Doyal, Georgia Lee, of North Knoxville, passed away Saturday, November 27, 1999 at Baptist Hospital. Member of North Hills Baptist Church. Graduate of ETSU and Draughns Business College. Early in her career Georgia was both a teacher and principal in the Grainger County School System. Years later she worked for the Pentagon in Washington, DC and the Armed Forces Induction Station in Knoxville. Preceded in death by son, Capt. Curtis Delano Doyal, US Air Force Retired, and husband, Curtis Sanders Doyal. Sutphin, Cristin Rebecca, age 18, of Seymour, Tennessee died instantly Friday, November 26, 1999 in an automobile accident. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Seymour. Cristin was a Knoxville News-Sentinel scholar; valedictorian of the 1999 class of Seymour High School where she was a 4 year varsity cheerleader and co-captain her senior year. She was also a DARE role-model for 4 years; member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes; member of Seymour Teens Against Drunk Driving; member of the Beta Club, and Knoxville Teen Board; Miss Congeniality of the Sevier County Junior Miss Pageant; Miss Congeniality of the Sevier County Fairest of the Fair. Also belonged to the Seymour High School Choir and Drama Department; member of the 1998 Homecoming Court; voted "Most Dependable" by her Senior Class. She was selected to the National Youth Leadership Forum in Washington, DC. Also S.C.O.P.E. representative of Seymour High School. She had just entered her Freshman Year at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia where she was a member of the Gospel Choir. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Harman and Hazel Bower.
