnes and her husband Bill of Kingsport, Rollin Chase and his wife Carol of Elizabethton; a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Chase of Kingsport; five grandchildren, Karen Reach and her husband David of Bristol, Cindy Herron and her husband Brian of North Port, Fla., Hollie Verran and her husband Tommy of Elizabethton, Pam Chase of Kingsport, and Wendy Chase of Florida; and two great-grandchildren, Chase Reach and Julia Barnes.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport, with Tim Hall and Harold McNabb officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following services.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Gunnings Cemetery, Blountville.
Friends and relatives wishing to attend the graveside services are asked to meet at the cemetery.

MIAMI, Fla. - Mary Stout Chatman, 82, a native of Johnson City, passed away Wednesday (Feb. 1, 2006) in Miami, Fla., where she had resided for 51 years.
Mrs. Chatman was born May 11, 1923 the daughter of the late Lena Day and Dewey Stout. She was the wife of the late John "Junior" Chatman.
Surviving are four daughters, Ann Chatman of Miami, Fla., Hazle Foytik of Homosassa, Fla., Mrs. Dee Dee (Chuck) Miller and Mrs. Tammy (Parry) Holland, both of Miami, Fla.; one son, Mike Chatman and wife, Joyce of Miami, Fla.; five grandchildren, Holly Chatman of Orange City, Fla., Mrs. Natalie Foytik (Adrian) Abarca of Miami, Fla., Matt Chatman, Chuckie Miller, and Cheyenne Miller; three great-grandchildren, Jaylene Abarca, Emily Abarca, and Adrian Abarca; two brothers, Dewey "Junior" Stout and Jack Stout.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch.

BLOUNTVILLE - Robert L. "Bob" Dulaney, Sr., 82, of Blountville, died Thursday (Feb. 2, 2006) at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Big Stone Gap, Va., a son of the late Samuel Leroy and Isabel Nave Dulaney.
He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II. He moved to this area in 1952 and was retired from Moore's Quality Snack Foods.
He was a member and deacon of Blue Springs Primitive Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Kate Dulaney; a son, Danny Dulaney; sisters, Carol Sneed and Nell Thompson; and a brother, Roy "Pete" Dulaney.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice Turner and her husband, Don of Blountville; a son, Robert L. Dulaney, Jr., of Bristol; sisters, Lucy Eaton, Ann Smith and her husband Robert, Betty Dorton and her husband John, and Faye Poff; sister-in-law, Janis Dulaney; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Blue Springs Primitive Baptist Church with Elders John Bowlin and Tommy Osborne officiating.

ROGERSVILLE - Marjorie E. Fields, 77, died Thursday (Feb. 2, 2006) at Wellmont Hawkins County Hospital following an extended illness.
Mrs. Fields retired from Dodge Reliance Electric in 1984.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mattie Asbury Gourley; sister, Thelma Shell; brother, Jack Gourley; and granddaughter, Tonya Ford.
Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Fields of Mooresburg; son, Harry Thomas Fields and wife, Rebecca of Talbott; three grandchildren, Brandy Ford, Lauren Fields and Daniel Fields; two great-grandchildren, Brianna and Taylor Long; four sisters, Sally Dean and husband, Lloyd and Joyce Gourley, all of Rogersville, Nancy Harville and husband, Alfred of Dayton, Ohio and Mildred Bowlin of Morristown; three brothers, William "Bill" Gourley and wife, Pearlie of Washburn, Walter Gourley and wife, Jean of Morristown, and George Gourley and wife, Joyce of Rogersville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

CHURCH HILL - Luther Eugene "Bud" Gilbert, 60, of 779 River Road, passed away Friday (Feb. 3, 2006) at his home.
Mr. Gilbert was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Gilbert and mother, Lula Mae Gilbert Crawford.
He is survived by one son, Michael Eugene Gilbert, Rogersville; one daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Steve Harless, Kingsport; three grandchildren, Angela Brooke Harless, George Steven Harless, and Ashley Nicole Johnson; three sisters, Edna Mae Arnold, Church Hill, Margaret Ann Head and Lucille Walker, both of Rogersville; and four nephews.
