He was a veteran of World War II serving as a pilot in the Army Air Corps. Survived by daughter Brenda Flowers Ooten and husband Robert of Marietta, Georgia; son Tommy Flowers of Knoxville; grandchildren Christopher Kevin Ooten, Amy Elissa Ooten, Casey Hamilton Flowers, Courtney Witt Flowers; sisters Mrs. Rosa Belle Davis of Greenville, Illinois; Mrs. Lula Mae Crosby of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Mrs. Ruth Hayes of Maryville, California.
