Paul C. 'Buddy' Scruggs

Scruggs, Paul C. "Buddy", age 62, of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2000 at UT Hospital after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer. He served as State Representative for 14 years and is presently Assistant Commissioner of Commerce and Insurance for the State of Tennessee. Preceded in death by his father, Paul Scruggs. He was a devoted and loving husband and father. Roy Scott (Poppy) Lusby

Lusby, Roy Scott (Poppy), born December 9, 1925, went to be with the Lord April 27, 2000. Preceded in death by father Roy Lusby, Sr.; 1st wife Alice; mother Katherine Mae Lusby; sons John Paul and Craig. Scott was very proud of his service for his country. He served in WWII, spending his 18th birthday on a ship headed to France. He loved to fish, hunt and go on long Sunday drives. He loved to sing and would often sing us a tune from his childhood. He was a faithful employee of the City Storage for 30 years. He was a faithful and honest friend to many. Always lending a hand to anyone in need. A great father who taught us how to live our lives good and made our brothers into good men. We love him dearly and our hearts will be heavy for many days to come.
