She was a student at The Adult Education Center in Knoxville. She was preceded in death by parents George Dewey and Elma B. Burnett; brother, Arvilee Burnett. Sisters: Betty West, Mary Lou Barron, and Angeline Hayes Funeral services will be Monday 8 PM at Berry Chapel with the Rev. Eugene Wilder officiating. Interment will be Tuesday 11 AM at Baker's Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday from 6 until 8 PM at Berry Funeral Home (Chapman Highway).

Mount, Vera, age 101, of Murphy, NC, died Saturday, June 3, 2000 in a Murphy Care Center. She was a native of Sevier County, TN, but had lived most of her life in Knoxville before moving to Murphy in 1995. She was the daughter of the late P.I. and Mary Louisa Sanders Mount. She was a fur designer, having worked for Vola Furriers and Miller's Department Store in Knoxville. She was an active member in the Church Street United Methodist Church and the Volunteer Sunday School Class. Nieces & Nephews: Mary Porter Owen & husband, Alex; Porter Owen & wife, Carla; Martha Owen Liden & husband, David, Murphy, NC; Clayton Mount & wife, Sherry; Carolyn Wick & husband, Don, Nashville, TN; Margaret Miekle & husband Wally, Youngstown, OH; Buddy Mount & Alice, CA; Barbara Hamilton, Knoxville; Alma Abernathy & husband, Andy, Stone Mountain, GA Funeral service 11:00 AM Wednesday at Berry Chapel with Rev. Cabel W. Trent officiating. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Church Street United Methodist Church, 900 Henley Street, Knoxville, TN 37902. James Edgar Johnson
