Mary Charles Higginbotham, 75, of McMinnville passed away Saturday, March 3, 2001.
Higginbotham was born February 14, 1926, in Warren County, the daughter of Johnson Higginbotham and Mae Bell McGee Higginbotham. She was retired from Lockheed Martin Corporation and attended the Baptist Church.
Services were Monday, March 5, 2001, in the Love-Cantrell & Cope Chapel with burial in Shellsford Cemetery. Titus Ward officiated.
Higginbotham was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Amos Higginbotham.
Survivors include two nieces, Wanda and James Harris of McMinnville; Mildred and John Hunter of Rock Island; a nephew, Billy and Brenda Higginbotham of Antioch; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Higginbotham of McMinnville.

Brenda S. Jones Harold, 59, of Harrisville, WV, passed away Monday, February 26, 2001.
Harold was born May 13, 1941, in Sparta, the daughter of Jeff and Kina C. Lawrence Jones. She was a homemaker.
Services were Saturday, March 3, 2001, in Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Highland Cemetery. Fate Wilson officiated.
Harold was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her mother, Kina c. Lawrence Jones of Sparta; three sons, Stephen Harold of OH; Curtis Harold of TX; Michael Harold of TX; two daughters, Teresa Lafferre of WV; Debbie Nichols of WV; two brothers, Hoyte Jones of Sparta; Sam Jones of IN; a sister, Hassie Cleveland of MI; and 12 grandchildren.

Robert Lonzo Dunn, 73, of Sparta passed away Thursday, March 1, 2001.
Dunn was born March 19, 1927, in Putnam County, the son of Evans Monroe and Edith Steele Dunn. He was retired from Red Cap.
Services were Saturday, March 3, 2001, in Doyle Church of Christ with burial in Doyle Cemetery. Bobby Wilhite officiated.
Dunn was preceded in death by a sister, Rosell Brock, and two sons, Dennis Earl and Robert Evans.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Dunn of Sparta; a daughter, Patricia Cunningham of Sparta; two granddaughters, Tracey Pineda of Cookeville; Tabitha Williamson of Sparta; three brothers, Willie L. Dunn of Sparta; Loyd Dunn of Sparta; Kenny Dunn of Quebeck; two great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Jacob; and step-mother, Sallie Dunn of Sparta.

Tracy Lynn Graham, 32, of Sparta passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2001.
Graham was born November 19, 1968, in Sparta, the son of Willie Houston Graham and Anna Knowles Graham. He was a truck driver.
Services were Saturday, March 3, 2001, in Hensley Chapel Baptist Church with burial in Young Cemetery. Buster Young officiated.
Survivors include his wife, Missy Irene Graham; two daughters, Mindy Sue Graham; Marla Lynn Graham; mother, Anna Knowles Graham; a sister, Patricia Ann Carson and husband Matt; a niece, Halie Tennelle Carson; in-laws, Tracy and Misty Dover; father and mother-in-law, Judy and Bob Parsons.

Willie A. Newby, 82, of Cookeville passed away Monday, March 5, 2001.
Newby was born September 25, 1918, in Van Buren County, the daughter of John Titus Hillis and Nancy Louella Roberts Hillis. She was retired from Rockford Textile and attended the Church of Christ.
Services were Thursday, March 8, 2001, in the Love-Cantrell & Cope Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Crain Hill Cemetery. Alvin Pegg officiated.
Newby was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Bouldin.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Bogle of Nashville; Judy Constock of Unionville; Carol Newby of FL; two sons, Bill Newby of Cookeville; Butch Newby of Algood; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Alva Etheline Sims “Granny” Tallent
Alva Etheline Sims “Granny” Tallent, 82, of Sparta passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2001.
Tallent was born March 9, 1918, in White County, the daughter of Thomas Francis Sims and Rebecca Jane Green Sims. She worked in the garment industry and was a member of the Lighthouse of Mercy Full Gospel Church.
Services will be Friday, March 9, 2001, at 11 a.m. in the Thurman Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Corinth Cemetery. Brother Tony Vinson and Brother Chris Hash will officiate.
Tallent was preceded in death by her husband, William Talmadge “Bill” Tallent.
